babygirlfl: That is my point exactly. Is Ngozi Iweala's husband going to ask her to leave her job and dish the food in front of him? People won't call a spade a spade. This issue is simple. It's not whether we can serve our husband or not. It is about a man waiting for the busy wife to dish from the food right in front of him. Notice how the story has been turned to make the woman bad. Agreed it won't kill the woman if she dishes it but to ignore the obvious lack of respect and love on the part of the man and exaggerate the woman's refusal is beyond comprehension. That's as expected. |

@bold, possibly. If she is more out of the house and busy with other stuff outside the home, he will graduate from serving the food in front of him onto his plate to making dinner before she gets home sometimes. The pouting and tantrums is because he's seeing her available all the time to attend to him. I think it's unnecessary bringing such a trivial matter to the social media. For me she didn't try but I'm surprised some people don't think there's something wrong with the man's behavior. Even rejecting food because it was in front of you and not put on your plate? That's abnormal. Why can't we just call a spade a spade. His behavior isn't normal. babygirlfl: Did I read it right? Are we talking about Oga dishing food that is in front of him?
It seems the wife is a housewife. I don't see the man asking the wife to dish food that is already served if she too was getting ready for work at the same time. It does not make Oga right but at least he will have an excuse.
From the fb replies, it is clear most women don't pamper their husband because they love and adore him but because they are scared another woman will take their place. Yet the said men still jump from one woman to another claiming men are polygamous. Just how these women live their life like that beats me. So sad. |

Cc Akposy Touchmeder waxdude Jollyjoy Cc MarvellousGod https://www.nairaland.com/marvellousgod Chillisauce: Not sweet tooth but how did you make this ? I followed this recipe from simplyrecipes.com. Exactly. Step by step. Only difference is that I added dried raisins and a pinch of pure grated nutmeg to mine. I used two bananas and 2/3 cups of sugar instead of a whole cup of cup. It wasn't overly sweet. Just right. But you can add the whole cup of you like it sweeter. Banana Bread Recipe Prep time: 10 minutesCook time: 1 hourYield: Makes one loaf No need for a mixer for this recipe! Clean-up is easy too, if you want, you can mix everything in one bowl. The best bananas to use for banana bread are those that are over-ripe. The yellow peels should be at least half browned, and the bananas inside squishy and browning.
Ingredients 2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled 1/3 cup melted butter 1 cup of sugar (can easily use 3/4 cup, or drop it down to 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet) 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon baking soda Pinch of salt 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
Method Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes (check at 50 minutes) at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve. (A bread knife helps to make slices that aren't crumbly.)

Family › Re: I'm Having Doubts About Getting Married Next Month by cococandy(f): 5:43pm On Sep 01, 2015 |
Cold feet before a wedding is normal as it is a big nay huge and permanent life decision. You wonder if this decision will be worth it. So yes doubts are okay. But if you can't pinpoint any particular thing wrong with the guy, then you don't really have any problems. Nobody is ever 100percent sure until they start living day to day with the person.
As for the new guy, pls don't make any decisions because of him. I have zero trust for anyone who would go out with someone that's already in a committed relationship. If you leave your man for him, he won't trust you not to leave him for someone else. |

Na side eye I dey use look anyone who says that rubbish on this forum. They are insincere and mischievous. You're talking of the market place. Go to the civil service sectors and private companies, banks and what have you and see that working class women are of the same proportion if not more than the men. Yet somehow they all believe the wives are all dependent. Sow the children as seed? Lol those churches need money. . SalC: Seriously when I see the number of women on the streets of Naija with babies strapped to their backs and perhaps pulling another by the hand and a tray of groundnut of a bowl of sachet water on their heads, another in the market place with baby on the back and a pushing a wheel barrow of this or that under the scorching sun. Then you come online to see men claiming they can't take care of their own babies because they work for the upkeep of their family, it beats my imagination.
So the women who work or do business and still take care of the babies are now fools? I don't even want to go into the fact that most of these men who claim to be to busy to take care of their children are actually being fed and cared for by their wives
If they are actually providing for their families as they want us to believe, those women should be at home or more conducive places doing their business with those children and not under the sun.
Real men work for their families' upkeep and still have time for their kids.
You suggested they should sell the kids, incase they don't find buyers, I suggest they sow the kids as seed on faith in their churches |

Whynotthetruth: Border control is function of Nigeria immigration and other security agencies not customs...
Customs has almost automated most of their operations though a few still remains...that's yam and goat analogy of Jonathan or building strong institutions Jonathan did in different sectors including customs...
What custom needs is to continue with those Jonathan/Dikko reforms to automate ALL their activities thereby minimizing such leakages...not getting one old man in the name of cleaning imaginary system...
What and how will Ali do it if not what Jonathan/Dikko did...That's enduring legacy and building strong institutions as against strong individuals who can only be at a place at a time...
BTW do you know how long it will take Ali to understand the system before planning on how to check whatever he wants to achieve ....
Buhari is simply ridiculous and unfortunately cheered on by ridiculous people...It's modern and technology driven age plzzzz...Buhari and his style are analogue bro... |

wristbangle: Guess she wants to pick her market from some people @ port and it arrived earlier than expected. lol. So the woman has a business or trade of some sorts right? Yet somehow the we believe the fathers alone provide fianacncial support for the family. You said you don't mind as long as it doesn't become a norm for you? So what if it does and you have to do that many times a week. You people better repent of this unnecessary and destructive pride that doesn't benefit anyone. I was in the clinic on Friday. Come see fathers who accompany their wives for prenatal checkups signing up for classes in baby care. Learning to change diapers, feed them, bathe them and what have you. Some who learned a long time ago teach others. They have the infants to themselves anyday the mom has to work or isn't around or just for the heck of it. It's their baby too. And they aren't jobless. They all have jobs too but manage to balance child care with their wives. Na for "face me I face you" in one slum in ajegunle you will see a father forming king of jungle towards his own little baby. Where's the love? Better repent y'all. |

wristbangle: Fathers most time provide the financial support for the family as some of them see babysitting their child for a moment as not their responsibility. You should know what am talking about especially the ego guys. In the stories and on nairaland alone. In real life, the wives also work to contribute to the home. |
