My point is that one can make money from doing hair. He didn’t have to be bitter about her success. He could have joined her.

I’m sorry the point went right over your head

Sure better than surgeries. You can remove and wear anytime.

Looking at Mercy Eke, Nengi and Toke's butts in recent times made me agree with you 💯.

I wonder what those butts will look like 10 years from now.🤔
If they only had fat transfer and not silicon, it will age naturally. The fat will just be metabolized like the fat in other area did their bodies. But the silicon ones (thankfully ppl are not doing those anymore) won’t be metabolized that way.

The problem is when the women provide, the men usually don’t step in to fill in the gap that’s left open from the women being away hustling to provide.

They call it emasculation. Taking care of their own family

oz4real83:
That "African mentality" that says that a man must be the breadwinner of the home has destroyed so many lives and marriages. No woman sees anything wrong when a man provides everything for eternity, but the whole world turns upside down if a woman provides, even for a short time shocked. This is what is turning the modern Nigerian ladies to parasites and liabilities , this mentality needs to change. Asian women who earn more that Nigerian women abroad still respect their husbands and manage their homes when they earn more than their husbands, unlike Nigerian women who suddenly turn to demigoddesses immediately they start earning above their husbands embarassed

Now someone is talking! undecided
Thank you.

You know, one time I paid $450 for a guy to give me a professional hair cut and coloring with a few wefts clipped in. Extra for the coloring and You still tip them. Young boy of around 23 years old.
But of course he’s not Nigerian so it’s not beneath him to do hair.

My braider doesn’t charge less than $200 for any braiding hairstyle. Women come here see these opportunities and take them. some African men come and think it’s beneath them.

Then that woman is in the store all day trying to make money and he’s upset she comes back late probably because no one made dinner while she was hustling. If he hustled too, their income might be higher and they could both be home on time to take care of their kids.

Their story shows no signs of collaboration. No evidence of leadership on his part. He didn’t come up with a game plan to see how he can reduce the burden of breadwinning and home keeping (which I’m sure fell entirely on her) and that way they can have time to enjoy each other as a married couple. After-all what’s the point in marriage if you’re not enjoying your partner? He didn’t think of that.

Family › Re: Why I Killed My Wife: The Sad Story Behind The Hassan Adeyemo’s Florida Tragedy by cococandy(f): 3:17pm On Sep 05, 2023
So he refused to better himself? Killed the family breadwinner and lived to tarnish her image with this lopsided story?

Braiding hair is not a woman-only skill (just an example btw). There are so so many skills he could have learned that bring in a lot of money. He stuck with the unimaginative approach and resented her for doing well.

She’s dead so this account of what happened is strictly his. Color me unconvinced

It will definitely bounce back, with more of this happening, the natural law of defense will play. Men will start taking extra caution in dealing with women. Check the US for example, rate of Marriage has declined seriously over the years, lots of single women and mothers
Women are choosing not to get married . You have it backwards

It's a western world plan, not just the UK.

There are 4 major western countries championing this, they are the US, UK, Canada and Germany.

Others are Netherlands, Denmark, France, Belgium and some other names.

There are many guys like you on NL with amazing wives in the west who do everything to support the family, love you, respect themselves and respect you. Why aren’t y’all more vocal about it?

The ones we don’t stop hearing about are the evil western wives who have grown wings and refuse to wear the proverbial red pant and black bra. 😏

Firefunmi2014:
I can relate with your situation because I have been there. I left Nigeria last year to join my wife who left in 2021 on Skilled worker visa to. UK. I was 46yrs when I joined her. I have a relatively good job in Nigeria with an official car and HOD in one of the PFAs in Nigeria. I don't have plans to join them before, I was thinking I will be sending money to them but for almost 6mth I couldn't convert my Naita to Pound.

Fast forward last year Nov, I took the decision to join them, it's been over 7mths now, has is it been easy ? No, but it is a journey. I started working in January, the role is related to finance which is my field, though a junior role for me experience and qualifications but is paying bills.

My wife has been an amasing woman, she earns more than me but her money is our money and vice versa. In a foreign land, be ready to share bills with your wife and also the house chore with her. I usually go to store to do the chopping and atimes cook for the children.

My advice for you is that you should prayerfully join your wife provided she is an amazing woman, trust me you will not regret it.

I wish you best of luck

Men do not benefit from marriage and a man can marry at 90yrs. So, I see no issues here. The man would remarry another 20yrs old chartered accountant in 2 weeks. Just watch.

Family › Re: 7 Reasons Why Nigerian Marriages Are Crashing In The UK by cococandy(f): 6:15am On Sep 01, 2023
Marriage as an institution in Nigeria is modeled around patriarchy - a system of male dominance. In this case, the man is the king while the woman is the queen. As you know, the king dominates the queen, and nothing he does is wrong in most cases (especially for the wealthy men). The woman could be forced to endure physical, verbal, psychological, financial abuse, and lots more. She stands to get mocked if her marriage crashes. This creates age-long bitterness and a cold war in the union. Women have a long memory and they hardly forgive. The moment the marriage transits to a society that gives women an upper hand against men, they come for their pound of flesh like Shylock. This destroys the foundation and subsequently brings it to an end
Am I dreaming or do people on this forum not argue that women in Nigeria are not marginalized/oppressed?
Lol

It’s unfortunate that those bad 16 years are now being looked upon as good old times because of how exponentially horrible APC has been.

And make no mistake, the PDP criminals are also the APC hooligans. Changing party doesn’t automatically make you a better person. You just jumped ship onto what you presumed would be the more profitable ride.
