HigherEd:
CU has 10 undergrad hostels(peter, Daniel, Esther, Deborah, john, Joseph, Lydia, dorcas etc.) on campus which houses all students on campus. Each carries about 600 students. While the two PG halls carries 540 students. So I don't think Unilag has more hostels than cu.

Cc CodeTemplar
What about other expenses like power, lab reuseables, research grants ?
That guy is tryimg to prove that average of 300k for each student is small. When CU was pay N170k and N250k i know what it was like.

The whole theory makes sense and a possibility . . .
Highly placed people are capable of doing anything. It doesn't make sense that robbers looking for money will kill so much souls unprovoked.

and I me ruined in my post that I don't know the number of hostels CU has but I'm sure unilag has close to 20.

I mentioned close to that in my posts up there.

btw I still stand by my figure. u image caters for 57,000 students
and cu caters for 15k. even though not all unilag students are in the hostel.

pls leave that guy out of our discussion. he won't argue logically. he's only good with insults

I blame the parasite north and their allies if Akwa ibom was a country with its enormous oil and low population it would be in the league of Kuwait and co but instead their money is spent on backward loving Sharia parasite like Zamfara and co not forgetting their corrupt leaders too
Thank you. Funny enough the potential of the north outstrips the oil fund they get. It is like a 50 yr old man who remains with his with his father to be getting N50k pocket money for free instead of toiling and making N200k for himself. Parasites never grow bigger than their host.

If you know where we are coming from, you would appreciate the enormous resources used to bring Akwa Ibom up to where it is today

Most people in Nigeria call Akwa Ibom "Calabar", and that was because before Akpabio, Uyo and Akwa Ibom as a whole was just some town you pass through going to Calabar where everything was happening
Nobody is disputing where you are coming from, it is the pace of developement that is causing this.

shut up! mumu op wetin you sabi....
Booing is part of football..... is nothing malicious.
Even in the english league, where a player moves for from one football club to another...The player sometimes tend to get booed especially when the player had left the opposition old team in such an unpleasant way ....
its nothing malicious,,, its just part of the game.... Even PlayStation recognizes such situation and add it as an effect to their games...

so stop this ranting attitude of urs and get busy with other things....
Booing isn't part of football. Is racism part of football? Can the reverse happen with let's say Abbey George(ex eagle player) and we now say racism is part of football? Use your mind.

lol less than 100 students are expelled from unilag yearly. the list is usually pasted all around the classrooms and various departments for the whole world to see.

the school matriculated 8k and graduated 5k.

3/8*100% is 37%. if you passed through the four walls of a school you won't speculate that at least 37% of students will drop out during a four year course grin

oga I'll ignore your mentions now. you are unbelievably ignorant. if I don't know what I'm saying I won't be giving you links. I would have left the thread jejely.

feel free to display your ignorance on the thread. ignorance is not a crime. have a nice time bro
As expect, always making assumptions. Keep arguing against unilag vc.

how did fees increase 300% between 2013 and now? grin you go school?

guy you are funny as phuck. so even if the fees increase you had to jump into conclusion it's because number of students have decreased ? grin Jesus!!!

let me run out of the thread grin

this is a no brainer!!!
@the first bold part, use the same goole you have been using to spam the thread to google "unilag fee increase july 2017".
@second bold part, how did I conclude? The Unilag VC did and I quoted him.

plus in 2015 from the link in that post above unilag matriculated 8600 students and graduated just 5k+ students.

confirm the number of graduates for 2015 here

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/198964-unilag-produces-178-first-class-graduates-20142015-session.html

for 2014 unilag matriculated 6448 students
and graduated 5k undergraduate students

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/06/unilag-graduates-89-first-class-students/

note that matriculated students are only the undergraduate students. PG students don't matriculate grin

plus we've not been considering the DLI students o grin or are they not students too?

grin

So how many students were expelled? How many dropped out? How many had extra year? How many?
Boy, use your brain. The VC said 40,000 and you are here sampling incomplete & contextual facts.
