RomanceRe: Ethics of Reporting Your Friend's Infidelity to His Girlfriend by CimonJorr(m): 8:19am On Aug 17, 2005
Being your Brother's Keeper means looking out for him, and doing things in his interest..

Not trying to drive a wedge between him and his babe, no matter the problems they may / may not be having...

Bottom line.. If he was truly being his brother's keeper, he'd have advised/councelled his friend [James] to stop messing around...

In the event of Helen possibly coming to complain about his friend's behavior or attitude torwards her, then the next step would be for him to tell her that he'd talk to his friend..

Now.. that's how a TRUE friend would behave..

Peacec out... tongue

Me thinks...

John had no business getting involved with this in the first instance..

Even if he'd become friends with Helen, she isn't his girlfriend nor sister.. If he truly wanted to be a "friend", a better approach was to advise his friend to stop cheating on Helen, and not to dabaru [potentially break-up] their relationship.. Me thinks John has ulterior motives in this situation... This is tantamount to putting sand in another man's garri...

@ Latoya..

I'm not very good discussing myself... that's why I asked u to read up on my posts and form your own opinions, and write ur impressions..

To see my posts is actually quite simple.. Just go to the key stats on the top right, search for my user ID, and see my posts there.. then u can read to ur hearts delight..
Will still answer ur questions, but want ur own impressions.. not what I tell u.. cheesy wink

hmmmm..... *some people are really testing the waters here... grin*

Why am I not marriedhuh..

Because I am not...

There's no law that says that everyone who's 32 must be married... still, you haven't yet told me what u think of me.. so, back to you then.. take a 'walk' through my posts, and tell me what u think of me..
Nairaland GeneralRe: CimonJorr - The Saint by CimonJorr(op): 7:13am On Aug 16, 2005
This has already been answered above...

Next question??..

[Don't forget... the challenge is for you to tell me what u know/think/ or feel about me..
You can get a feel about the kind of person I am from reading my posts to various topics on Nairaland.. ]

Wow...

I almost didn't do this...

But for some strange reason.. I'm rather restless tonight...

I honestly don't know how to begin this.. so I'll rather let others do it for me..
I'll leave it up to y'all to read through my posts.. [if u're interested, and have enough time.. ] and tell me what you all think of me...

If there are any direct questions, I'll do my best to answer as honestly as possible... unless it enters the domain of "Personal Privacy"...

So....

*You may begin...  wink*
Christianity EtcRe: Fornication or Homosexuality, Which is a Greater Sin? by CimonJorr(m): 9:12pm On Aug 15, 2005
Bro...

There is no "more terrible sin"...

SIN is SIN..

However...

There are some sins which are easier to make restitutions for [if u believe or subscribe to that principle..]

To put it in another way, most sins are clearly acknowledged in the Bible.. but some of them.. a certain few... are clearly acknowledged as "abominations onto God"...

That, I believe, is the fundamental difference..

@ Trooper...

Hey bro..

Take it easy..

All the time, when we choose to seek advice in the public court of opinion, we're bound to meet a lot fo characters.. both the useful ones, who'll give useful and relevant advice, and the "roman citizens".. who are only there for their voice to be heard..

Chillax.. there's no need splitting ur hairs over nothing..
People are bound to rub you in different ways.. Some the right way, others otherwise.. Keep ur hat on, and only listen to what's useful to you..

One thing you'll find out about us Nigerians.... we're a very opinionated people..

[you only have to read through the posts here to see what I'm talking about...]

BusinessRe: National ID Card to Become Credit Card? by CimonJorr(m): 8:21pm On Aug 15, 2005
Right...

Let us not be quick to criticize...

But can you please tell me in which of the countries you've mentioned as an example... in fact, in which country in the world.. where the national identity document [ID card, NI number, social security, whatever..] is currently being used as a "Credit Scheme" huh..

The two ideas have merit.. and should be handled individually..

their merger?? huh..

WesleyA..

I do not believe it is possible to get babies from snogging [kissing]....  grin

Nike...
For your own safety and peace of mind.. STAY OUT OF IT...
It ain't ur problem.. So, no need to go jump in the mud... Ur friend who knew that the guy wasn't available, and yet still jumped into it with him fully knows what she's doing.. and besides, she's how old?.. 16??.. then she's fully aware of what she's doing.. as well as the consequences.. [if I'm not mistaken, you're 14.. right?..
You're much too young to be giving yourself all this stress over nothing...

Walk away...

Uncle Saint...

