Fair enough PsalmzFraudstar: There is noting like a useless course please, you won't agree to accept that it is because Nigeria is messed up that is why you think that there is anything like a useless course. When you asked my school and what am studying and how you think any course is useless; With all these, I can't argue aviation business with you, but let me give you a hint; check about otto celera 500L and check the new boeing 787, and the airbus A350 XWB, after going through it, maybe or maybe not I can lecture you on how carbon composite materials can make airplanes more fuel efficient than their aluminium counterparts: and I don't know if you are the one who decided to understand my initial post that it is only aerodynamic shapes that effect fuel efficiency or it was what I explicitly wrote. So carbon plastic composite material that is capital intensive to build its machine for moulding a particular plane shape is what you said manufacturers are leaving aluminium to because it is easily and readily available? Do you know it has been available since just that aircraft manufacturers are turning to it now. |

There are many who still wrote jamb 3 times and got useless courses in competitive schools..many ended in poly.... Mention what ur studying in ur top school.. Anyways composite materials only make a planes lighter .they are not more aerodynamic than aluminum... In short companies are switching to composite because it is easily available, lighter and cheaper.... Fuel efficiency has little to to do with what the body is made of... The A380 is made of composite materials but it not fuel efficient.. And let me remind u that the Concorde (the world fastest passenger plane and only supersonic passenger plane) is totally made of aluminum and it is more aerodynamic and faster than all the most modern planes today ..it speed justified the fuel usage.. Fuel efficiency has it engines as it major factor...there are old Boeing planes flying today which consume less fuel not because the plane was striped down and made more aerodynamic with composite materials but because the older jet engines were replaced with modern ones with more power and less fuel consumption.. Donald trump Boeing 757 is a big example.... The latest Boeing 737 max is made of aluminum alloy and other metals and it still very fuel efficient.. Please read it again PsalmzFraudstar: No go deceive yourself, wetin carry you run go less competitive school? Those people who stayed at home hustling jamb for 3 years just to go to a first generation school, you think they are fools abi. That time it was the competitive nature of the school that gave me the morale tomkeep trying jamb and post ume until I passed ie after 3 years, at least am not asking this kind of your question. So you want to be compared with your 4/400 quota system to someone who hustled for 3../400, no way! Anyway, Nigeria Educational system is bleeped so anything goes... Na so you wan make I argue with you that planes with composite body is just 10% more fuel efficient than those with aluminium alloy and you think that is all that is put in consideration? This is where Gombe state university has done the worst, I won't say much again. Thank You. |

Lol.... Don't deceive urself.. Those new jets being advertised are not more than 10% more economical in fuel consumption... Their spare parts will still be more expensive than older generation.. Anyways private jets no be ur mate..google the average cost of maintaining one per annum..remember the country has more than 3.and one of it is as big as a passenger plane..Boeing 737.. PsalmzFraudstar: Abeg make una allow this scarecrow to enjoy his life support before going to die with his homosexual cattle in katstina.
Why not sell out all these olden days aluminium scarabs and invest in two brand new state of the art aircraft built with carbon composite material that is much more aerodynamic, fuel efficient with modern avionics and batter turbofan engine modelled from latest technologies; even if it is equipped with modern self defense capabilities, it won't be bad after'all he is not going to be the last president.

I think u have ur answer already on an article on front page.. Anyways the reason why the raillines only generated a mere 1bn is because it not receiving full patronage due to limited route, it not fully completed (Lagos kano maradi line)...and cargoes are still not being transported using the rails..in short the Loan sent to NASS for approval included allocation for the modernization of the Lagos Ibadan railine and extension to tin can island to facilitate cargo movement.. Ibadan to abuja still needs to be built.. Let all this be done and the revenue will rise exponentially Besides there is no where in the world railines are built to make profit..it a service that why it regarded as the cheapest form of transport....that why only government build it not private companies... There is alot of responsibilities that comes with owning a sim..we have gone beyond the times where it solely for communication... Sims are now used for fraud, scams ..bank accounts can be wipe out from a sim..they are sometimes connected to sensitive information or sites with sensitive Information or belongings or maybe a blockchain... If a child commits a crime through a sim or is traced through it...they can't be legally persecuted cuz they are not up to 18.. Parents should rather handle dat..they understand the responsibility and implications and can therefore control how their kids use it self.. My own is dat let the age limit be reviewed to 16...but below that a guardian or parent should purchase on behalf of their sponsors...no big deal Rugaria: MUMU talk If the parents can get the sim for the kids what is the reason for the kids not getting the SIMs by themselves? Is Boko Haram, ISWAP or fulani herdsmen being sponsored by those below 18? All these mujahideen mentality is the reason this country keeps moving in circles.. |

