Can you imagine a Muslim man quoting submission up and down from the Biblehuh
his own is even good. He could just say he's trying to remind a Christian sister what she believes in.

What about our fellow Christian hypocrites?
Someone that just got off of a lady that's not his wife or someone that just told one humongous lie won't even blink at quoting the bible for you.
Conveniently forgetting what the bible says about fornication and how the devil is the father of all liars.

I get.. his insight was ok
i still dont know what the point of the thread was anyway

telling us that males contribute to infertility is not world changing
Maaybe the magnitude of male contribution at which point research methodology and sampling techniques come in.
the point of the thread is/are
1) ladies need to lady up and demand fertility tests from their prospective husbands just as they demand from them.

2) TTC couples need to understand that the man is as much a culprit as the wife so the pressure needs to be reduced on the wife.

3)general education of the public. Just that many of them may not read it or be on NL. But this information needs to be out there like polio vaccination. The ignorance is high.
We always hear about barren women but hung like that for the impotent men. Even when the wife is fertile and the man is sterile, she's termed a barren woman. The local person out there needs to know that anyone could be responsible for childlessness in a marriage

Should I continue?

The habits that some men engage in which could prevent them from having kids or having healthy kids are so many that even without a survey one can rightfully gauge the proportion of men in a given area who are at risk.

Some don't even know that they need to give up drinking alcohol before trying to conceive to avoid producing weak sperm cells that may not fertilize the egg or if it does could put the child at some risk.
Drinking and smoking and partying around every weekend and sometimes during the week is kind of like a habit for many guys.
Sleeping around is not condemned amongst them.

Yet they will be the first to start looking at the woman's face when they get married and can't have kids even though some of them (the guys) spent their youth engaging in activities that's harmful to their reproductive health.

http://www.theguardian.com/science/2014/oct/03/bmj-open-sperm-quality-alcohol-five-units-study-semen

Drinking just five units of alcohol every week could reduce the quality of a man’s sperm, new research suggests. And the more alcohol consumed, the weaker the quality of the sperm, the study found. Men of a reproductive age should be advised to steer clear of habitual drinking, the authors said
Jahblessme:
Sooo funny that all this mathematics and scrutiny of publishing and sample size number wasn't more debated when the thread was about Nigerian women being the greatest cheaters in the world or the one about 40% of dads not being the fathers of first borns. wink

Many don't know that placing a laptop on their laps exposes the balls to excess heat and can reduce sperm count over time.

Excess alcohol, cigarettes all can be culprits.
Even a guy with undescended testicle will join and blame wife.
Plenty refuse to go and get checked and the lady ends up running helter skelter till she falls into the hands of a sharp shooter pastor or those PH baby farmers.

TTC is very dicey and can even push a person to insanity if care is not taken.. Endless tests, depression, se x when u no get energy, ovulation spotting,ivf..its a very difficult cycle.

Oya birth only girls naaa, woman carry blame immediately.Upon all the education of who donates y chromosome, the woman is still blamed.

We have a long way to go shaa but we are getting there.
It starts with the ladies being able to speak up.We have a problem,WE are going for tests. Not woman we have a problem, you will go.for tests,15 girls did abortion for me in uni,it can't be my fault. grin

In other news,Linda ikeji blog carrying gist about one OSI Umenyiora who just married ex miss world 2011 a few days ago.Apparently had a gf who's been with him for ages exposed the texts he sent her last week. The man was saying they should continue but have to be more careful,he loves her,she has power over him and new wife..plenty plenty things..

Thank God women are no longer hiding these men.Leila's God is alive, make she do fast go for tests. Wonder what footing the marriage will continue on.Lagoon tinz.

Of course the blogger is blaming the 'mistress' conveniently forgetting who is engaged, who is making the vows and that the chick knew him from teetee.

The marriage will never ever be the same..sorry Leila

This shiit is beginning to sound dumb. A man's world when some women are the bread winner of the family? A man's world when some women beat up their husbands like a child? A man's world when some men don't know how to run a home and quit alcoholism? My friend, no one owns the world.

