by next week, only the players with long-term injuries would be left out.
it means lindegaard, smalling, rooney, anderson, valencia, cleverley would all be back.
we are good to go from now on. . . .
Thats if they dont get injured again. We just need to be very close to City so that they can feel the heat knowing almighty UNITED on their heels.
Its been quite sometime Anderson played, hope he still knows how to play, ok his twin cleverley will be right beside him grin

City now still have to play Chelsea, Arsenal and United. We need to be close to them incase the decider game is the one we against them. That would be a match!!!

we don't have to beat spurs. . . .a draw is enough.
the game tomorrow is the last difficult game left for us before we go to etihad stadium.

we have won 6 of the last 7 league games drawing one and yet wenger got the manager of the month. . .
it's baffling. we are guilty of our own success here. apparently, 6 wins in 7 is not enough to convince anyone united have done well considering their injuries.
This season seems to be somehow different from the way am seeing it. Like u said we are not exactly convinced with the way we are playing even though we have won 6 outta 7 games. In other seasons by this time the confidence would be high and we would have been coasting, probably losing a game along the line, but this time seems diff. The team has been tweaked so many times that everytime we win a game we heave a big sigh of relief cos of the so many changes that takes place in the team. its a miracle we are where we are on the table judging by the way we have played this season.

The spuds know that this game is a do or die affair for them, knowing that Arsenal are right behind them, if Arsenal somehow overhaul them on the table they should just ask to be relegated grin, so i think they would come out smoking.

I dont want a draw, i want a win. Shikena!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 6:26pm On Mar 03, 2012
Now we absolutely have to win the spuds
Cos if we slip up here it might be difficult to catch Man City.

But again, Man City dont look too convincing these days just that one of those names they have on their pay roll can conjure up something on the pitch.
I was not impressed with them against Bolton.

I hope Henandez starts, but we all know Fergie definitely has a mind of his own. would not mind Berbatov playing this game at some point.

This tie is still winnable.
This Napoli side isn't solid by any means
Chelsea has a chance if they get it together in a fortnight.
winnable ke!! with this chelsea team! What are the chances of that happening?
Its just like saying Arsenal have a chance against AC Milan. We know both AC Milan and Napoli might not be fantastic, but chelsea and Arsenal have shown that they cant do shyte against these teams when they play the return leg.
All they need to do is to attack and score a goal, it will kill any comeback that anyone would have been expecting.

Chelsea was poor, too many mistakes and guys who practically did not know what they were doing on the pitch.
Am sorry for AVB.

@ Debo,

me i dont understand you again oo, abi na Wenger dey confuse and vex you.
I think you should stop this 'we went further than United and made more money' thingy especially when you have/did not win the competition in question.

Meanwhile you berate Dudu as being deluded when he talks about balancing the books with the poor run of results on the pitch which eventually leads to trophilessness.
How much does Arsenal make in just going a round further than United and how will that extra cash translate to any meaningful signings when we know the money will be used to balance the books and profit sharing.

I guess your philosophy na 'at all at all naim bad pass' abi grin

I dont even understand which kain game we play sef.
Dont know if i shud lash out at the team or praise them for the come back. Anyways 2points off the pace is not bad at this stage. But its looking like we would need some major stumbling by man city to clinch this title. I think it achievable.

its gonna be tough and tight, but with come backs like this there is hope.

technically, i would have berbatov but more often than not. . . .he rarely gets decent services in games.
passes to him are overhit/underhit. you often see him asking his team-mates to move into one position or the other or you see him flailing his hands because of a wrong option. we really don't have the players suited to berbatov's advanced football. . . . .we have too many "hoof and hope" players which suits rooney more than berbatov.

You gast to be kidding me!!

The verve and determination Rooney brings to the game even when he is having a bad day is what really makes the diff. Berba and his languid style will be irritating when he is having a bad game unlike Rooney. Berba needs fast players around him who anticipate the impossible passes that he so likes to dish out, when that does not happen he seems a liability on the field.

If Terry plays on sunday, will Rio shake his hand?? Evra and suarez when we meet liverpool?

Those are really pathetic excuses, those reasons were given just to make 4th position. Will that excuse be tenable when they dont make 4th position or worse still, finish 10th.

What kinda excuse will suffice then? This has been said numerously here and we have even used it to yab arsenal fans "you cant keep doing the same thing all the time and expect a diff outcome. The truth is something has to change and as we know, Arsene and the board knows best.

remember those days we used to goad debosky and he religiously hung on wenger's coat-tails.
it seems debosky has now seen the light.
the empty promises have irked debo to the point of frustration. if you arm debo with a high velocity rifle now with a single bullet, we all know who debo would be aiming to gun down. grin
The light shineth and darkness comprehendeth it not grin

The statements below are classic grin grin

debosky:
What you fail to comprehend is that we might fall so far back that it takes 2 seasons to return to CL footie. If we continue hemmoraging talent the way we did last summer (while remaining in the CL) how much worse do you think things will go?

We've been in the stadium over 5 years - what is the end product? Nothing. The best players we've nurtured for 5 years have all gone. No trophies and now about to go out of the CL. That you cannot perceive our decline shows that you will still be making excuses when we're 10th at the rate you're going.

Half measures will only lead to failure - it's foolish to invest in a stadium and consistently fail to get quality players to play in it.

Another point - once Chelski overtook us in 05, we've never bettered them - you must be a bit naive to say Chelski did it for two seasons.

Kroenke is simply looking for a secure investment that turns over a transfer profit. He doesn't care about trophies. Heck even Wolves made a profit last season so that'd be good enough for Kroenke.

Someone that hasn't come out to set a target for his club? No vision, no ambition? Give me a break.

Barcelona did not achieve anything by 'building' - the team that started off Pep's victories had Ronaldinho, Eto'o and other stars that cost far more than anything Arsenal appears to be willing to spend. If that's what you're calling 'building', then were is Arsenal's big buys to complement those being 'grown'?

As for Dortmund, they could succeed because they play in a less competitive league with only one other big shot (that slipped and allowed them in) - in our own case, we need three or four sides to collapse before we win. I've been telling you this exact same thing for over two years now but you still don't get it - you'll never get it.

We've been in the stadium over 5 years - what is the end product? Nothing. The best players we've nurtured for 5 years have all gone. No trophies and now about to go out of the CL. There you go talking nonsense again - so the issue of getting one more striker in January now needs billionaires?

There's no point continuing this conversation - we'll see the reality unfold soon enough.