Don't be myopic na... Parents should buy SIMS for their kids......there is a lot of responsibilities that comes with owning a SIM ..especially with this new trend of linking it with an identity card (NIN) ..children shouldn't just have access to it..SIMS have more functions than just communication.. Mid using it has legal implications.. Can kids bear the implications.. But in all honestly they should review the age limit to 16 years descarado: I don't think Nigeria is still a secular nation. Kids 16 yrs and below live away from their wards in schools how do parents communicate with their children in schools or everyday life?
Mummy and daddy are at work or market, first child is at home 15 with the younger ones. When there is emergency, what then happens?
And our so called representatives are there looking for more money when the rights of their future generations are taken away from them in bold daylight.
No matter how I look at it, Nigeria will never be the same again. |

I will quote u anytime..it my phone, my data my choice... ....when did I make a point about the police...u displayed ur arrogance earlier by stating the military should be under states...now ur bringing up a whole different Epistle about police.... Face me like a man and prove why states should handle military ..don't beat around the Bush Trump had limited power because he doesn't control the police..who argued that one... The Navy base in IMO States handles financing and training. The navy divided the command and moved the training college to kano...The media paints it as if it a base that deals with deployment for war.. Rather it a training college... The various stone frigate (land base) around the country were not built on swapping area..weather partially dried or completely dried...the common factor is .they are all on dry land.. I don't know why desert has become relevant in choice of land for a training college.... The Royal navy of Britain have many navy bases established on dry land...they have specific roles to carry out.. I completely know what Navy seal and am not mistaking it for Navy Oga VAT is lawfully under the jurisdiction of state.. I haven't stated other wise..this is y wike could fight because it is lawful..state police isn't the solution to the security crises...and it is lawfully under Fg in Nigeria...my business is not who controls it but how it should be improved..moving the control to states cannot guarantee it effectiveness...and d fact that it is not under state is lawful based on Nigeria law not US until the NASS says other wise And amends it.. Who is against SW wanting supreme court.. Have u forgotten an autonomy was granted for the judiciary and courts generally should be under states.. Left me even leave US politics for now.... The mayor of Washington is not more powerful than Biden or trump..if u say otherwise then u don't know US politics,.. .stop beating around the Bush PeaceJoyLove: Your kind stays in a place where you are blinded. You mentioned Biden....if I start with you about American politics and style of govt, you will open mouth.
Then, I will go and pick Chinese form of government too. In that US, states take care of the police. Do you get it? How can FG be taking care of police? So, google is the thing one should consult to use his brain? Lol. Go and ask very well...the mayor of Washington had power over the police even during the crisis then (black lives matter). Trump had limited power. You talk like whatever. If he had 100% power like Buhari, of course, police would have shut everyone in the street. The mayor resisted Trump. Go and check very well cos you know all. Mr Alpha and Omega. Just saying what he doesnt know. How old are you? And what do you know sef?
You are sending me to google? You dont know me. In your world naval base is established in desert. Do you even know the level of the base Buhari wants to establish in Kano? Maybe you confused the US seal with US Navy. I think that's what confused you. You better get your sh*t together before you appear to debate with me cos I will rattle you. You dont know what you are saying at all. Or asking the British Naval to do what you are saying. This is how you confuse illiterates.
In your mind, you have educated me. Like I said, you have made yourself known as a dullard like the Buhari who wants it there.
He said FG is powerful everywhere. Lol. I mean, you need real understanding of this whole process. You need to study many EU nations, Asian nations, and even American to conclude. The things Buhari has put in your head you want to force on everyone will not work. You are all dullards. Oga, I will define government and law for you. Ses, we have started and nothing you can do. VAT is going to state. And Abiodun has started redefining reallocation. Go and hug a transformer near you as court will be the judge. Lagos has been beating FG silly since the time of Jagaban (1999). Go and ask how Osinbajo slammed Obadanjo many times reputedly at supreme court. You want to mess around with Lagos? Never. This is why Jagaban is powerful. Can you see how hausas are climbing behind him? Really, I dont like him that much cos I prefer someone else to lead us. But when it comes to governance, give it to him. Yes, I respect him. And when it comes to playing clean politics, he is a chief. Even OBJ knows it.
Oga, state policing has come to stay. It will be like "play play". You will just wake up one day and see that Abuja has lost power of controlling police. Then, your mad dog called DSS used to harass people will be checked well. You are laughing cos you dont understand law. Law is more powerful than all these things you are seeing. This is why presidential aspirants of powerful nations read law. Yes, military boys too. But now, we are beginning to use the power of law. Buhari will be checked. I have told you. He is going to be the last most powerful president in Nogeria. We will take more and more power from him. If you dont like it...kiss any transformer near you. Its law and government we are playing.
Anyway, I do not have your time like I said. People like you are the confutionist in this country. I mean, how can one says FG should be responsible for police. Police that is even down to the Local govt. Are you OK at all? Do you even know what policing is about? Cos Nigeria muddled up everything, you think people cant think? Policing is frass root security system. Federal Govt should not have autonomous power over it. It is wrong.
And didn't you read that SW governors are already clamoring for regional supreme courts? You talk like you are not in Nogeria. What you people want to use is psychological tactics to discourage people. But I am glad Buhari came to power to open the eyes of people. Gradually, we will get there. The way you all shouted Amotekun is rubbish. Lol. They said Wike is naive, and he slammed FG. Now SS govs have woken up.
In fact, continue boasting in what you dont know. I like the north. They rely on their population as a weapon to oppress others. But guess what? South has woken up. Lol. North will start hustling very soon. And I like that competition cos I may even move to the north. I gat friend there. Thatd when Agric will move to another dimension. I swear Kano and Kaduna will bring what is called top Agric methods on board. So, let the competition start and let's get a better Nigeria.
Please, I plead with you...dont quote me again cos the next you will get are what you deserve. I have warned you. Dont mention me again.
If you mention me again, whatever you get just be contended with it. I have warned you.