WesleyanA:
the guy is really sick in the head for asking a girl to marry him and going afterwards to snogg a 16 y/old. o_O........ that's really immature. mind you..just because a guy is 18 doesn't mean he's mature... some guys are really ..........

i feel bad for the girl sad..can't someone tell her her fiance is cheating. i think the advice i'll gve you nike is to tell the fiancee. she should cancel the engagement asap. the guy can continue snogging the 16 y/old and end up having 500 kids from different women in his lifetime for all i care as long as the (good) girl is safe and finds a better guy that cares about her. smiley

why would you want to be w/ an engaged guy anyways it's stupid except if the girl's really bad and she just want's to use him if not then she should expect him to cheat on her over and over again if they ever get married.

Sorry to say this.. but this is one very "STUPID" idea... tongue

Trust people to take something nice and mess it up.. only in Nigeria can things like this happen regularly and on a very grandoise scale.. angry
SportsRe: Best Nigerian Footballer of All Time by CimonJorr(m): 8:47pm On Aug 13, 2005
I don't think you guys give enough credit to Garba Lawal..

He is Mr. Consistency exemplified.. and his Patriotism is unquestionable..

Besides, how many players are as versatile as him... I can tell you... None.. if not for the numerous times when he's been called upon to fill in the gaping gaps in the national team a lot of time, then look at his work rate..

The criteria for assessment shouldnt be based on flair or skills [I believe a better word here should be tricks - "football artistry" shey??..].. but on all-round play... tongue

I am serious...

Here the young man is claiming to be deeply involved with two girls he has no definite intentions torwards [or should we call it a platonic relationshiphuh].. even if sex isn't  involved.. by his own admission, he's even closer to them than their lovers.. And at the end of the day, when push comes to shove, is he going to select one of them to have a serious relationship with?.. or is he going to leave two hearts broken... huh...

[Awaiting an answer from him to the question... huh]

SportsRe: John Mikel Obi. Which Club and Why? by CimonJorr(m): 3:20pm On Aug 13, 2005
And what of lazy and greedy club mangement which wants to capitalize on the skills of the young lad to make an easy buck.. there were in no position to make the offers and negotiations which they made.. and when the story came out u could easily see their panic.. as far as I am concerned, FIFA's judgement just shows that oyibos always look after their own..

Cancel the current managers conrtact by fax, deny him talking to his client.. the gall of it... angry

timmy:
well i think's the decision of fifa's is to the lad's favor.. Just feel those lazy agents, just want to use him.
Man UTD is full of young guy, roonie, ronaldo. etc men make the guy use him head those kind of opporturnities don't come easily around african players..
SportsRe: John Mikel Obi. Which Club and Why? by CimonJorr(m): 11:14am On Aug 13, 2005
I guess every coach has their success stories...

But currently, who is on top of the game??
I still feel that Chelsea's current crop of players would offer a more conducive environment for knowledge transfer [they are younger], though if it was primarily to go into the youth development program, then West Ham and Arsenal may have the edge in that debt..

IMOhuh clarrification required please...  huh

Chxta:
You forgot about Cantona. He was a talented flop before he left Leeds for ManU and Fergie raised him.
The point is this: all decent coaches can point to players that they've raised, Mourinho isn't the only one.
Obi would have had a better chance of developing in ManU than in Chelsea.

Anyways, FIFA have made IMO the best decision for him. So he can go elsewhere when his contract expires at the end of the year.
RomanceRe: Have You Ever Broken Anybody's Heart? by CimonJorr(m): 8:41am On Aug 13, 2005
@ Layi...

You have two girls... 18 & 15 who are closer to you than their 'lovers'..

Which of them would you say is your girlfriend [let's not use the 'lover' word here]..

Or are you just playing with the two of them..?? huh
SportsRe: John Mikel Obi. Which Club and Why? by CimonJorr(m): 8:34am On Aug 13, 2005
It would be nice to know on what exactly the decision was based..

Also, for all the peeps beefing Chelsea, let's be a bit objective here..

Before 'The Special One' came over to Chelsea, Joe Cole was a good (skillful) but not productive player.. Mourinho's arrival changed that.. Mourhino has had a nack of developing players to the epitome of their ability.. At Mikel's age, he needs development.. and who else to develop under than some of the best players in the world, and under the guidance of one of the best coaches in the world.. Let's not be blinded by Chelsea's apparent wealth.. We never heard this beef when Man U and Arsenal were dominating the Premiership and transfer markets.. tongue
