Romance › Re: Why Rush Into Marriage? by CoCoLav(f): 5:03pm On Jul 06, 2016 |
totorimi: One thing I know and that I am sure of, is that never ever marry someone you do not truly love and who you know does not equally loves you back.
If you do you will kill yourself slowly instead of having a constant smile on your face you will have a constant frown and and by then you look older ans age faster.
Sometimes people marry for benefits for the things they wish to benefit or gain from the other person. Thats very very wrong. Marriage should be based on true love only not money, not good looks, not a good job or green card.
When you are truly in love, when all else fails, money, good looks, fantastic sex, deportation. The real love will stay. I kind of disagree with you. When you are friends with someone, have mutual interests, goals, sexual chemistry, respect, understanding and tolerance I believe you can make a marriage work based on these attributes. Friendship, sexual chemistry, mutual respect, understanding and tolerance are the bane of any marriage. If love was really all that then it will not be possible to have loved all your EXs. How many times have we felt we really loved someone and years down the line we fall in 'love' with another person?. At some point in your life, you felt you loved your EX didnt you? but you alslo now love your current girlfriend and you will love your next girlfriend as well. There is nothing like true love, love is just an intense emotion you feel for people who are dear to you at that time. |

rexericx: They must be people who can relate with each other as friends and partner in progress. The corollary to the foregoing is that the person who will be your true partner must be such a person with whom you can have mutual friendship , you should be able to play with that person , you should be able to work with that person , you are to be intellectually compatible , even though you are at different levels . This means that the difference should compliment. You must have common interests , share decisions together and have the same values. Such kind of partner is the right person for you.

The problem is...if she is so easily brainwashed, what else can she be brainwashed into doing? Putting a love potion in your food? Throwing a tantrum each time you want to give money to your siblings?. Forgiving her doesn't mean it won't happen again and what's worse is that she will become more adept at covering her tracks.
Marriage really does seem like such a chore. |

chronique: Like I said,it's their headache. Anyone who has seen the bad side of polygamy, and has suffered the trauma of coming from a polygamous home, won't wish to put an innocent child through that trauma,if the person is mentally alright, and not an extremely selfish being. I wanna give my kids the life I never had,and I'm that committed to it,so Bleep polygamy. Awwww! This is so sweet |

Nothing surprising here. You don't know some of these white men act like fools around black women. Tell them to jump and they will ask how high. |
Health › Re: My Phobia Story by CoCoLav(f): 8:10pm On Jun 30, 2016 |
I knew I was claustrophobic right from secondary school so I avoided any situation that will make me panic. As I grew older, I started being more rational and so when I'm stuck in an elevator or crowd I trick my brain into believing that I'm not trapped and even if I am it's only temporary. I let myself believe that if I actually want to get out of that enclosed area it's easy. That instantly drives away the panic. Your panic attacks are an emotional reaction and you need to allow your brain control your mind not your emotions. Studies have shown that signals are transmitted to the emotional neurons first before they get to your brain which is why you panic before thinking rationally about your current situation. |

bellville: Covenants on land run with the land. In other words, a new landlord inherits subsisting leases on the property and should have done due diligence to ensure he pays your former landlord less the subsisting rents.
Way forward for you: Get your lawyer to write the new landlord stating the issues and threatening legal action if he continues to disturb your peaceful possession.
Way forward for the landlord: He should issue 6 month notice to the tenants and 7 days notice thereafter. After the 7 days notice, he can then proceed to court to recover possession. Eviction is protected by law. There's no short-cut to it. Bringing SARs to threaten you won't help him. It's not a matter for the police. Finally! Someone who actually knows the law. |

Teetom2: hmmm life has not been easy for the past one year. I met this lady at the university and proposed to her. it took me two years before winning her heart. For the first six months, my beautiful, loving and caring girlfriend seemed disturbed whilst I was Okay having her around me even though I was disturb too for her unhappiness which I didn't know the cause. whenever I said I love you, she hesitantly responded but when I ask her Would you love me forever she will say "that time is yet to come for all of us to decide especially you " . I never understood her. She did not show any sign of living with the SC type of sickle cell condition. she indeed show care for me as I also love her. When we were going for vacation she asked me to check my blood type, HIV and sickle cell status. I love the girl and for that matter conducted the tests she instructed me to do. But to my disappointment I turned out to be AS. with no sign of my lover been a person living with sickle cell, I submitted the report with the idea that even if she is not AA and she is AS we can still continue.
But it wasn't what I was thinking. she is rather living with SC condition of sickle cell. I try to frame my statement in different ways to seek the opinions of friends about such a relationship in which the danger of putting an innocent child into pain but all answers comes in the form of separation. Anytime the issue of breakup comes to mind tears become our food for the day. It is difficult on each of us part to let the other go but all avenues seems blocked for the continuation of our relationship. I always take her to hospital when she falls sick .In fact I cannot say when she is sick I won't attend to her but as much as she falls sick and I am with her my love for her increases. She has become part of my life and living far from her always send me signals that I have neglected my calling. I look at myself and sometimes I think anybody who hear of this will insult me that I am crazy and irrational. For this reason I have no one to discuss this with except on social media where no one knows this insane guy writing. I know I will still look irrational in the eyes of some but those who care should express themselves to help. For every friend I lost to sickle cell as a young girl, I blamed the parents. If you want to get married then do not have children. You cause pain and heartache to everyone who has had the opportunity of knowing them and it's a pain that lives with us forever. It's not worth it. Do the unselfish thing and think of your kids. Having them wonder how long they are going to live is not fair. |