Permit my typographical errors Age is not a measure of intelligence... One thing I like to do is ..I make references to what ever point I make based on facts not fiction...and the facts are proven.. Wike dat we all know wails about everything has never come out to say he can't control the security in his state.. Seyi makinde handled the herdmen crises in his state without Fg helping on in the way .he didnt say he wants the police to only under him...yesterday.there was an award given to him for how he handled security in his state.that article is on nairaland..akeredolu and sanwo olu are also on d same shoes too..same with IMO and Borneo state... The issue of state police is being chanted as if that is what the police need to fight crime... The main issues disrupting the productivity of that force is funding, equipments and many of the kind of people recruited.. If this is not tackled...9ja police remains 9ja police even in the hands of local government chairman. I hope u know u don't fight security solely with guns and bullet alone...there are other diplomatic approaches involved.. I know a few crises in Lagos state that guns and ammunition didn't solve totally It mostly weak governors like Ortom that bring silly excuse and spread propaganda rather than facing the issue head one... Look let me tel u something if buhari dissolves the police for states...it doesn't guarantee any improvement.. It as if u were working for gtbank in Lagos and they transferred you to work in osun ..how does it guarantee ur increased competence, performance and funding... The only state that will utilize that opportunity is Lagos and rivers..the rest is just an extra burden on dem... What d police need is better funding ...and most importantly they should stop recruiting illiterate and waec holders to the force.. KaluwisxPRO: How old are you? Your self contradiction is legendary, please stop disturbing your head with grammar you do not understand. Shalom |

