Swaylore: Yeah true that's not the first time I've been receiving packages. The person that sent it had to bring another one himself.
I'm even planning to go to the post office tomorrow. Is it advisable to go?
Normally it takes like 2 to 3 weeks even during the pandemic around September. if you have the tracking number you can go to the post office or better still track it online but patience is what you need now. |

Romance › Re: High Court Judge Weeps As DNA Reveals He’s Not Father Of Three Adult Children by Cleanworld(f): 9:05pm On Feb 01, 2021 |
treatise: out after he allegedly discovered that three children he had with his ex-wife were not his biological offspring. Anthony Okorodas was sworn in as a judge of Delta State High Court by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2018.
In a statement last week, he accused his former wife, Juliet Ototo, of cheating during their marriage, which ended 11 years ago. Peoples Gazette could not immediately reach Ms. Ototo for comments. A telephone number provided for her did not connect Monday evening.
Mr. Okorodas statement that he did not give birth to his three adult children, two of whom are already in tertiary institutions, comes amidst a storm of controversy over DNA examinations. Last month, there was an uproar after it was revealed that an executive at Nigerian banking giant FCMB had illicit affairs with one of his female subordinates who was married, leading allegedly to the death of the woman’s husband.
The woman denied the allegations, as well as the top FCMB official. The bank has since launched an investigation into the matter and asked its official to proceed on a break pending the conclusion of findings.
PRESS STATEMENT: BY HON. JUSTICE ANTHONY EZONFADE OKORODAS
Ladies and gentlemen of the Press, I thank you for attending this press conference. I have taken the decision to address the Press in respect of certain traumatic developments that have arisen between me and my ex-wife, Barrister Celia Juliet Ototo of the Ototo Family of Ovom in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. It is now nearly 11 years since our separation and divorce. This Press Statement is important in order to prevent damaging speculations, half-truths and outright lies from persons who may want to cash in on the tragedy that has befallen my home.
Sometime during the coronavirus lockdowns early last year, I received information from an anonymous source that indicated that the last of the three children from my previous marriage was in fact not my biological child. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions at the time, I had to wait until August 2020 to carry out a DNA test. The DNA test result which came out in September 2020 confirmed that I was not the biological father of the child.
Consequently, I convened a joint meeting between my extended family on the one side, and Celia’s paternal and maternal families (i.e., the Ototo Family of Ovom Town and the Agbagidi Family of Yenagoa Town) on the other side, where I confronted her with the paternity fraud allegation. This repulsive act of my ex-wife prompted me to conduct DNA tests in respect of the two other children. A few days ago, the results came out. Sadly, none of them is my biological child.
This abomination has caused excruciating mental trauma to me, my present wife, Barrister (Mrs) Ebi Okorodas and all of the innocent children involved. This is particularly so for Ebi, who has had to agree to have DNA tests on the four children of our own marriage. Thankfully, the test results confirm each of them to be my biological child.
It is important to state that Celia walked away from the marriage when her youngest child (who is now 17 years of age) was just 6 years old. Since then, all of her children have lived with my wife, Ebi and I, and we have been wholly responsible for their wellbeing and education.
Friends who are close to my family would readily attest to the fact that unless specifically informed, no one could tell that the children were not the biological children of my present wife.
Ebi and I would continue to support the children in any way that we can. Indeed, even after the release of the first DNA test result which proved that I was not the biological father of the last child, we have continued to pay for his education in a private boarding school. The two other children are University undergraduates. The first, a female, will be a graduate later this year, and the second will soon enter his 4th year of study. We pray for them to overcome the trauma and become responsible citizens of our country.
For Celia and her boyfriend or boyfriends, we leave them to their conscience. Thank you very much.
The Hon. Justice Anthony Ezonfade Okorodas, PhD. Judge High Court of Delta State January 28, 2021.

