Family › Re: 7 Tips/ Reasons To Save Your Marriage And Don't Divorce by cococandy(f): 3:52pm On Jun 05, 2015 |
The one tip I believe that can save a marriage and not lead to divorce. Change.
Change change change.
If you're cheating on your husband or wife pls change. Repent. Ask for forgiveness and make sure you intend to never go back to that sin again. Change.
If you're selfish. Pls change. The world doesn't revolve around you. Give as much as you expect to be given. Respect as much as you want to respected. Love as much as you want to be loved. Change your selfish attitude. Your partner shouldn't always be getting the shorter end of the stick.
You know what you promised when you got married. Remember them and keep to them. If you fail sometimes as humans do, apologize and be ready to make up for it. Don't expect your partner to be fine with your shortcomings all the time. They are human too. If they are, pls be appreciative. They are not living solely to please you. Their happiness also matters.
If someone is always on the receiving end of your selfishness. it will only be a matter of time before they snap. So treat the cause of the disease and not the symptoms. |

dradoyi: We had similar discussion sometimes last month. After living with your wife for a long time.. she would be like a sister to you. As such any man that will say he has never cheated on his wife... can as well sleep wit his sister. As long as u cheat safely..ie protected n you still respect your wife for her not to know. You mean after my husband becomes like a brother to me I can cheat on him and still respect him by not letting him know? These nairalanders |

Alubosa: Cococandy kindly help get the recipe from DH. 'Wouldn't mind making this for wifey this weekend. 'been thinking of what to do with those gizzards in the freezer. 'Was thinking of BBQ tho.
From the pix u posted I can see green peas, carrot, sweet corn and something close to habanero pepper. Aww. So sweet: The rice is pretty easy to make. I've made it before. Boil white rice with salt and add frozen mixed veggies when it's almost cooked. Cover and let simmer until dry. I got home and saw he had already made the food. All the information I could get is that he made it with only fresh tomatoes, little oil, mushrooms, boiled and seasoned gizzards some cabbage, onions and other spices. I don't think he knows how to give a step by step recipe Just use your discretion. |

5minsmadness: Jeeeez!
You called me to this thread.
I haven't even digested it yet, still reading through the link.
Also like I said previously, the title is misleading. The previous punishment for having carnal knowledge of an underage girl was 5yrs imprisonment. Just 5years! This is actually an improvement, an attempt to make the punishment more severe. It should be applauded. The only problem is I don't know why it wasn't extended to include ages 12 to 16. The topic should read:
Senate approves stricter punishment for carnal knowledge of girls below 12.
...and not the eye catching balderdash they wrote up there.
Just because I don't blindly worship the American way of life doesn't mean I don't see the wrongs of Nigeria too. Haba! @bold you do? Now that's surprising. Ok |

That's by the way. Knowing how America is the mother of all evil places if this law had been passed there even with all the good intentions behind it, you would have found a way to stylishly make it look like its about gradually making sex with children who aren't under 11 not so much of a crime. Na today? I know you 5minsmadness: Having ranted the above ^^^^^^my previous post :
It is AMAZING the high level of illiteracy among the average Nigerian youth sha. This article does not make 11yrs the legal age to have sex. Just that any age below 12 is liable to be punishable by life imprisonment. Any age above 12 is still a crime, just not punishable by life imprisonment.
The title is misleading. |
Politics › Re: Senate Makes 11 Years The Legal Age To Have Sex In Nigeria by cococandy(f): 1:36am On Jun 05, 2015 |
And there we go again. 5minsmadness: And I will continue lamenting and there is nothing you can do about it.
Whether we like it or not America has a big role to play in the way our youth live their lives over here. Everyone and their mother is trying to be westernized. It shows in the way they dress, the way they talk, the way they take selfies (very annoying... We've been taking selfies for years before it became a fad) and ultimately the way they think. The truth is most youth support homosexuality simply because "america" supports it. Same with atheism, same with feminism, etc. "America" is more often than not used as a standard. Even when chimamanda writes total and absolute rubbish she is immediately hailed by our youth cos she has been 'recognized' by America. Some bimbo was saying the other day that she is the first Nigerian feminist! The day Americans change their stance in these issues you'll see the massive change of opinion in our youth as well.
So Bleep it and yeah I'll keep ranting on the ills of that misguided and misguiding country whenever I spot them for as long as I am able. I'm not going to shut my mouth and ignore them cos their government Is apparently better than mine. I know they have an influence on us and I intend to make sure in my little way that their influence doesn't drive us into the sea and oblivion faster than we are already going!

