They won’t do this with an American passenger or white person

I wouldn't block anybody.
I wouldn't block my mum for not liking my spouse rather, I will be a mediator no matter how long it takes. It gives immense joy when your patience and perseverance pays off.

I am not good with malice. Drains all my energy.
When we are talking about parents, that’s a different story sha.

Edit:

However I’m still siding with my person. Everyone had a chance during the engagement and the wedding to “speak now or forever hold their peace”.

Entertaining them or staying neutral when they project unwarranted hatred towards your spouse leaves the spouse feeling unprotected. I may not block them if they are that close as in my parents. But we are not kikiing until the issue is resolved.

The spouse will feel especially betrayed if people hate them for no reason and the person who swore to love them is too avoidant of confrontation to stand up for them. That’s how I see it.

But if my person did something to deserve the hurt or the hate, then it’s different.

Family members are outsiders too.

Even if one member of the family don't like her for reason best know to the person and as a result, don't talk to her will you stop talking to the person?
That family member has one opportunity ONCE to explain why they don’t like her. If their reason is not sufficient, they enter the blocked list. Effective immediately.

There are people who are experts in driving wedges between relationships and married people by being obnoxiously critical of other people’s choices in life partners. Even when they can’t say exactly what that person did wrong. Just be going off vibes and nothing.

By the time you examine their own lives, you find out that they didn’t even make a better choice than the person they are so critical of. But they want your partner walking on eggshells around them. We shouldn’t have time to entertain them. Blocked

I see your point But the baby mama didn’t hurt tuface sha.
He’s entirely the person at fault so what ground should Annie take sides with him? Like those women that shield their cheating and abusive husbands to only go after the side piece. You already know my feelings and opinions about those kinds of people 🫢
I mean if someone hurts your partner , will you see the person as your enemy ?
My answer here is based specifically on the question of if someone hurts my person will I have problems with that person? Absolutely yes.

descarado:
That's a very dangerous precedence.

Elders always advocate never to take side. They have their reasons.
As we age, we see why they always say that.
Annie idibia is not in speaking terms with tuface child mamas. Should tuface do the same?
You know the answer and to Annie and those in her shoe, that's the right thing to do. Tuface should support her.

Also, in some families, a wife is never wholly accepted. Someone somewhere in that family don't really like her, the husband should take the side of the wife in your opinion?

As for what happens outside, spouse maybe lying. It's his business and has nothing to do with me.
I won't put my head to defend what I don't understand before it will cost me my life and oga will continue with his life as soon as I had passed away.
Marriage is not sustained by rioting emotions rather wisdom.
As a matter of fact, this was one of the wise sayings laid down to me during my trado on both sides to never involve myself in what does not concern me.
I will rather be a mediator.

This.

People read the crap they see online and don’t do their own research. “The west favor women yen yen.”

Depending on how young the youngest kids were, he might have been able to get custody and child support if he proves her business doesn’t give her time to be with the kids and proof that he has been their primary care giver.

He probably didn’t have ANYTHING to back such claims up but if he did, he could have been entitled to something
grandstar:
A lot of times, depression is suppressed anger.

He need not have killed her. I am sure the courts would have awarded him some financial compensation in the form of alimony. In the US, both the man and woman are entitled to alimony, in this case, the man.

Normally, the law if I'm correct states that half the wealth generated after the wedding is split equally with the financially poorer partner.

Since the man is poor and all the wealth the wife has was accumulated during the marriage, he might be awarded the house

They will also share custody of the kids or he will visitation rights.

Yes, some women are stupid and so some men. The question I want to ask was whether the man was faithful to the wife in Naija. In Nigeria, a man would love his wife and family and still have a mistress on the side. Many spousea put up with it despite the fact it hits them hard.

When such a family travels overseas, the docile wife now finds her voice and begins "misbehaving." She becomes a barking dog grin grin grin

You have it backwards. Men are the one who always blame women for everything. You must not live in reality. They will literally blame children before they take responsibility for their own actions.

And if he provided a soft life for them, why is she braiding hair for income? Do you even know the meaning of soft life?

It seems as if some of you are entitled to your own set of facts. That’s how y’all conveniently refuse to acknowledge anything women do for the family.
He’s laboring and providing a soft life, bla bla bla yet she’s the breadwinner . In what reality is this your opinion from?

softy:
[/b]

Killing the woman was not the solution to the problem. He just affected his life negatively, in the presence of God and according to the law of men.

