So there is no argument for instances of temptation. So the woman should not exercise wisdom. Of course the act is the full responsibility of the man but the woman has to bear the consequences. That is why we wear seat belts even though we drive carefully. That is why we watch over our children though we bring them up properly. That's why pilots run a check list every flight no matter how experienced they are simply because in life there are no guarantees. If a home is run carelessly it can be hit with scandals.
so it is easier to encourage child labor than encourage self control in full grown adult human beings huh?

Would you also not hire a male worker to run some domestic stuff in your home if you really need to just because your wife could be tempted?

Seun, Where's the "rolls eye" emoji?

I dey o my sister.

Allergic to plantain ke my best food. Trying to stay away from deep fried food ni so now have my plantain boiled or roasted.
one tip, you could spray the sliced ripe plantain with cooking spray, lay them on a flat oven tray and pop in the oven.
Or spray your regular pan and spray the plantain then put on your stove top at very low heat. To prevent them from burning.
Turn them on the other side when one side is cooked

It still comes out like deep fried plantain sans the oil. Takes a little while to cook too if you put it on low heat but the sacrifice we make for food we love huh? cheesy

That's what I do when I can't hold the urge anymore. I really do like fried plantain too.

Really, hire minors just because her husband lacks self control?
You might thinks it's funny but that's the mentality behind child labor in the name of housegirlism that's rampant in Nigeria.

Some women believe they are protecting their marriage by not hiring mature ladies who could 'seduce' their husbands.
So they go for children.

Why women leave men like tartarus to marry those horrible men is what I don't understand. Well done sir.
there aren't many of them like that to go round. Those of them like that are bullied to show some 'alpha' traits.

Maybe by poking anything with hole that comes their way. Who knows grin

Oga calm down.
If your wife cheats on you too she gets to blame you for it.

That way, none of you is at fault. wink Lol.

Pls don't take some deluded opinions you read on nairaland seriously. Where do you think the 21 million insane people in Nigeria come to express their opinions?
tartarus:
What the hell?? So if I cheat on my wife she is to be blamed?? What nonsense! Many Nigerian men have a terrible way of thinking. How would I leave my wife and then go and Zap my maid?? Why can't nigerian men have self control?? *spits* undecided

Many of you saying why can't she do all the chores by herself, how many of you men can juggle house chores, babysitting and work?? Why can't u put yourself in her shoes?. So if I cheat on my wife I'll tell her I did it cos she couldn't do the chores herself?

So if I can afford a maid, I shouldn't, just so my hubby don't cheat? What sort of reasoning is this?
Don't be perplexed.

It's obvious some people's way of seeing things is very erm... I'll wait until I find a suitable euphemism for it.

The wife of any president is the First Lady.
Just like the husband of any female president is the first gentleman.

No one is asking her to have a constitutional office or run state affairs from it.

Smh

Sholly, does this happen everywhere with the Yoruba tribe? I need to know.
I don't think it does.
I've read some posters say their families don't care about such things.
I guess it depends on how traditional each family is.

If I wasn't married and I met a man whose family require that I call even junior ones (younger than me) aunty or uncle, I'd probably give all of them the middle finger and tell him to find someone else.

Can you explain why you hold on to that view?

I think a woman who has the intention of cheating would do that. The same thing can be said of a man..
Can it?
I figured we are in the business of blaming others when someone cheats.

Na real lol!

She is not a 'first lady' yet she uses the privileges and rights of the 'first lady' to achieve her aim.
I don't fancy eye service sha.
If she didn't want to be First Lady, why was she campaigning with her husband to win the presidency?

Pfft undecided

If a meeting of African First Ladies are called, who attends for Nigeria since we are first ladyless? undecided

Instead of 'denying' the position, why doesn't she handle it the way she believes it should be handled?

Well, if she wants to unfirst lady herself so bad, let her divorce Buhari.

Reminds me of another tag.

Extreme humility is a form of pride.
false humility you mean. Lol

The wife is to blame. . .

For everything. cool
Exactly.

Just as the man is to blame if his wife sleeps with their male help, gateman or driver.
How dare he employ a full bodied man in the house to do the heavy lifting and manly stuff when it could be a temptation to his wife?
