There is destructive competition and constructive one. What we practice in Nigeria is 99% destructive competition. Many a times we end up trying to pull down other to stay ahead or in the race instead of advancing. The reason threads like these don't catch my fancy any longer. |

Ofodirinwa: This man, Sanusi, Soludo, Utomi, and others are only regarded as intellectuals because they're not crass. They don't say anything of substance or anything that isn't obvious and their either deceitful like Sanusi about their actual intentions, or unbelievably naive for an adult man like Soludo Utomi and Moghalu. Nigerians want to believe in someone so bad that anyone with a suit that isn't screaming something ignorant or tribal is considered worthy of an audience. I tell you. So many of these our leaders know what is right to do but in life and leadership, selflessness, vision, learnedness, and character are key. These combination of traits or attributes are not easy to come by in many. |

Newboss: Winners belongs to Oyedepo. He can do whatever he likes. In fact, simple accountability, and he's angry. You can argue that all you want but Nigerians know who own these churches. Nigeria, on the other hand, belongs to Nigerians. Nigerians elect their leaders. Buhari has just four years to get lost. Those pastors are there for life. They detest any form of accountability. It's family business to them. No offense at all, just being plain with reality.
There is no basis for comparison. ....and who owns Redeemed (RCCG) ? |

Christianity Etc › Re: A Reflection From Dele Momodu's Opinion On The 2020 CAMA Laws by CodeTemplar: 6:46am On Aug 31, 2020 |
IniAkpanMorgan: For God sake if "the Church" is as successful as Dele Momodu paints it, Christians would not be killed, no Christian should lack electricity...why should the Church record 0.0001% success in 100%, and just one denomination grew from 3 into a world class "Church", but over 80% of others earn less than N50%. What caused the difference if "the Church is one body"?
It was Abraham who gave the first recorded tithe, and he received the Levitical Priesthood bequeathed to his great grandson, Levi. It was Mechizedek, the King of Peace and custodian of the eternal priesthood of god, who received Abraham's tithe to bequeath the temporal priesthood to Levi as "the Guide to the Guard".
Jesus, the Prince of Peace and heir of the eternal Priesthood, received the bequeathal of the tithe of Levi, in Abraham, and allowed for the time until his coming in flesh amd blood, to relieve the temporary priesthood, and institute the everlasting priesthood.
Today, we are all priests in Jesus Christ, and he is the Chief Priest. The Head of the Church who is in heaven and having his body on earth. Is this truly the Church that "Church leaders" fear that "a Fulani Alhaji will take over?".
Let us understand the propaganda of "Church leaders". All that Dele Momodu has reeled, are material and carnal successes of denominationalism. All those successes are for "The Living Faith Church", and a few members of the business vision of the denomination. More than 80% other members of the same church across Nigeria still live in darkness and struggle with portable water supply. We are tired of cosmetics.
I dont write to be paid, getting paid for writing is Dele Momodu's business. He therefore cannot see as much as this matter needs spiritual insights, otherwise, even "the very elect will be deceived".
God bless you. IniAkpanMorgan is missing it clearly. The church cannot attempt to form a society with a society. it doesn't work that way. |

Na your time dey blame other people for the failure of their wards in school and life endeavours generally. You sound extremely irresponsible. The main problem still remains Arewa. Others have that tendency no doubt but the current holders of Nigeria are the Arewas. Take power for example, Why must power generated beyond certain threshold be wheeled off to every nook and cranny of the country when not everybody regards the fruit of western education. In life, there is room for competition but also separation of growable entities. Why must all of Nigeria developed at same rate when some see life differently. |

See how the devil is using people against people. When God wanted to restrict the limits of people, he gave them many language to cause division among them. Now are days we are the one dividing ourselves up along trivial lines.
God also said one shall put a thousand to flight but two shall put ten thousand to flight. That should hint wise folks about the power of togetherness. |

IBvoss: Obviously a neurological disorder. I also suffer from something similar. In my case when I come in to close contact with a large amount of ants, my nerves get all tense and I keep on feeling like there are ants crawling over my body even though nothing's actually there. It was even worse when I was still a child. I used to see all strange imaginary insects at night, and imagined they were touching me. It wasn't something trivial and it gave me sleepless nights, but I eventually got over it.
It's all in your head. Nothing spiritual exists, don't be fooled. If you don't get over it with time, I'd advise you see a specialist. You sound extremely daft. |