I have always say it, times without number, we live in a crazy world. Women will always blame men for everything. Even when u have tried/are trying to look at the better part for doing something meaningful to their lives. They have this victim mentality at all times. EVE BLAMED THE SATAN, OVERIDED THE THINKING OF ADAM, TO BLAME GOD. Most women will never back down from doing wrongs things. Still blame shit out of u. Pathetic, isn't it?

This man worked in Nigeria, settled up his family in America, just putting his family first in everything, arranged a soft life for them, because he believed he was doing something great for his family. She turned his children against him. Do we evn know if those children are his?

Then, after a while, the woman turned the few failures he had, from the stories he was even trying, doing all sorts of menial jobs to stay afloat, but the wife saw it as not enough.

Most women are not grateful.
I have known this since when I was 13.

More sad news like this will never stop in USA, UK/EUROPE.....
,and generally abroad.

Men please, sometimes balance the equation. As you are labouring everyday to give the best to your family, kindly have recourse to benefit your personal life too. This could help position our future better.

She’s 12. Not old enough for you guys to leave your parenting duties to
NaijaRealtor:
1. Right from when she was about three years old, she would always pray for me to make it so she can come stay with me.

2. Been married for like 7 years and we have 3 kids. My wife was on my neck to bring my niece to come stay with us so she can assist with helping to look after the kids once they all return from school.

3. Because I know how many ladies treat children that aren't theirs, I refused to bring my niece over. So after much pressure from my wife, I approached my sister and her husband and pleaded to allow me train her as she'd always prayed.

4. Weeks after her arrival, my wife started complaining about her attitude and stuff. I refused to yield to my wife's suggestions that I take my niece back. It almost caused quarrel between us.

I felt it was too early to judge her. She's just 12 years old.

Her Attitudes:

A. She would fold and keep pants stained with my 1 year old poop in the laundry basket until it starts bringing out maggots, then we would search the whole house for the source of the foul smell until we find it and throw away affected clothes, disinfect the house and all.

B. She, yesterday wiped my 6 years old son with iron buckle on the belt and his head nearly burst open. He complained of severe headache and we are still treating him.

C. Final straw was, while we were in the office today, my 6 years old started to throw up. He was sick. This girl just laid on the couch and instructed a 6 years old to go fetch the broom, mopping stick and packer to clean the mess.

My son was very weak, but he went to fetch these items and cleaning the vomit. Because he was very sick, he kept on throwing up and cleaning at the same time. All these while, this girl laid there relaxing until my wife came home and washed my son up and cleaned the floor.

When I came back this evening and learnt about the stuff, I quietly asked her why she'd behaved like that and she said it was nothing.

I really don't know whether to let her stay while I try to coach her or take her back to her parents.

I seriously need advice.

Sorry for the long epistle.

Well I don’t do it so I don’t know. I’m just letting y’all know what these people are out here charging for hair. They may not be declaring all their income for tax purposes. If he wanted he could have done it too. Or he could have done something else instead of being a hater to his wife.

My point here is not really to argue the real income of hair stylists. It was to point out that there were opportunities for him but he chose to be a hater.

I’ve attached screenshots for your viewing pleasure. If you’ve noticed, these are all different stylists so it’s not as if I pulled up info on one overpriced person. These are real costs of beauty services in current times. My braid lady is actually very affordable at $200+

Apart from contributing his "small change" he forgot to tell what other things he was doing in the home in terms of helping out with the kids at least. undecided
NaBanga:
This story is completely one sided. His wife was likely making around $20K USD a month. Of course he could not keep up with her lifestyle. I'm sure there were many fights, before the woman moved out and left him in the old house. He could have paid the rent on the house she left him in. He could have walked away or gone back to Nigeria to be a big man. African pride would not allow this. Now the children have lost both of their parents.
The internet dudes keep screaming in our ears how they don’t want leeches and liabilities. Then the women start succeeding and they don’t want that either. They want a little bit of success but not too much.

So you see young ladies bending over backwards trying not to be dependent or successful. Just in-between. So they don’t annoy him by asking for financial support but also available to tend to him. What’s a woman gaining from that kind of arrangement?
