A Transport University, to be built in Katsina State, is unnecessary, selfish and predominantly corrupt. I know that there will be no money to priorise such, if Katsina State is restructured for police, resources and electioneering control. Isn't there a Federal University in Katsina? Create a Faculty of Transportation logistics
Our current system is lacking adequate funding and Ameachi think more burden of university will solve problems. Our politicians have negative vision for us.

Tithing is not to honor God. You people have so perverted the gospel that even the Devil will be ashamed.

All God needs from you is Love and even that Love, He does not demand for Himself. He wants you to love and take care of the poor because by doing so, you have shown love to Him. That is the only way you can honor God.
To honour God's prosperity covenant.

And you have seen a man rushed into emergency ward in a hospital and after diagnosis they prescribe tithing, ordinary offering, church building offering, first fruit offering & daddy G.O birthday seed to him to avoid a repeat? undecided
That's clearly a spiritual thing and isn't allowed in medical profession if allowed a lot of doctors will do just that.

Can we then assume that Leah Sharibu, and the christian victims of the havoc wreaked in Jos, Benue, Taraba including the ones that died in the Akwa Ibom & TB Joshua church collapse were not born again or never confessed Jesus as their personal saviour? grin

Or was it because they did not pay their tithes? grin
No we can't assume that. You see the bible is one big analogy about the spiritual but since the spirit realm is invisible to the physical eyes, God used a lot of physical process to model and explain the spirit realm. One of the things that qualifies you for protection is your service in Gods kingdom and not just professing salvation and faith. You can't read a mans heart 100% only God can.

Comparing First Bank with RCCG shows you do not know what you're saying.

First Bank atleast pays tax to the government & the CEO/GMD does not sell protection to its customers while using bulletproof SUVs.

I am never against anybody running their family businesses but people using divine inspiration to perpetrating “affinity fraud” by asking congregants to open their hearts & wallets in exchange for phantom blessings & protection when you & your family go about with dozens of bodyguards & mobile policemen.

Your god is in the business of electing fraudsters while abandoning Leah Sharibu at the mercy of Boko Haram to be raped as they wish.

The same god could not even protect his people from getting slaughtered like ileya rams in Plateau (Jos) but he can elect Adeboye to collect tithes on his behalf.

We have seen Countries thriving without your god while Nigeria still remains a 3rd world banana republic even with the prayers, blessings & protection of your god.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_irreligion

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.

Religion will end in Nigeria if I ever become the President - Yaasin!
I compared them based on the logistics of their movement, first bank MD covers a little more than Nigeria but Adeboye covers The world.

There are conditions for Gods protection and not just for anyone professing Christianity.

How does church fund Concern your Povertyhuh

I still understand how people get themselves so attracted to Church Funds?

Be a Blessing to the Church Bro
Lots of folks throw away more than 10% of their earnings to so many useless things like sex, alcohol, hard drugs, gambling and wasteful luxury.
Have you ever seen a man rushed into emergency ward in a hospital and after diagnosis they prescribe sex, alcohol or gambling to him to avoid a repeat? These things eat more than 10% of peoples earning but only the part meant to honour God is under attack. Never mind the fact that some of the things these tithes end up servicing are true needs and not just wants like alcohol and sex or jewels. The unseen battle is real.
Christianity Etc › Re: Reaction As Leke Adeboye Claims The RCCG Makes Trillions More Than All The Banks by CodeTemplar: 3:47am On Jul 28, 2018
In my own opinion, 99% of the church funds comes from less than 2% of the members.
There are people who pay tithes in multiple of millions and there are reverse-tithers who pay 90% and use the remaining 10% for themselves.
Outsiders may never understand this simple fact.

That family business will be confiscated & nationalized by the government the day I become Nigeria's President.

RCCG was birthed through fraud and will be liquidated by the government through fraud.

Adeboye & Sons can declare 2000days dry fasting & prayers if they like, but the wealth he thinks he is accumulating will eventually be spent in building roads, infrastructures & electricity by the government for the same people that were defrauded by Adeboye in the name of Yahweh.
Adeboye was elected by God and accepted by the leadership and followers of RCCG.

Pastor Leke Adeboye does so because Freeze if left unchecked is bad for their business, and as a good son he thinks it is his duty to protect the family business.
Business? Who told you that? can you call First Bank the family business of the MD because he travels first class and lives well. The board knows he has to be comfortable and move freely in order to effectively oversee the bank.