I agree with some of ur points...some of them ...no... Look ur comment is just based on hatred and division..ur trying to make the Fg completely... U and I know that is only a fallacy... There is no where in the world where it Fg is only left to foreign affairs and there is no where in the world where the military is controlled by states..I am sure u made such statement based on ignorance and prejudice... Also get this ..every federal government will always get more power than the states no matter what.even in the US (the pioneers of Democracy) it the same thing..no US Governor has power than Biden....the issue in Nigeria is dat Buhari has a bit of more power which he is reducing.. One of the first and major step he took was granting autonomy to the judiciary... Lastly.. Naval bases established on land is called stone frigate...Google is ur friend.. And it exist in almost all the navies in the world... There is a naval base in IMO state, makurdi benue states..there is a forward operating naval base in offai, kwara state..also an inland operating base in kogi state...all this are on dry lands too...so it not strange if one should be moved to kano.... Am also not justifying it but the point is it not strange ...The navy also has an additional responsibility of dealing with internal crises not necessarily peculiar to water or sea..there are naval personnels fighting book haram if u don't know... Notwithstanding the major bases that deploy ships to combat crises on Nigerian waters are all over the Niger delta states and Lagos.... Also note that has the navy wants to create a base in kano...they want to equally do the same in Lekki... Even the air force that is solely responsible for air power and interdiction have created bases that don't have runways neither do dey have helicopter pads to deploy aircraft..but they exist which the major until occupying the place called the regiment specialty... Please acquire information and fact..don't give everything to ur imagination.. PeaceJoyLove: The highlighted part is the beauty of it all. If any state cannot manage itself, that is the business of the state. If they deny LGA, that's the business of the state. They will see results very soon. When others are developing and they are getting poorer, their brains will be fine tuned. Is it not poverty that is fine tuning our brain right now? If any state cannot pay its police, that is its business. Competition will start. Good people will start getting on board. At the initial stage, states will fumble. When they see Lagos and Rivers getting it right, they will fast follow just like how universities followed University Of Lagos before govt started destroying the progress again. Buhari is always a turning point. He was the turning point the military used as excuse to destroy everything. I pray his failure this time will be the turning point for our success. Buhari is destined to fail. That is something that we know. And it seemed his failure was to propel us to success then in 1983, but unfortunately, another ma.d man called IBB took over. History had to repeat itself and that was why Buhari came back to power to fail again. We thank God we have just 2 years left for this dullard to get away and die in Daura in peace. What I pray is that his failure should propel us to success this time.
Listen, the worst thing is govt taking the money and them re allocating again. This is the faulty foundation. It is not about having an Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa president. It is about making each state responsible for its destiny. How can Lagos be generating huge fund and they allocate it to Zamfara which generates non or little? And then Zamfara keeps pumping up the population, and they keep having the political votes cos they have huge population. This is what is happening. This is the fight Igbos should go for. This is the fight Yoruba should go for too. And this is the fight Ijaws and everyone in the delta and oil producing nations should go for.
How do you know that if states are empowered, they wont do it well. Let them fail na. Let them fail first. When no one is bailing them out, their heads will be formatted. Let each state be independent and FG should stop doing the rubbish it's doing. FG must be boxed to just foreign affairs. Period.
When this happens, we will have hardworking state legislators and the numbers of law makers in Abuja will be reduced seriously. It wont even be attractive for people to tun after as everyone will start running to get position in his or her state cos that's where action is. Abuja will be irrelevant as it will be interactive again. So, if you destroy your state, that's your wahala. If your people allow you to steal, that's their wahala. Each man for himself and for his state. Period. The days of taking money from Lagos and Rivers to develop Sokoto and Kano will be over. Let Fulani commercialize their cattle rearing also. Let Kaduna buy crude from Delta for its refinery and the nonsense going on should stop. Let the Igbos have rest of mind and assurance that if they return to their states, they will be rewarded too. Let there be fair play.
States will start going out to form sisters cities with other cities in the world. Let everyone carry its burden. Then, we will see real progress in Nigeria.
And I know we cannot just do it at once. Amotekun gave birth to this. Nice. Wike made progress with VAT. Lagos joined. And yesterday all SS governors have joined too. Great. Now, I am shocked the almost dead state - Ogun has risen from the dead. Ogun is "gingering" Lagos to go for more than FG. If they get if, they will push more and more till they all make Abuja irrelevant. Kudos to Abiodun on this. If seems we are all waking up and we are using the right means which is the law to get it right. This is the way forward. We cannot let Kanu and Ipob set us into war. But I cannot deny the fact that the agitation of Kanu too has it's own good result. This Inthank God for. Yes, we pray everything works together for the goodness of Nigeria..
What I want to see in the next 10 years is that each state carries its destiny. It is good that it is a gradual process cos achieving it suddenly will crush Nigeria as many states arent ready. They still want to be sucking FG's boobs. Lol. So, I agree with you that they arent ready. But let's keep moving forward like this. We will get there.
I think Nigeria will redefine the global politics and government, and create a new system of government which will be unique and then adopted by other African nations. This is why we are giants of Africa. We dont back down. We rise again from defeats. This is it. I am seeing if happening already. We create what is unique for us. We are beaten many times but never shattered to pieces. We get up and fight like Africans. We fought slavery and won. We will fight this too. This, I am sure of. We just need to tackle these old thieves. Osinbajo is presently falling my hands and I am thinking of withdrawing my support.
Mark my words, Buhari may be the last powerful president we have in Nigeria as the next president will be forced to give more and more power to states. This I see coming, and it is good for Nigeria.
Let each region manage it's own military and have supreme court. SW is already demanding for a supreme court of it's own. This is good. How do you explain Buhari creating a Naval base in a desert cos he want it in the north. Ma.d man. It cannot work. Let the north create their naval base in the north na. I am sure that Naval base will be for the north only. And they will soon realise that it is a wasted effort by the time they are responsible for it. But since it's the oil money from the south they want to use, they dont care. Let us force each state and region to be responsible for its destiny.
Let's go there. |

