There's this naija Church that I go to whenever I'm in Florida and they don't need any reason to bring food.

It's a normal Sunday routine for them. We can't just do without food at gatherings.

Regardless, I don't think any married man should be staying out late at night. He can absolutely spend time with his friends without keeping late nights. So if you can tell him you don't have problems with him having his boys-night-outs but he should draw the line at coming home late, you guys might reach a compromise there.

I'm assuming your husband is yet to get used to the idea of being a married man who's responsibility of first to his wife and kids.
You said you're married just under a year. He's still learning in my opinion.
Some people are overwhelmed by responsibility. Maybe he's like that and feels like running away to spend his free time with his friends ensures him that his still free and not caged.

Good decision no to fight with him over the issue again. You never know if he may come home after a few drink one day and the fight will turn to something else. Your wellbeing is paramount at this stage.

If he won't listen to you, I suggest third party interference. Report him to his parents or anyone he respects let them talk some sense into him.

Hopefully when you put to bed, he will come around.

Architez here. Like I told Ishilove, whoever is obsessed with the minutiae of every word in the bible does not understand how the bible came about. Many of these things were finally written down decades after they were first said or experienced. Add to that interpretations and normal human bias, it becomes a wonder there are only these small amount of contradictions.

Like I told Ishilove, Christianity is a spiritual religion.
It is not about following a book or obeying rituals (Judaism and Islam). It is about following a person and having His spirit in you. Once you let His spirit enter you, it becomes quite inconsequential wether the bible or any book is contradictory.

Some are contradictory and you have to understand the bible was written by human beings too. They are bound to make human mistakes like those miscalculation of ages or stuff like that.
Years of translation from Hebrew into Latin and into English doesn't help either.


But some of what you wrote there are not contradictory in that you quoted them out of context.

These things happen everywhere and people turn a blind eye out of shame and the inability to seek for justice.
At least, I once sat down a class-mate in High School, who was promiscuous and had a heart-to-heart talk with her. She told me stuffs that made me wretch. I don't know why our country is yet to see this as a national emergency. I know some NGOs and women orgs are trying their best but this is an all-hands-on-deck kind of problem.
A great percentage of our kids undergo sexual abuse. If you or your friend has not been sexually molested, you'd know someone who has. If you don't know someone who has been molested, your friend knows one. That's a high number.

I believe the problem lies with the police institution. They way they handle some of these cases before it gets to court is pretty disgusting.
