@kreamdiva and Zikkie I just wanted to touch base and find out how everyone is. It takes a very long time to recover from the emotional scars left by an abusive relationship or bitter divorce. As such if you are still feeling the pain I would say don't you worry much about it these things take time.

I am doing better everyday my kids have flourished and are doing so well. I hope you and children are all well. here's to us making it!!!!

They don't care that our GDP is the highest in Africa when more than half of our people live below the poverty line. They laugh at us. They think we're backwards and all they see is poor black people living in a poor country who are very eager to come to the west. Enough of this high horse b.s. talk because if we had such "superior values," we should have fixed our country by now.

the more I pay attention to what I put in my mouth, the more I realize majority of us aren't eating food; we are only eating "food-like" products...

Haven't been here in a while so lemme give a quick chronological update on my food-fitness journey...

- stopped drinking soda, fizzy drinks, juice etc.

- stopped drinking milk

- stopped eating red meat

-stopped eating white meat, eggs and seafood (this was hard)

- stopped eating anything that doesn't grow

-stopped eating anything with more than one ingredient.

It took me 1.5 years to get here, but I'm happy with the progress. It might exteme for most people to stop eating all the food I listed, however, I live in a country where real food is becoming a myth. Everything is processed. Expiration dates on food products are getting extended. Cancer is at an all time high; even if you don't have it in your genes you have a high risk of getting cancer in this country; thanks to the food . It's scary.

So, yh, that's about it.
I'll cut myself some slack anytime I travel out of the country.

Like i said in my previous comment, Forget about those western nonsense that is ruining our sense of reasoning. A sane parent will never even want their son to get another woman if his wife is good wife and behave normal, You cannot expect parent most especially the mother to support a wife who disrespect her son in front of everyone always... for instance, I have seen so many cases even here on NL where a lady will say she don't her mother inlaw to be coming over to there house, Some will never wanna see any family member around their hubby.. Some will not want you to go out with your friends trying to control you everytime and in most cases this happen because the lady support of her mother... The only people you will be seeing around are mostly her family, Sometimes when any of your family come to say hello she will want to know their mission what they have come for.. some will even be telling you how much to give your mother, Someone will be acting funny when the hubby family come visiting and you want the family to just sit down and watch?


In my own case I call my wife when she misbehave saying she know my mother is controlling, If i want to go into any imvestment of buy any properties or do anything My (our Lives) why will always go and talk to my parent about it first so what's her mission in the house.. and my response is.. Woman you can't tell me what to do, I am performing my role as a husband and making sure you never lack anything.. But concerning my other normal stuff, Like my business, my investment etc i have to seek the opinion of elders and the most trusted are my Parent father and mother... then she will start nagging... I never get angry and my responses are always brief and direct and one of the response she always get is, Woman, I have known my Father and Mother for good 26yrs before i even know you exist so you can turn my back at them cos i get married to you. Shikenna.

What I do is when I get bored of eating clean all the time, I go on my regular diet and eat something 'unhealthy' in little quantity.

I buy the granola in bars. Little bars of 100 calories per bar. That way, I know exact amount of calories I'm taking in with each bar.

They are rich in fibers and proteins. Don't be afraid to indulge.

I tend to have Oats and a fruit( banana or summer berries) with a cup of Green tea and some days shredded wheat. I wanted to try Granola but I read the sugar content on some of the granola brands on the supermarket shelves and I picked race is there a way I could make my own granola mix with nuts, dried fruit and limit the sugar content?

I need fast and easy ideas that I can take with me to work which is why oats/cereal is my default as mornings are so manic for me.( getting my daughter to eat her own food is enough stress )

I dont mind prepping the night before though as I do that anyway for lunch and snacks

I had a similar case, mine was kinda worst. but I was told its not with her clear eyes. because she is a very loving woman who can give her full salary to a stranger. she loves my step siblings with her life. But she hates me with passion. They gang up to kill me with my dad's gun one night, I had to run for my life to an unknown destination at age 19. its a long story that have season one to hundred. but rightly now, she is denying everything she did to me. she said am lieing. the love comes n goes, its not fully clear yet but far far better.
