When I was going to the UK, I called my siblings and I showed them all the documents of the house which I handed over to my Nigerian wife who I was living with, with two children at the time. In the presence of my siblings, after handing it over to her, she knelt in front of my brother and asked him to keep the house documents for us since he was a father figure in the family at the time. My wife gave it to my older brother and my other siblings also said that it was the best thing to do. I left for the UK after that time. I didn’t spend up to six months before my wife was kicked out of my Nigerian house, and it was sold. My wife ran to our village where my eldest son died after she was unable to pay N150 for his treatment as I was later told by my wife. She had to run to her village to take care of my second son who was barely four months old when I left Nigeria.

This woman ruined her own life and her kids by being a goody two shoes. SMH

Only the drivers cross the checkpoints while inside the vehicls. Few days ago, Police allegedly murdered a man and cut his manhood because he was suspected to be an IPOB commander.

Concerning Boko Haram, the government does not attack or arrest members of the communities where Boko Haram attack and even kill soldiers. Even as those individuals pay taxes to the Boko boys. No military checkpoints to inconvenience commuters. Suspected or confirmed Boko Haram members are kept for a while, termed "repentant" and recruited into the military. Many are even given scholarship and lodged in expensive hotels throughout the schooling period. Many are paid monthly allowance that is higher than minimum wage.

Anyone suspected to be an associate of IPOB has his or her identity published. Suspected sponsors of EndSARS had their accounts freezed. But the government says sponsors of Boko Haram won't be named or shamed. Boko Haram even had a spokesman who enters the forest to speak with them. I even heard one Shetima is one of the founders or sponsors of Boko Haram. Could it be this Shetima or another one? I honestly don't know which Shetima...

Again he’s not her father to “allow” her to do anything. She’s a grown woman and can do what she likes. Ideally with his blessing. But without his blessing and If it comes with consequences such as a fallout with her husband, then I hope she’s ready and mature enough to accept whatever the outcome is.

As for going with his brother, I think that suggestion was her offering him peace of mind (so to say) in case he’s having some mistrust. The mistrust is a topic for another day. Something they’d have to address on its own. The elephant in the room.

This open marriage thing always sounds good to the men who suggest it at first. Probably because they’ve grown to believe the lie that women are undesirable after marriage and child birth. For their mind they’d really be roaming about town with various different women and their wives would be pining away at home because no one wants her.

Reddit is full of stories of regretful husbands whose wives are living it up in their open marriages meanwhile the men can’t even get a date. Any girl who even wants to look at them must insist they pay up. But the women are getting free dates and are even being spoiled financially on top of it all. It’s almost as if them married dudes are the ones who are actually undesirable unless they have money to buy a little affection.

Little do they know how many men would actually jump in and take their place when they slip.

Keep suggesting open marriages when you know you can’t take what you dished.

I read the first story and the wife wanted to go with this man’s brother. If my brother will still be hard headed even though his wife wants to go with one of us who are his siblings, I would consider him unreasonable. Anything she decides to do after that it’s his fault.

Best and ideal case scenario is that you express your feelings about whatever misgivings you have considering the decision your wife or husband is about to make and most likely they’ll consider it and halt their actions.

The feeling of possibly offending you or creating unnecessary tension in the relationship is often a good deterrent (At least to a loving and respectful husband/wife). I honestly think most people wouldn’t do something if their spouse is expressing that they are not on board.

But to command? As in the very grammatical expression of „I own you and I get to decide for you“?
