Everyone should be presumed innocent and that includes the accuser. Saying the accuser is lying without knowing that for a fact is you not honoring the innocence of the accuser.
How to honor everyone’s innocence until the case is proven? Give each party benefit of the doubt. Very simple.

Do you have a specific instance where I declared the accused guilty? Absolutely not. But you’re allergic to facts so I won’t even bother.

What you have are instances where I shut down those shaming the accuser. Two different things but to folks like you, it’s the same because you lack the education to know it’s different. Or even when you know the difference, your personal bias for whatever reason cloud objectivity.

I could also ask you to come out and tell us why you are biased towards alleged rapists but we already know why.
Now why you want to know my personal reason? Also for the same why you’re a victim shamer, mocker and all round rapist apologist. Need I go on?

Proudlyngwa:

Everybody should be presumed innocent unil prooved guilty beyond doubt without overwhelming evidence.
It is better for an accussed to go free than for an innocent man to be wrongly dealt with.

Fatoyinbo might or might not be guilty, but a lot of people especially social media and you particular has treated this issue wrongly, come out and tell us why you are this particular about this case.

Focus on this specific issue
Adakintroy2:
The only angle I have problem with all this abuse/ assault issue currently.is how women have manage to personalize it and make it about themselves. Almost like a "we" women vs "them" men.

Anyone can be a rapist and anyone can assualt. Most rich women do worst to their jobless husband's, sales girls or house helps. It's not gender specific.

Exactly
spongeisback:
You see the way that Useless Brute of a Senator reacted? With sucker slaps? You heard what he reacted to? The simple statement - Take It Easy Now. If there were no CCTV cameras in that store, some of you will tell us how the story doesn't add up. There is more to that story. Let her say the truth, what did she say to him? Nobody can react so violently to such a simple statement? She must have insulted him? I'm sure she was trying to seduce him and he said No, that's why she is making up this story. What is a decent girl doing working in a sex shop, Awon ashawo kobokobo girls. She is a prostitute jare. Do you know how these girls keep chasing after these senators? They will do anything to sleep with them. There are loopholes in her story. If you believe that girls story you must be stupid. How can someone beat you up mercilessly because you asked him to take it easy? And you expect us to believe that nonsense? Get out of hia!!! That girl should stop lying jor. Fear women, they can bring a man down for nothing. Women are liars. . Can you see yourselves.... !!! Can you just see yourselves....!!! The story doesn't add up to you doesn't mean that the story is not true. When you think you are being smart, you are actually being fooled by criminals who understand how to execute crime in a manner that is unbelievable to the average person.

What story changed please?
My question is what if it did happen? And you couldn’t answer. You still can’t answer now. What if it did happen? Would you have been on the right side of history?

The common sense thing would be to ask the accused to come defend himself instead of saying the accuser is lying . That’s the reason why victims find it harder to speak up because folks like you will immediately say they are lying. Please tell me what’s different in what I posted yesterday and today? Did I ask you to lock him up and throw away the keys without fair trial?
You making it into something that it isn’t because I didn’t join in your victim shaming crew says more about you than it does about me for not outright lying calling her a liar.

What if she wasn’t lying? Would your comment not be evil? And even now she says it was joke. You didn’t know that before making your posts. That says in a hypothetical situation you’d like the rapist more than the victim and you don’t need facts for that.

You’re obviously biased towards any incident of rape. Only God knows your personal reason. Hopefully they aren’t sinister
philip0906:
Lol...story don change grin

This is what you said

Where is the neutrality in your post? Your post was already as usual, emotional rather than logical. Genuine rape cases are reported at the police stations, human rights offices, courts not on instagram and twitter.

Reason why many of us dismiss instagram and twitter rape stories...We allow those who are trained in legal proceedings, judge the case at the courts, not on social media.

Nigerians think before u criticize anyone
Because someone posted it on social media doesn’t mean it’s true. Y’all jumping on that wagon beer so eager to discredit her story because of your bias for the alleged rapist.

And even if he did say it, it might hold some personal truth to them.
If she didn’t have an sexual intercourse with anyone after the rape incident then maybe she still viewed her virginity (which is a spiritual thing to some people) as intact because she refused to give power to the rapist.

How does her being raped make her the bad person here and not the person who did it?

If you see her in 10 years time and the first thing you think of is her virginity or lack of it, it shows you still have a million years of growing up to do. Who cursed you folks like this?

How’s it more important than the bad fellow allowed to be in power?

So y’all have gone from “he didn’t do it. She’s lying” to acknowledging that he might have done it but the. She’s the one to be ashamed for what he did?

May it never be well for anyone who lets evil thrive in the way that you all do. Including you.

SenorFax:
Nobody knew anything about the rape before ooo,

Now the whole Nigerians home and abroad knew how she was disvirgined. Be careful how you seek justice, you might end up humiliating yourself. Especially when you are know by celebrities.

If you see her in 10years time, the first thing that will come to ones mind is "that's the lady that was raped". She just completely stigmatized herself, with the help of Nigerians.
Celebrities › Re: Waconzy: ‘Timi Dakolo Successfully Disgraced His Family' by cococandy(f):
No: Nigerians on social media are mostly monsters like you that’s why it’s an issue. Not because the victims calling out the perpetrator is the issue.

The problem is that you all will always be found on the side of the bad people. History will not favor you. But it’s not too late to change. The inate evil in you that always draws you type long epistles in support of wickedness can be conquered. You just have to try.

IamD18:
The disgrace is yet to even start.

This is what happens when you don't think before bringing your family and sensitive issues on social media for sympathy and judgement.

The earlier people understand that Nigerians on social media really don't give a fvck about you, the better for them. They'll only get entertained with your shiiit.

Reactions, trend, attentions, different judgment, sympathy and pity are what you'll end up getting. You won't get justice, but you'll be popularly be known as a rape victim or a false rape accuser.

Believe me, you'll hardly see a Nigerian husband who'll be foolish enough to allow the whole world know that his wife has been raped before, when he can easily report to the authority.

Common sense, Timi and his wife no get!

Social media isn't a court of law where judgement in cases like this are carried out, it's a world where strangers are always ready to catch trip with your shiits.
