Romance › Re: 'Women Should Stop Getting Married' - Married Lady Advises Single Ladies by cococandy(f): 6:56am On Jul 05, 2018 |
Since guys supposedly don’t want to get married either, shouldn’t they be happy that this woman is advocating for something they want instead of bashing her? Y’all are even more confused.
As for her stance, I agree that marriage in Nigeria has little to no benefit for women. That’s why instead of using actual facts to convince women on the reason why they should get married, our society uses age and slut shaming to force women into marriage. Many Nigerian women marry because they don’t want to mocked. Simple and short.
It’s only people who are out of touch with reality that still insist men are the financial backbones of most marriages. Big fat lie |

I saw buhari to be an extremist . That’s what all anyone with sense needed to not vote for him. I heard his bloody inciting comments. That’s enough to know that he will bring blood shed to the country Admit that you and those who supported him were ethnic bigots who couldn’t stand a minority person being the leader of the country. smallsmall: Common, you did not see ANYTHING! Your only problem back then was that you wanted a corrupt and clueless Jonathan to continue runing the economy while his bootlickers like Dezziani Madueke and Dasuki keep looting the treasury blind. That will be an even more foolish thing to contemplate.
You did not predict any Herdsmen killing back then because there was no Anti grazing law anywhere in Nigeria back then.
But notwithstanding, it is easy to take credit, with the power of hindsight. Anyone TODAY, can say l predicted it will rain LAST WEEK and it rained.
We need to stop all these 'looking back at 2015' and move-on to do what is good for the future. Start talking about 2019. |

shaybebaby: Fish in spice tomato sauce, definitely Italian as they love their tomatoes. The cashew fried rice sounds Thai, they love adding nuts to foods they have no business mixing them with.
That pasta is nothing like I've ever seen before, I actually thought it looked like a squid dish them Italians love eating. Literally, raw squid with a dash of lemon.
Tell them to treat you right otherwise I'll be sending the Italian mafia from their motherland after them.
I'll be visiting at the end of the month, one quick getaway before I rejoin the workforce . Come with lots of sunscreen and a wide brim hat. Oh and flat sandals. Have fun love |

shaybebaby: Showed OH, said the pasta looks like one they call orecchiette, a typical pasta dish from Puglia in the south of Italy.
However, he firmly rejected the rice as being of Italian origin.
P. S Italians are extremely snobby and quite critical of how their foods are prepared by others. Tell me about it They are always on Facebook bashing anyone who tries to replicate their cuisine because only their mamas can get it right |

Please explain what was in it, the only thing I recognise is the bread, avocado and blackberries. There’s some weird pasta that I liked (to my surprise), sole filet baked in spicy tomato and grape sauce (weird but good combo) , cashew fried rice with steak. erm I think that’s it |

Yea tell me all about it mikeuz: I don’t think you are married yet, if you are, you will understand.it goes both ways, the man and the woman. My colleague will always say when he gets pushed and hurt; “Women are not problems, they are not complicated they are just UNIQUE”
Marriage is for mature people,( This type of maturity is different from the type you think you have now), you only experience it when you are in it. He will hurt you, she will hurt you, the children will hurt you too.imagine it being rosy all the time, it will become boring. It’s part of what makes marriage an interesting journey. It’s fun and lovely, and as you grow older you will begin to appreciate it more, as long as the marriage is founded on the right principles, and not SOCIAL MEEIA PRINCIPLES. |

My simple suggestion was for her to try to engage him in the activities/chores that she needs to perform at home as a first step. If it works, she won’t be tired all the time and they can have more time to make love. Nobody said anything about going anywhere with four kids. And it if comes to that, you people overlook/belittle the Nigerian legal system a lot. She can still walk away with her due with the help of a good lawyer. But that’s still far far away from the discussion. I don’t know why you went there. ClimberG: Ok madam pls educate me. Table your own suggestions to her...I'm all ears I also noticed your location from your profile says you are in USA. Madam i hope you are not about to compare the married women in the states to that of naija. They have a lot more leverage over their marital affairs in the states than in naija. Spousal support laws, child support laws etc.... So many many leverages for women over there, so husbands over there dere not messup. And if he messes up, the lady can easily file a divorce knowing the law will back her up. In naija, ITS NOT THE SAME. Where do you expect this woman to go with her 4 children??
Ok like I said Im all ears to own suggestions. |

So those are the only options? 1) Fight the so called mistress 2) suffer in silence 3) help the mistress into the home Do you have an option that holds the man accountable to her? An option that includes respect for her and respect for the vows he made to her? An option that includes not reducing herself? ClimberG: Whether you like to hear the cold hearted truth or not, let me spell it out. For her husband to threaten her several times over and over again, not once or twice but repeatedly. He is already having an affair outside. Its up to her to decide how she would handle the outside mistress affair. She can choose the long suffering way of endurance and torture by praying for him to change in the church or take the less stressful way. Its up to her to decide.
Btw most mistresses dont like the idea of dating a married man, they are just there for the money, dats all. If you kindly bring them to the table, you would be surprised how helpful they can be. If you like go and start fighting the mistress, you will loose. |
