kiyosaki1: We are talking of two different medium ,the medium the scientist used in the experiment is liquid and the general medium where transmission takes place is air and other things are slso involved like humidity ,pressure etc which are eithet present in in different measured or not present in the control experiment. Until a test is carried out in an environment that is similar to our environment then we might agree . Beside the scientist are testing for other things and not wether they can survive in hot weather , but you are just trying to sway the opinion to your way of thinking which is wrong Shut it. |

Seun: Is it the Coronavirus that will cause the recession or our government’s approach to fighting the virus, as adviced by experts in the same category as the ones predicting a bleak future for us? Both. Just look at how they politicize the cash transfer by using a list compiled with election voting demographics in view. Incompetence is our govt middle name. |

FreelanceRebel: I believe reverse is the case, those who have been out of work especially in production will be eager to get back to work and start making money, but due to previous #stayAtHome experience people have not been making money, hence product will be available but money to buy will be scarce.
Will good policies on ground toward poeple, the impacts will be minimal or absolve easily You r looking @ it from internal money flow perspective. The bulk of money those people make originates from oil proceed coming in to the country and repatriated fund from abroad. Both major sources will take a serious hit. The best is to keep diversifying, agriculture to me, is our best bet. |

the genomes in the virus have been genetically traced back to a cave of bats in China, a location about 1000 miles from Wuhan, but it broke out in Wuhan. May be the lab in Wuhan too had something to do with it but the genetics is pointing to China, animal market. |

Oluneutral: Jesus!
And I was thinking the confirmed number will keep declining!
What exactly is going on!
Some people have said that, any day there're discharges in the day time, there will always be more confirmed people in the night. I didn't want to buy into that assumption previously but seems that's somewhat true with this update.
BTW, what happened yesterday, why was the number of confirmed people lesser and that of today is times four of yesterday.
Did that means not many were tested yesterday.
Anyways, no matter how and when, we're winning this battle very soon.
Please, people stay safe, stay at home to prevent further spread!
God bless and endow our scientists and medical crew more and more with wisdom. lol. |

Health › Re: What Would You Do First & Differently When Coronavirus Lockdown Is Lifted? by CodeTemplar: 5:18pm On Apr 13, 2020 |
Macsjebs: As we countdown to the end of the coronavirus lockdown, one thing is certain - things would be a little different from the norm
Let's share those things we would do first and differently
Here are things I feel would be first & different happenings when the lockdown is over:
1.) Businesses will try to make up for lost times and things may be a little fast paced
2.) Religious leaders will channel so much energy into propagating the 5G and other conspiracy theories in order to justify their inability to render 'spiritual/miraculous' assistance in the fight against covid-19
3.) A good number of broken homes and marriages would be reunited and there will increased cases of pregnancy
4.) A good number of church members would be hesitant to attend large religious gatherings for a little while
5.) Citizens will indirectly be made to pay for expenses govt incurred in the fight against covid-19 through heavy taxes and levies
6.) Prices of commodities will remain a little high for a while
7.) People would still practice good hygiene for a little while like regular hand washing and few others will still continue to wear face masks in public.
8.) Few persons will be richer than they were before coronavirus and there will be a lots scandals and accusations here and there.
Feel free to add yours. nonsense |
Politics › The Lockdown Isnt Working And Should Be Scrapped by CodeTemplar(op): 4:57pm On Apr 13, 2020*. Modified: 5:16pm On Apr 13, 2020 |
I want to call for the scrapping of the lockdown.
My Reasons: 1. Nigeria as a country isn't ready for such a move because most of the people who aren't employed by the government depend on daily income for survival. The woman who sells roasted plantain, the tricycle driver, Motorcycle riders, the Bus drivers, Phone repairers, Business center operators, Market traders, and even a lot of low salary earners will find it impossible to adjust and starve as a result of this.
2. The lockdown isn't checking the spread of the virus given the new spread of the virus to northern states and South southern states of recent. Record shows that the lockdown is only capable of slowing spread rate but incapable of stopping it.
3. Absence of reasonable palliative from govt. The cash transfer so far has not affected or gotten to the people most affected by the lockdown. Those getting the cash are the rural dweller who have been living on lockdown mode even before the plague. The people whose livelihood were affected aren't in the database of poor Nigerians the FG is parading. I must say that the compilation was done on a neighborhood basis and therefore a lot of slums in major cities weren't captured.
4. The lack of technological drive to produce important wares for containing the plague. We lack the expertise required to improve our testing rate of the plague and it seems the few foreign experts in our industries have returned to their nations for better safety.
5. The lockdown is being defiled already. News coming out shows that people are still moving and spreading the virus.
With these points, I believe ending the lockdown is inevitable. Anything outside that is tantamount to postponement of the disappearance of the virus. |

IpobAntidote: Do these idiotic Nigerians know that only those that have paid their taxes and filed with the IRS are getting any money from the US govt?
All these noise about getting money from the Nigerian govt is just pathetic and shows the level of shallowness that exist among the so called youths in this country. I support the govt to give some money to tax paying citizens, which is not a lot in this country. In Nigeria, oil is our tax, why give me salary then take back a portion as tax or compel me to pay it back. Just deduct that tax and give me the salary and in times like these, give me palliative. |
