They will say she has spiritual husband Neverquit: Postnatal depression is real.
In a country like Nigeria where such things are deemed ridiculous/lie/unbelievable, the mother would not have had access to therapy/medication/care.
Childbirth affects women differently.
True story: recently, a good friend had a baby. She couldn't stand the sight of her son. She didn't touch him or breast feed him. She was diagnosed with postnatal depression. Fortunately, she has an understanding hubby, and lives in a country where provisions are made for such things. She was fine after weeks of treatment. Now, she's inseparable from her son.
If na naija she dey, I can't imagine what she might have done, or the names peeps would have called her. |

Jaquar456: What kind of irresponsible upbringing is this? I am so disappointed in Regina Askia. This shows she has not been an exemplary mother I guess since she shacked up with some Frenchman and had this daughter out of wedlock, her depraved actions are not surprising. Regina's unsavory past has caught up with her in this daughter. Prospective baby mama, just as her mother was. Thank God she is not yet working at a strip joint or standing on the roadside. Oh please shut up! Irritating Pharisee. |

Funny thread.
What will you say if you have ones like us that don't wake up until 11:00am if we don't have to go to work or school?
Leave the woman alone if her waking up at 6:00 is not harming the home in any way. |

Disease that is feminism? That's it. I'm done with ya ignorant arse If this was a convo, it ended there with that silly line. konvict0111: You have made an intelligent submission with your post on this subject, but I'm afraid your opinion has been influenced by your own penchant for the disease that is "Feminism".
Life is complex and is hardly defined by any rule, yet, from time to time, we must learn to commit to see beyond our noses, shun every form of sentiments and say the gospel truth no matter who is involved.
No matter the analysis we choose to do with this, a lady with kids from her teenage years must have been wayward in certain respect. I understand that there should be room for improvement in all cases, but we must learn to avoid choices that will damage us in the years and years to come.
I could just go on with my thoughts, but I'm obviously not a big fan of these things. |

ancashy: Is it impossible? who do not know the physical make up or stamina of the 14 yr old, the rate at which kids grow this days, you can see a teenager and greet him or her with Ma or Sir.In this life;anything can happen. It's not impossible if he's stronger than her but that's not what happened in this case. is it? Why assuming? |

Dexema: on a final note, this is africa, Nigeria where a considerable chunk of resources for family upkeep is "expected" to be provided by the husband and hence the supporting role played by the wife, I hope you do get my drift, different lands, different laws, practices and ideals. What's the issue? that he doesn't have a job yet or that the woman has kids? Because you seem to be drifting between the two points. |
Family › Re: Housemaid Arrested For Raping Employer's 14 Year Old Son by cococandy(f): 10:59am On Feb 11, 2016 |
Sad but true And unfortunately not restricted to females alone. Some guys don't even believe another guy can be raped. So you wonder who speaks up for male victims of sexual assault when other males think they are weak for speaking up. Many parents don't even help matters. pcguru1: I think there's a perception from the ladies, that males can't be raped; because by default some are already suggesting:
1. Seduction 2. He molested her 3. Already making the maid the victim
However if the case were reversed rape would have come naturally. |
Romance › Re: I'm In Love With An Older Lady With Two Kids by cococandy(f): 10:55am On Feb 11, 2016 |
Dexema: there is no sexism here just plain reality, if the reverse were the case it would be allowable because the male is supposed to be the MAN in the house, or how does he act his role as a man in the house with no income? by just bleeping her? or haven't we seen cases where husbands lost their jobs and became frustrated thanks to their wives, and by the way I know what I mean by "militarised " women as I have come in contact with many force women and trust me very few of them are submissive and peaceful on the homefront . No sexism but it's okay if it was the man? According to whose law? Oh boy. |

If she's a good person what's unbalanced about the union? Would you say the same if he was the one with the kids and older then her? And what has her occupation got to do with it? Militarized? What does that even mean All this skepticism boils down to so much unfounded assumption and prejudice rooted in sexism. Simple and short. Dexema: hi cococandy from my own point of view the age is the least of the issues on ground, hell I can marry an older mature woman once the love is there. but the main issue is 2 KIDS who are almost adolescents + a militarised woman whose history and background remains hazy, then compare with a 26yr old jobless graduate with very little relationship experience (he has been dating her since he was 22). it doesn't just balance, if the woman truly loves him and she doesn't have any ulterior motive(s) she should free him and look for an older more stable man, btw she's not too old herself. |
