nonjebose: I concur. They are switching off their phones, and oga Awute is begging hotel officials to save him the embarrassment our fellow Nigerians are horrible people. All they do is blame the government but will never do what they are assigned to do. I can bet you that money has been mapped out and disbursed to the various agency who's duty it will be to pay the hotels and whatever over there. But the people in charge of those operations will lock up the money and use it for investments only to release when they've made some interest from it. That's if they even release all of it.Horrible humans. |

You make it sound like she had no control over the matter, like even the man has no control over the matter, 'a man that will cheat will cheat' what does that even mean? yes she has no control over it. |

thanks naijababe: I once watched a video on youtube where it was said that juicing is a lot like baking
Certain vegetable are like your basic ingredients because they produce more juice, you should always try to have one or two of them in your juice i.e. celery, carrots, cucumber etc.
Greens: Most produce very little juice but their juices are more concentrated at least one should be present but it is really up to you how many types you add, most leafy vegetables also fall in these category and this where broccoli belongs.
Fruits are essentially sweeteners and include fruits with lots of juice but some have what can best be described as nectar because their juices are like smoothies, these include mangoes, avocados, most berries and bananas, the latter category is added if you want a thicker juice or a smoothies without the bulk.
The spices i.e. ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace and lemon/lime - i put the latter two in these category because they add a nice kick to your juice.
Enjoy |

OP I agree with this. Maybe you need to give him space to sort out his legal issues before getting back with him. babyosisi: I really do feel for you I am beginning to understand your frustration It looks like this man is incapable of giving you the things you need in this marriage He is used to being taken care of and being rescued by everyone You took on that role from the beginning and it may never change Please don't spend any more money on him Save them for the welfare of the kids that are now your sole responsibility Looks like you need to cut your loses and move on Not easy but that is what you must do for your sanity's sake |

TooNoisy: So you have said marriage is very important to women - and also men. But who does a woman marry? A man. So you have stated that it is very important for a woman to have a man in her life. Yes or no. I take that as yes, however, this is something most feminists will disagree with. If it is very important, then why castigate women who really want to get married.
Secondly you have said you would rather be married and I believe you are married to a guy to love. For you, love is the main thing in choosing a partner. Love is actually very difficult to define but that is a topic for another day. But another woman may choose to marry for a different reason. Must love (that we can hardly define) be the only reason in choosing a partner? Can there be other reasons like profile of the potential spouse, family background or cultural similarities? Financial ability, procreation etc? Some of these are valid reasons.
Then you bring up another igbo adage that says "the one that nobody married" as one of your reasons for feminism. I equate that to calling a man poor. So if someone says - that man is very poor; would you now become very bitter, sad and form a movement around it. That someone mocks an unmarried woman does not mean she has zero value. It's similar to calling a man poor. You have just decided that the adage means the woman is entirely worthless and has zero value. those two have nothing in common. But I don't expect us to agree. So leave it at that. |

TooNoisy: Let it be on record that a nairaland feminist believes marriage is very important to women. How important is marriage to women. Would you say very important? this smacks of an underhanded effort to ... Do what? I don't even know. Let me indulge you anyway. How important is marriage to women? Very important. Is it also important to men? Yes. Very important. It is important to all of us. But not everyone should be required to get married. And their worth shouldn't be dependent on it. While I can be fine being single and by myself, I'd very much prefer to share my life with someone who loves me and has my back and I his. On a social platform, I don't consider marriage important for me to be accorded any form of respect or elevation that I have not earned by my own merit over a single woman. Let me for a moment believe that you're truly oblivious to the subtle discrimination single women face in certain places because of being single. Have you ever heard someone say "don't talk to her like that. She's a married woman?" Well I have. The message it gives is that it is ok to belittle the single one there after all her status hasn't been elevated to that of a Mrs. In Igbo land There's a slang used to mock older single ladies "oto na aka Nne" Loosely means 'the one nobody married'. Meaning A woman's ability to get a to man desire and marry her determines her worth. If she doesn't get married, then there must be something less worthy about her. All it teaches is that her value as a person is validated the moment a man sees her worthy of being "under his roof". Do you still not understand why marriage must not be held as value placement for women? |

TooNoisy: Ok, so do you mean marriage is important to women? And should we teach our daughters that marriage is important? I do not want to misunderstand you this time so answer yes or no. are you sure? Yes marriage is important to women. And it is important to men. Marriage is important for the good of the society. Marriage for the wrong reasons is not. Marriage for the wrong reasons is number one cause of broken homes. |