He's said he's free at last. He's been in a cage all his life in the wrong body. I won't even attempt to make sense of that part. My psych professor says he doesn't care what people or legislation says, that transgendered people don't belong in the same group as gays and lesbians because it fits all the criteria to be classified as a disorder. If you add the fact that it arises from a known psychiatric condition (gender dysphoria) plus that fact that There's like one only trans for every 300 or more persons in America. it is deviation from the norm. . Babymama1: By the way from the interviews i have seen on CNN,transgender is not about gay or lesbianism It is not about sexuality It is an identity they say Transgendered people can be gay, straight of bi or even asexual kpa kpa That is what they want you to know This thing is not as straightforward as you think We are not only about to redefine marriage ,we are redefining what it means to be a homo sapien |

I'm good thanks. That part about selfishness I agree with. He didn't think of his kids and his 20+ yr old marriage. I don't even want to start discussing their family issues because there's so much of what they put out there that I don't agree with. Superficial mumbo jumbo and some irritating bullpoo. Needless to say, I don't idolize any of them. But the medals they are talking about are his Olympic medals that he won while competing as a man in the male category sports. Hate him or love her,I think he won the medals fair and square and so doesn't deserve to have them revoked because of the sex change. Shollypopzz: Babez, how far?
First of all, I don't understand what the fuss is about. Bruce Jenner is just another transgender. In fact, I think his choice to change is very selfish. If you are going to change, change before you have kids. Change before you deceive women into thinking you are who you are.
Look at his kids. Imagine how this decision affects them; Their father is now their mother??
I bet you that if this was an African American family, Bruce and the entire Katrashian family will not receive the praises they receive in the media today. They would be called ghetto and all sorts of names.
Kim got famaous from a porn tape. She got pregnant for a rapper while legally married to another man. Khloe married a coke addict and . Kylie is a high school drop-out. She is 17 and dating a grown man aged 25; she is a social media slut who posts naked pics like her older sister for fame. Kourtney has two kids out of wedlock. Rob is an overweight bastard who is sexually attracted to his sister- Kim.
Bruce/Caitlyn is NOT a hero, he is not the first transgender and he would not be the last. Nothing he has done is courageous, he is selfish. After three wives and five kids, you realize you do not feel like a man? Fvck him to the power of infinity! He is a damaged man who failed his kids. |

Shollypopz I've an even better question. There's a bill going around demanding that the medals Caitlyn Jenner won as a man be revoked since Bruce Jenner no longer exists. I argued that Bruce did exist and won it as a man. She's now Caitlyn doesn't mean the awards are null and avoid. after all no one revokes the awards given to a person when they die and stop existing. So I figured Bruce should be treated as a dead man who Caitlyn is a reincarnation of. (I don't even know if that makes much sense. It does to me anyway ) But a lot of people were singing the stuff and someone even sent it to me to sign. Lol As if. What's your opinion? |

It should be made uniform. Besides the distinction makes it seem like it is worse to molest an under 11 yr old than it is to do same toa 14yr old. All are the same IMO. See the negative sentiments na. Once marine hears 11, their first reaction is what about the other kids? For me I think life imprisonment for all such offenses is the best. No unnecessary distinctions. Meanwhile kudos to them for trying small but they need to try more. Besides they didn't state it clearly in that post. Don't blame those reacting that way. They need to be clear what they meant . bushdoc9919: READ THE ARTICLE.....
The law about underage molestation HAS NOT CHANGED...IT IS STILL ILLEGAL TO MOLEST AN UNDER 18 YEAR OLD.
What the law says is that if the underaged child is below 11 years old....the punishment becomes tougher!
And it was Sen Anyanwu of Imo who formulated the law....
Reread the article...it is not that hard! |

