When severe covid strikes with multiple organ failure like kidney failure, respiratory failure we will see where you will turn to. How many dialysis machine do we have in Nigeria? How many can afford the dialysis machine? About 30 to 60 k per session.

Even the ventilators (where only 20%of those put on it are able to come off it, meaning the other 80% will be allowed to die after sometime, i.e. they do not survive) will not help you, and are not even easily accessible and will be accessed only by your rich who have influence.

Please, be careful about your choice of words, and learn to show some respect to covid o. No need to downplay it and limit it's power to only people with underlying issues becasue Covid has been shown to bite a lot of people in their asses.

I told my friend at work the other day that I wanted to go the Asian store to buy yam. We both usually shop there. And she let me know that two people who work there tested positive for the virus recently and they didn’t know (possibly spreading it too) until they got sick.

So I’m gonna sit at home swallow my craving. No yam shopping for me for now.

Over half a million cases and close to 19 thousand deaths. I think people are taking it more and more seriously now. I don’t have any friend or family affected as of yet and I pray it remains that way.

Let's ask ourselves a question. If it were, say, USA, that had 305 cases total while 799 people died in Lagos in a single day, will they shut down their economy? The answer of course is NO! Why? Because they have the health facility to face a spike in cases. THEREFORE, Nigeria should direct almost ALL our resources towards upgrading our healthcare facility. We have now all seen what having inadequate health facility is costing us - penny wise , pound foolish.
We should partially open up the country under stringent requirements, direct all our resources towards upgrading healthcare, treat those who succumb, bury those who die, monitor things closely and if we see a spike, go back to lockdown.

Yes you pay for water too. Depending on the state, you pay car taxes too. It called personal property tax. And that’s different from the sales tax that you pay at the moment of purchase.

No you can’t really dig your own borehole. At least to the best of my knowledge. I don’t know if people who live deep in the country where they have farms and ranches can provide their own water supply. I doubt it though. But if you want to live in the city or the surburbs, you have to depend on central water supply.

The numbers might even be higher if they did more extensive testing.

Those taxes keep your community and neighborhood livable. They pay for the schools in the district. The roads aren’t left for 10 years before they are repaired.

Maybe a court order to pay a fine but Damm!!! What if the person is declared bankruptcy, what if he goes broke based on bad investment or what if he looses his job.

Well maybe I'm thinking too negative but shiiit happens in life, i bought a mansion, i grow old and died, maybe my kids are still in school, so the government will just take away my mansion or i should write in my will that the tax for the property must continue to be paid.