Travel › Re: The Forms Of Racism You Have Faced As An African Abroad by Cleanworld(f): 4:19pm On Feb 01, 2021*. Modified: 6:34pm On Feb 01, 2021 |
lionness: Not sure this counts as racism sha... At the airport in Dubai, I waited until everyone was out so I can move from the my economy section to the business class so I can snap pix to oppress my friends at home. While traveling to Boudreaux in France, I’ve seen some Nigerians do it, na so this angry Indian host attack: “you Nigerians always sneaking to Business class to take pictures. You lot are fake.” I was so ashamed I couldn’t take the picture and waka quietly commot. But as in, does it matter so far I board plane.
Second racism, me and my boy and two of my cousins are leaving a shopping mall and headed for the Knottingly train station make we enter one owambe for Leeds, na so this white grandma wey approach us just stop and take race. If you see as the grandma run as of say we wan rob am. I just watch am zoom and my head wan scatter.
The third na for Dubai—as in Arabs or Indians, I nor sabi this man tribe, but those people hate us nor be small. Na for the Duty Free section I wan pack cheap chocolate wey I go share for family members at home, and I carry my bag, you won’t believe it, this Arab or Indian man just dey follow me bumper to bumper—and on his face was the expression: “you thief, get out of here or I will disgrace you.” Every other tribes were there buying, but this guy, na me wey be Nigerian e dey follow up and down. Anyways, the bastard smile after I pulled out the $1200 wey dey my pocket and try do the addition from AED to dollar. I just tire, sometimes e nor good to be Nigerian
The last one na for Shivaji for Mumbai in India. One Indian werey called Kalol wants my business to come and inspect his special milling machine. Na so I wan take explore India small. See, they way they searched me in that place after almost shredding my bags, I fear. After I was cleared, someone came out of a room and said they should stop the “kali.” Na me be kali which means a special name for blacks. My Nigerian passport was a big red flag and they asked me to remove my jacket again and searched me. As in, the man was confused that I wasn’t carrying drugs. He really couldn’t believe it and the thing choke am die. He later asked me why I was coming and personally called the Kalol guy who only sent me a taxi to pick me up. I am never ever going to India for anything in my life...those people get special hate and racism for us Non of these are your fault ofcourse but some Nigerians have really ''show'' these people the stuff they are made of... through 419 and dishonesty . Your oyinbo friends will always treat you nice with lots of respect but once you are with an oyinbo strangers the first thing they will say is that' i hope you are not one of those NIGERIA PRINCE?' its sooo bad that its hard for a Nigeria to feel really comfortable abroad that's another reason mental health is on the rise there because many can't and don't mingle at all. when you tell those that haven't gone there they will think that you don't want their progress untill they get there and see that money doesn't grow on a tree and getting a job as people of colour is not easy and 419, corruption has made the oyinbo so weary of us even when you have good intensions I was in a meeting with group of ''races'' sometimes last year and a nigerian lady tender her suggestion on the topic of the day but to my surprise an oyinbo just asked her where she came from and she answered him that she's a Nigerian and the next thing oyinbo reply back was that'' haaa no wonder Nigerians are so aggresive'' meanwhile this lady speak in a normal tone and i just winked to her to say no more. This is a good reason why we all need to work on showing other countries that not all Nigerians are corrupt through our deeds and if you can explain to them. it will take a long walk but we will get there. Those that want to make quick money doesnt care to sore our reputations but no matter how much you spend as blackman, oyibo will believe that its a stolen money. Queenlovely: Every Community has thieves, kidnappers, cultist, and every vices you can imagine,
These criminals are not spirit, they live amongst us, they live in our community.
if we can solve the problems within our community, we can solve the problems in our country.
When a community knows all it's residents, and their occupation, criminals cannot hide amongst, with information you can fight crime.
The Government is overburdened, the over dependence on the central government is destroying our lives, our community are too poor and too weak to fight crime.
An isolated Community is a weak Community, our local government are weak, our Ward and council are weak, the grassroots is weak.
Make it impossible for criminals to commit in twon and run to Ethiope. share information, if not we will lose more of our brothers and sisters to these killers
We should start fighting crime from the grassroots not from the state level. what do you mean that the ''The Government is overburdened''....take China and India for example they are 10x the population of Nigeria yet their security system ain't this bad. |

Canadianelenu: Recently, the increase in armed robberies and banditry has become a disturbing trend in Nigeria. It is even more horrendous when the men of the underworld not only steal when they attack but will also rape any unfortunate female caught in the invasion.
My wife and I were watching a real life crime documentary one evening and in the documentary, a lady was shot and killed after resisting rape advances from 6 men who invaded her residence.
Fortunately, the criminals were later caught using forensic evidence and paraded by law enforcement. These men were tough looking strongly built men who no doubts would have torn the lady apart if they had succeeded in raping her.
However, the shocker was when my wife of 4 years said, and I quote “she just died for nothing and has caused her family a lot of grief...if it were me, I would just let them have their way and live to see another day”.
Although this sounded very right, it also sounded very wrong at the same time and has since been messing with my head as I cannot get the picture out of my mind. We could both see that they were 6 hefty men and yet she felt she should have................
Ladies, am I over reacting and men, what do you think? How can something feel so right and so wrong simultaneously? Remember sometimes we say things that are different from what we do when we are faced with reality. Don't judge her yet untill you see her in action. Her action will eventually determine your reaction not just verbal words. Don't allow your mind to play game with you. May God bless your home and may you always find wisdom in the affairs of your home. Now let it slide My2cent |