bukatyne: We don tey for this game and as you can see it is still too complex for some slow pokes to understand how enduring a bad marriage in the name of staying for their kids and hoping their kids will be their source of comfort after decades of patching life in the miserable union can make some women clingy towards their kids and in turn be a stumbling block for those kids to move on in adulthood and have their own independent families devoid of unnecessary interference. Keep simplifying it until the slowest pokes get it Goodluck to you. |

True mizcyn: We women have failed our sons how do we expect men to treat us well, imagine a son angry with the father for not treating the mother right and the mother says it's the wife that makes the home. He then gets married beats and cheats on his wife and when she cries out he says are you better than my mother, she kept her home despite everything, what are you going through that's new, learn to keep your home . who is to blame mother or son. or is it the mil that dil will complain to about her travails in the marriage and the mil will side her son ,and tell her to bear. We women need to work on ourselves, it starts and ends with us. I know a lady who advised her fellow lady to stay and pray for her husband who beat her up and gave her a gaping wound because she confronted his mistress, the matter for hand e plenty for ground |

Zi: Babymama, lemme talk to you.
I read that thread in awe and fear. Because more or less I was putting myself in the ladies shoes as I read along.
Pls permit me to introduce myself properly, the reason is as you will see below. I am a female, aged 26 plus. I was a top shot as an undergraduate student in Nigeria currently doing my Masters in Power Engineering abroad, I have more that average looks (so you won't say its lack of opportunity) and I have never had sex (in any of its forms) all because I believe in the sanctity of marriage.
A long time ago, I made up my mind sex has to wait for marriage, but if paraventure I find out my husband is cheating on me, that is the day he declared that marriage an open marriage. Reading that thread, I am consolidating my plan. All I will do is lay in wait and get concrete evidences with dates attached to the clips so he can't deny he didn't open that door. We will both be passing through it freely.
Yes, I'm not holding back virginity to impress him or anybody for that matter, I simply want to obey God. But if he, (my husband), has to respect that decision. If he decides to cheat, hehehe, I will show him that what is good for the geese is also good for the gander. Period!
See, I'm not ready to leave my marriage for anyone, kpatakpata he will be the one to run not me. I'm not ready for any drama or tears or sucidev episodes etc. We will simply drift drift into open marriage and I will really make up for all my long wait.
I have started preparing myself for whatever dieases we both have to share and die in. You can't cheat on me and still put me in emotional trauma, mbanu!
All in all, I pray God to give me a man that values marriage and is ready to keep his vows till death do us path. He will be the happiest man on earth because I'm gonna live for him.
Sorry if my post offends you, just venting. Hei. Hehehehheheeh |

Tenk you Floodgater: It couldnt have been captured better than this. In that "politician ashawo cheating thread and similar threads" they remained in their holes but if the OP opens a thread and say divorce cheating husbands, they will creep out of their holes to say she is the worse adviser, including the ugly one that always end with "radio" looking for young girls he thinks he can flex muscle with because he is flexing muscle with the over 20years younger naive girl he married. Now Op says stay and cheat back, they are asking what happened to divorced. Surely women are stepping up only that women are also the ones slowing the pace. I wont be surprised if the statement "cheating is in the DNA of a man" was first said by a Nigerian woman. |

I find it amusing when one of these hypocrites quote me to tell me what the bible says about something. This place houses the worst set of shameless and conscienceless humans in the history of Christianity. At least if you're a sinner like me, desist from using the bible to make your stand when talking to someone else. Stillfire: Lol! May God deliver us from all these two-faced Idibias. God would rather you are hot or cold, not two faced. Even the bible allows for divorce from a cheating partner. I advice every christian woman to read her bible for the love of God. If they bring one, you bring two verses that shatters their argument. Only a weak female would still be threatened by all these scare tactics in the 21st century. |
