lol, Dont also forget that death is part of the curse, lol so paul who wrote that verse died, same with peter, does that mean they were not redeemed from the curse?
Get understanding and wisdom above all things.
Explain how to acquire this wisdom you speak of

It's always funny when modern Christians try to justify this doctrine.

They can't come up with anything sensible and eventually run away from it.
grin we are not alone okay? Other religions have their modern issues with their scripture that they can’t explain away. So they’ll dance around the explanations and then tell you that you have to be in spirit to understand

It’s funny how anyone can interpret the heck out of the Bible. However it pleases them
nenyewrites:
We are all trying to find answers right? Though I’ve heard of Christian women who deliver without the slightest pain. They prayed to be so. It’s all about faith. Which is why I’m asking the question, since we are free from the curse through faith, why are some men, especially men of God who should know better from constant studying of the Bible still hammering on women’s submission.

Let me gently repeat myself just one more time.

I said what I want for myself. That is, any woman I marry must understand that my mother is first before her own mother.

Pls go over and say what you want and I promise, u won't see my comment.

Nashoji:
How old are you? Are you married? Do you have children? Have you ever been woken up in the middle of the night by cry of a baby for you to just carry the child and stand all through the night and when you try to sleep the child back on the bed he/she starts crying again? Have you ever go hungry just to make sure your children eat? Have ever had the pains of child bearing? Have you ever stayed awake all through the night just to look after your sick child? Nne, I'm sorry but you are mad. I pray whatever you wish your mother inlaw comes back to you in many folds when you become mother inlaw tomorrow. Abi you think say you go dey young forever or you no go get your own daughter in-laws ?
It’s not easy to be a mother, Right? Now imagine doing all that and then someone says your child should put you in second place after their own mom. Makes sense?

proclinician:
I dont see myself marrying a woman that will not take my mother as her first mother while her biological mother comes second.
Or do you emotional boys think only your own moms suffered through motherhood? Other people’s mom don’t count?

@bold, you’re crying because? grin

Imagine being this emotional about your own mother but don’t understand why it sounds crappy to think that someone else should put their mom second after yours?

You rushed like a crazed person to quote me and rant without reading the comment I was responding to. Smh

People that are blaming the bride, remember that it’s her busy day. She may not even see the maids until they are walking down the aisle.

Not to mention thinking that because her friends dress a certain way, then she must be too. That’s unfounded.

Every adult is responsible for their own behavior
Celebrities › Re: Women Not Created For Men – Seun Kuti by cococandy(f): 12:16pm On May 04, 2021
But religion is also a tool of misogyny.
Not to mention that religion is actually part of culture

So while you’re not wrong to blame it on culture, don’t separate the two.
BRATISLAVA:
What would you say about India and South Africa which have strong rape culture? It's not the religion but cultural/societal beliefs that empower men.

If you ask them, they aren't doing it due to what they heard in the temple or church, but they will tell you they are "African/Indian/Zulu/Gypsy" men and that they have a right to, that it's their culture. We are men, it's in our blood, etc. It's hardly ever about religion except one.

There are many misogynist cultures out there. Religion has tried to unite people, but most secretly hold on to the culture as their identity. Culture is the problem. Culture is created and enforced by people who want to stay in power, usually the perps

BRATISLAVA:
This has not stopped rape apologists. Religion has nothing to do with it.

The problem lies in African society, not religion. Rape culture is a direct reflection of the society and what it permits, under the umbrella of policing women and exonerating men when they commit crimes.

"we are African men we have our tradition" is a more powerful voice than reason or religion for Nigerian men.
And that is the driving force of evil among them.
I disagree. Even in America where everyone is not religious, it’s the Christians here who are more likely to excuse rapists by placing the blame on the victims conduct.

By the way, the things that many ignorant Africans call “their African culture” is merely western culture that we adopted during colonization. All that misogynist crap, hyper religious bullshit et al, all came from the west.

However, the west is trying to grow past all that nonsense but we are still holding on with both hands because we have been left with no identity except that of slaves. Now we champion their culture more than they do. And then turn around to accuse anyone who speaks against it as “too westernized”. While in truth, it’s the other way around.

Don’t separate your kids. Let them live together. At least they’ll get have each other while mourning the loss of married parents.

They can alternate holidays and school seasons with one parent or the other

foreman:
Thanks. I would say my case is not so troublesome. We kind of have mutual understanding on who takes care of what.

I am just trying to decide whether to take some of the children or not because I know I don't have time to take care of them. Yet I need to know the implication of a woman raising kids alone.

Couldn’t have said it better
4Play:
There is no moral equivalence between attempting to expose a child molester's actions and child molestation.

Nigeria is a country where people instinctively take the side of the accused man whenever a sexual offence is alleged.

Before the video came out, the many defenders of Baba Ijesha insisted on evidence, particularly video evidence, before they could change their stance. When evidence emerged, they began arguing that the way in which the evidence was obtained was the real immoral conduct. Many Nigerians will plumb new depths in their quest to minimize sexual misconduct.

You have to ask what sort of evidence would satisfy these people. Do they expect that sexual offence usually occurs in full public view where evidence would be easily gathered? It's obvious that their real gripe is the suggestion that a man's sexual urges ought to be constrained by the preferences of a fully consenting adult.

And if they had talked what do you think would have happened?

Are you new to nairaland?

I don't know what you think would have come out of it but here is what would definitely have happened:

1) They would have been called olosho or runsgirls
2) They would have been called clout chasers
3) They would have asked them for evidence which would usually be a video - who prepared a camera down when going for an interview on the fly that they maybe be raped?
4) They would have called them bitter feminist who want to bring down a young man.

So ehn bros! Their your comment no too make sense.

They were afraid that no one would believe them. that people will say they deserved it for not being hyper suspicious and taking all kinds of precautions (even if they did try to be careful and it didn’t work).

They were afraid of people calling them prostitutes.

They were right to be afraid. Your society is cruel to female victims of sexual assault by men.

justmondris:
To all those that had bad encounter with this same guy all in the name of job and you were scared to speak up all in the name of fear of the unknown or other stupid reasons, just know that you have your hand in the death of this innocent girl. If you had spoken out after your encounter with him, he would have been arrested ever since and this girl and other innocent people who have been his victims after your last encounter with him, would not have been his victims.

If you cannot correct the wrong, learn to always speak out until those who can correct it, listen to you and correct it.