I do educate my friends who have the stereotypes that the women determine the sex of a child, the ability to be pregnant and all that silly craps. We need to reduce the burden, both emotional and physical burden we put on these women and face reality.

Don't go out smoking and making alcohol your best buddy and ignore the effect in future. Your village people who always blame the woman for everything should be flogged and show them 2015 calendar because they still look at 1900 calendar.

No wonder your marriage was "before"

You claim you will and have never cheated.
Yet you believe. And I've always said that 99% of men will cheat in marriage.

You're the holy 1% abi? this early Sunday morning una just dey yarn rubbish anyhow. angry
Toks2008:
Free cocoa get this straight. I have been married before and i know exactly what the institution feels like.

Please advice any lady or guy you know to find out very well about the past marriage of a divorcee who wants to start an affair with them because once a divorcee most times is always a divorce especially if a man divorcees his wife for any other reason asides sexual infidelity or if the lady divorcees the man asides UNREPENTANT ARBITRARY WIFE BATTERING and not because of irreconcilable differences or sexual infidelity.

Only immature ladies divorce their hubby because of sexual infidelity except they will never get married a gain or even be with any other man because 98% of men will cheat on their wives.

As for the career part please note that some women have left their marriage because of this. My ex practically told me to give her a break because she wants to pursue a career and i told her point blank that except she is planning to climb the career ladder by been slutty,i see no reason why any sane lady should leave her marriage to build a career no matter what especially when the man is not topping her from doing so.

When it comes to age, we all say age is nothing but a number but please lets be realistic, its not so easy to be in a relationship or marriage with a woman older than you because a man should be the head in the real sense and any form of alteration may only be coped with but will not naturalkly get balanced but nevertheless i dont see the age thing as a factor but the first two explained above holds water.

Ghanaians have even capitalised on their infertility, even Guinness is not left out... Check out their latest entrant Orijin... They will never check themselves...

My friend was married to a guy who had fertility issues, he never told her, her in-laws were breathing down her neck every now and then, well they eventually sent her packing and she remarried immediately and took in o.. Her former hubby is still there battling his problems o...

95% of infertility problem always lies with the men.

Health › Re: 10 Reasons For Male Infertility In Nigeria by cococandy(f): 4:02am On May 31, 2015
Smokers.

Men who are highly addicted to tobacco or nicotine are prone to producing defective sperm cells which could lead to lack of conception in their female mates or high rate of miscarriage When the females take in.
http://www.buffalo.edu/news/releases/2003/01/6042.html
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Fertility researchers at the University at Buffalo have shown that nicotine and cotinine, a substance produced by nicotine's breakdown, cause sperm to change in ways that could reduce fertility potential. -
Some excerpt from few studies.
http://www.m.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/news/20100910/smokers-sperm-less-fertile
Previous studies show that men who smoke are less fertile than men who don't smoke. Now a research team led by Mohamad Eid Hammadeh, PhD, professor of obstetrics and gynecology a the University of the Saarland, Homburg/Saar, Germany, have learned why.

Human sperm cells carry two tiny, highly charged proteins called protamine 1 and protamine 2. Nature keeps them in a perfectly balanced one-to-one relationship. But in smokers, Hammadeh and colleagues find, sperm cells carry too little protamine 2. This imbalance makes them highly vulnerable to DNA damage.

"The DNA alphabet of these sperm has one or two letters missing. And this cannot be repaired," Hammadeh tells WebMD. "When we inject these damaged sperm into an egg cell, the sperm is not capable of fertilizing the cell. And even if it does, the [miscarriage] rate is very high."
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3719292/
had a fertility rate of 80% while the recovery group for 1.0 mg/kg B.W. had a fertility rate of 60% (Table 3). Female rats cohabited with male rats from the high-dose group did not conceive throughout the study period. However, these effects were reversible after nicotine was withdrawn from the rats.
There are many other studies out there which prove it. So gentlemen if you and your wife are trying to conceive or if you hope to marry and have a child someday, you might want to consider withdrawing from smoking and your body time (it could take a few years depending on how addicted to smoking you are) to heal and stop producing damaged sperm cells which can't fertilize an egg or can't survive the womb even after fertilization.