Why can't the Osun Campus be collapsed into Osun State University and the Oyo Campus become (part of) Oyo State University?
There is no Oyo state university. Osun was created out of Oyo state and they started sharing uni since then. It was an advantage to have 2 sponsors but splitting it won't do anyone any good.

Therein lies the problem

One thing Nigerians need to realize is that since 2013...when government told ASUU that the 2009 agreement was no longer feasible...and back then we had high oil prcies.....it was either we raise fees....or we find alternative sources of funding.

And agric is not it, neither is solid minerals.

That means a fee increase, or another IMF loan....or we continue producing poor quality graduates because lack of funds.
Agric is it sir. Landmark university charges over Ñ200,000 less than Covenant and is able to maintain a similar standard to Covenant University - all with the aid of agriculture. There is huge leakage in most public schools.
It may interest you to know that the average unilag or ui grad enjoys nothing less than N1.45million of input from FG. That is what some private uni run on so we must block leakages before throwing more resources to the problematic system.

Let us render advice to at least one state in the country that is performing to enable them do more and improve. You don't change a winning team. Lagos economy is what is making Nigeria to look like a country with economy otherwise we would have been on a "long thing". Lagos people are very hard-working and it is their efforts that is sustaining this country compare to those of us "lazy ass" in Abuja always feeding on federal coffers. Thumbs up for Lagos. I expect Rivers, Ogun and Anambra to join this elite league operating as autonoumous economies within a soverign system.
Stop confusing activity for progress or hard work.
Lagos is just a port state that happens to be the easiest place for packaging firms you & I like to call industries situate their facilities. Think about milk (Cowbell, Dano, Three Crown, Hollandia, Olympia) most of these people don't source their milk from Nigeria but buy almost finished milk from Holland, new Zealand etc and package in Lagos because Lagos is close to the entry point of their raw material/produce. Don't confuse that for hard work.

then why are you comparing lagos, the commercial centre of nigeria, lagos with a population of over 20 million with ekiti whose population is less than 3 million and a farming state. they are both incomparable
They may be incomparable but can always be rated by what the have vs what they achieve. Lagos' achievement has a huge room for improvement.
As a port state in a mushroom indrustialized country it has the unique advantage of housing industries. This is because most industries in Nigeria are mere packaging plants and not manufacturers. This means 'industries' in Lagos have easy access to their semi finished products they are packaging.

I don't care whether you care about my vote either. My vote is my voice and I insist that LASG isn't doing enough for what it earns.

It is stupid to say one governor is the best in Nigeria. They don't earn same therefore cannot be judged in the same manner unless we are talking about policy enactment and all that.
Lagos state has the least landmass and therefore should have the best of roads as roads length are largely a function of landmass.People don't rate what is done with what is given. Most times these people are cyber political jobbers and party-blind supporters.

They better return this university to one state. So sad!
Lalasticlala
They should settle their differences as none of the two states can single-handly fund that school.
All state in Nigeria look up to FG for free oil money and the allocation coming in has to cover many things, I suggest it remains a university of technology to moderate their operation and funding requirement and they should settle their differences amicably.
Osun and Oyo should share admission slots according to the percentage of funds they contribute.
To me, it is a choice between quality and quantity.

E-ticket all the way. That Kaduna road now is a nightmare considering the kind of wanton display of impunity by men of the underworld. Rail service seem to be the only safe way now around that axis. And please be careful in the evenings at the train station in Kaduna also.
FG is allowing herdsmen run havoc along the road to pile pressure on the rail and win over Nigerians with the rail. #mytheory.

I empathize with you on your loss.
However, the gullible ones are those who have commented just by believing in your post without deep reasoning.

In a community of 99% Muslims, it appears you are from the core north. If this is the case, it is established practice for Muslims and Northerners not to bury their dead ones in residential areas.

So, when you say ' home', were you referring to your private residence or to the community graveyard?

In Islamic Community (not necessarily as practiced by Northerners ), the non- Muslims are allotted their separate graveyards.

It is against the Islamic teaching to bury a non- Muslim in a Muslim burial ground and vice-versa.

They may also not be inclined to you burying him in your private residence because communal interest supersedes individual's.

You may be setting a bad precedence.

You may also have siblings who are still Muslims, hence, may not allow you and your dead brother such special dignifying privilege.

This is not to take away the right of your departed brother to be buried honorably and as soon as possible.

I will advice you go for a private cemetary.

There is no compulsion in religion!

Peace on him that follows the right guidance.
Read n use ur brain more.
