efficiencie: ...then instead of recruiting people employers will basically go capital intensive and deploy the use of automation to displace labor...when that happens you will be back to square one, capitalists get richer and employees remain unemployed in their sapa republic! The free market is best mechanism for price/wage determination unless you want to live and die as an employee. Any attempt to fix prices/wages (as obtainable in a command economy) will ultimately hurt the very same people you claim to protect! I rather favour a salary system negotiated at employment and a yearly profit based commission. |

I hope this isnt a recycled news being used to subtly attack Oyedepo cos I can see a part about being second richest pastor. I am sure when RCCG original founder was alive, he would have been the richest pastor in Nigeria but did his alleged wealth transfer to his children? Where are they today. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Bishop Oyedepo Sacks 40 Pastors 'For Low Income From Their Branches' (Video) by CodeTemplar: 12:11pm On Jul 18, 2021 |
NewDelhi: You just said Nonsense.
Every winners branch has an accommodation. (Usually at the back of the church). It's free for the pastor and his family. He doesn't need to pay a dime, the church doesn't give you money to rent anything. Once they redeploy you, you'll vacate and the next pastor will move in with his family. That's how it is in winners. Accomodation is free.
Secondly, paid which Money to get which hall? What are you saying please? Winners does not rent. They build their stations from scratch.
You're also talking of absenteeism? You think he's the only pastor running the affairs of the station? He has lieutenants and subsidiaries. It's a full time job. Fine they can have side hustle but you just have to find time to commit yourself to the number 1 purpose that brought you to that community.
What that pastor said might be true. I was in church today ( a winners branch in a remote area where my farm is ) and the pastor was unusually absent. To make matters worse, the assistant pastor said another pastor was coming next Sunday to preach. Maybe the former one has already been replaced we don't know but definitely , it was obvious something wasn't right somewhere. That part about all branches having accommodation isnt true. It is 90% wrong. |

focus7: I just posted on one thread about Oyedepo. A most manipulative, deceptive and greedy pastor I ever know.
Modified: What a business strategy. A mandate to plant 10,000 churches in Nigeria with monthly minimum income generation of 3m. Multiply that by 10,000 that gives you 30billion in a month not adding what is generated from the other existing branches o.
You can imagine the pastor thought the motive was to win soul to the Lord not knowing it was to make money for Oyedepo.
Tell me how many importers from Alaba international makes that as profit in a month. Omo church is a business o, fleets of aircraft loading and the boasting will increase volume.
Nigeria government should start taxing churches, it's a business setting in Nigeria. There is no way those rural churches will be expected to generate N3m. Most have a average capacity of around 100 at most and N3m will translate to average of about N7,500 per worshipper per service. |

Toks2008: I wrote here some years back of how things play out in Christ Embassy where i was a member of the HAven, a PCF segment of the churcjh.
Haven is made up of rich professionals who love to finance the gospel in the church. Anytime there is any huge project, the burden is on this group to cough out the finance.
But when i had a terrible accident in 2001 that made me totally incapacitated, there was not even one of these group members who gave me a dime pending when i get back on my feet.
Months after i was able to walk again i resumed worshipping at the church and guess what...just a month after i got back to church, we had a meeting to raise money to buy a car for the pastor of that branch at Alakija. I just shook my head and left the church for good.
I hope they have changed. Many churches are all about the money they can get from members and they don't really care about the welfare of same members or even care so much about the primary purpose of soul winning.
This is why i say salvation is a personal thing... Don't look at the churches but focus on Christ Jesus, accept him as lord and saviour and relate with him directly and not through any mortal man like yourself. Money matter is a very complex matter. Everybody don't have same perspective about money and don't possess same level of generosity. In a situation as yours, there should be some form of help and even prayer. |

PeaceJoyLove: Na wa ooo. Why are you attacking this lady who wants to encourage others (esp ladies)?
Is this the way to receive something in your own culture? To bully and receive? After she has summarized the steps anyone who wants to do it should take.
Is it a crime to take narrative style? Why is your brain programmed in one direction? If I say programmers are one way traffic, your mates will rush to attack me. Ha ba! So, from the little she wrote, you cannot make research further yourself? Must she write everything word for word? Oga, if you know what you are doing, she has given summary of everything needed. It's you who the joke is on that cannot decode easily. And for your info, someone still asked me politely, and I downloaded so much. In this same NL.
If you are into DS, you know you dont need to talk too much. How many people can do it? 99.99% of the so called Nairaland mentors cannot do it. I know cos if they can, I will know. But this lady is going in the right direction. When I see one, I know. You dont know cos you dont know the stuff yourself. Relax sir. If you have info, drop it.. it's an open platform for sharing knowledge.
It is good to be humble. So, it's your bullying that will make her to start telling you to read this, that, and that's like she is raising a toddler?
Alright...oga, I will tell you the initial steps again....and see if it will not intimidate you.... to really be good in AI , learn python. Or should I start giving you materials to read again? Ok, after you are good, the next step is you pick real engineering maths: linear algebra, calculus, and Basic/Advance statistics. If you cannot do these, forget, you cannot be AI specialist. Maybe you look into deep statistics and go for Data Science. Is this what you want? Should I start telling you what to read for Calculus? Ok, I should jump into DL and ML? People that are struggling to still cope with coding.
Oga, she is using narrative style to present her case. Let her be. If it's not good for you, dont return.
Learn how to ask questions politely and stop being a bully.
Lastly, go through her thread, she has given the distinct difference btw data analysis and data science. Did she tell you she is writing about analysis here? Did you not read the topic? Return to the thread and find it. Be attentive. Read to understand and not to bully.
Goodluck! You sound like the alternate moniker of someone looking to make money off people. Nairaland is the best place to post any truly free information that's of value for this kind of 'mentorship'. I see no reason for a long epistle that could have offset 30% of the information I talked about. There is a good chance your next reply will cover another 30% of the actual answer I expect. |

Whatever they do, they should leave Christians out of it. His words are always quick to push the blame towards 'infidels'. They shouldnt use Christians a unifying scapegoat. This is simple psychology tactics. Creation of common enemy outside two opposing group will quickly unify them. |

What you can so for people that will guide them here is to tell them what data analysis entails. The various stages it can be broken down into, the materials for these stages, some typical data analysis tasks and their brief breakdown.
There are so many threads like these on Nairaland. Half information can be more dangerous than no information. |

I begun to loose money seriously. It led me to stealing from my parents and uncles each time I visited them. I once went home and found ₦80,000 and stole it and ran back to school. 80k then is like 800k now. I got to school and gambled 20k instantly. The next day I continued gambling, I gambled till I lost the whole money. As if that was not enough. I pulled my jeans off. I bought that jeans at ₦2500 then. It'll be worth around 40k now. Bought it in one of the popular boutiques in Ikeja then. I gambled the jeans also . Pulled off my shirt and gambled it also. Was left with only boxers and Indian hemp. That's how I lost 80k , a jeans and a top. This is too show how terrible this spirit is. I can't calculate the amount I lost as a gambler. This is the one I can remember, cos the money was in bulk This one is funny. You gambled your clothes away... Lol. |