Oga... If u think commissioner of police cannot take orders from a governor to protect his state then ur deceiving itself .. During the badoo crises..ambode handled the issue with the commissioner of police without anything Fg.. Wike ordered the military a whole military to attack ipob in obigbo..hope had meetings with military generals had the air force attack an ipob camp in IMO State.. During the end SARS protest...Lagos state government asked the military to immediately intervene and dey did by ending the protest bloody...sanwo olu recently had meetings With two service chiefs and top generals ..I thought they only take orders from buhari.. If u think governors don't order their security heads in their states.. Then ur swimming in a fallacy... I hope ur not using the excuse of that useless benue governor... Wike created a unit under the police that strictly operate in rivers state only.it called C4I ..I thought that buhari job...so who gave power to wike.. Lagos state government also crested the taskforce team under the police in it states which operates only in Lagos.. So police aren't ordered by governor to protect his state but they can be ordered by the governor to protect his convoy when moving on d road or government house...nonsense... Mention an instance where Governors could not order the police under the state.. It only clueless governors that like ortomatic failure that gives such excuse.. If state governors are the chief executive officer of their states..what stopped them from passing a law under it state assembly to create a security unit that have synonymous functions of the police... Y r dey waiting for the burden of police to handed to them when they can create their own and called them wat they like...ambode created something like that called neighborhood watch... Did buhari punish him..SW created amotekun as well...is it synonymous to the job of the police.. Inshort am not sure ur very intelligent to bring up such a point... One of the major source of revenue to SA Is mining.. And the mining companies pay royalties to the South African government... Am not against state handling it resources ...the point is the total amount of revenue Will still be shared between state and FG...state can't leave peanut to the Fg except u want the responsibility of the Fg, it ministries, agency to be handed to states...and such doesnt work anywhere including the united state.... So in ur limited senses...only Fg should handle foreign affairs..den the rest na states.. KaluwisxPRO: What federal government agency is better? Name just one? Immigration has been without booklet for over a year worldwide, in every Nigerian embassy outside this country, passport renewal data has to be sent to Nigeria for processing before onward movements to their host country, eg, South Africa.
Secondly you know nothing about resources control, you’re feeding a child from a water bottle, with you controlling the movement of how much water he gets, yet you want the same child to have a reservoir for his brother. How much resources are states allowed to do explore? Absolutely none, states are left to generate funds via any means, whereas the FG sits on top of the control of who gets what as resources in the same states.
Barely you will find any Niger Deltan as N oil bloc owner, yet you think the owners who run their business in other states, should not pay taxes in their host states. The Taxes of Niger Delta is being shared to oil workers who milk the resources in Niger Delta but do not remit same taxes from where the resources are generated.
Other countries you mentioned in your daft responses, go check if they run such manner of criminality. Then come back to talk about how meager what states get, yet they are given the most responsibilities.
You claim the Governor of the state is the chief security officer of the states, but the state Commissioner is under the authority of the IG, does that seem to you that the police in the state will do the bidding of the governor? Likewise every other thing under the control of the FG. Until those agencies are unbundled to the state as well as states getting more, Nigeria will continue being a control on a rollercoaster.

I don't know about other countries but I know Nigerian oil can not run out...not In atleast 2 centuries.... If not for the PIA bill dat was delayed for decades and subsidies ..more oil companies would have been in Nigeria to further exploy the country.. The oil wells drilled in rivers, akwa ibom ,bayelsa and delta for decades is what is sustaining Nigeria... And those wells are not showing signs of going dry not in at least 30 years... Now imagine if all this new states that now have oil reserves now begin to dril wells..we will have enough oil to last 2 generations... Nnpc and even the minister for petroleum resources have never said they have problem with the availability of oil reserves... Their only fear is dat one day the demand for oil will significantly drop...and the commodity may even become useless... This is why Nigeria is preparing for that time by switching to gas..Nigeria has more gas than oil...that why buhari is building ajaokuta, Kaduna to kano gasoline (AKK) With plans to extend it to Europe in order to export gas to northern Africa and Europe anorexicmuster: I know that oil won't run out in the next ten or forty years ....but it will run out.(Electric cars also aren't going to replace oil cars yet...it will take some time. )
And it would be good to prepare for that 'evil' day, even if it is 200 years in the future or longer.
That's why we got to invest in techincal education, science, and technology...as well as make our economy more investor friendly, and end out obsession with a national cake. |

What Fg gets isnt enough.. ..but I disagree with u on Fg management... Most Fg agencies and are better managed than their states counterpart except Lagos and a few other wealthy states... Fg budgets for 200 million people is around 30bn dollars..south Africa budgets 2 times that amount for 60 million people.. Hope u see the difference. If states should take the lion share...they should be ready to take the lion share of responsibilities as well by taking over those agencies in their states...then leave the seat of the president to be completely useless... Lol taxes belong to states...if u now want states to take over what the Fg generates for it revenue.. Then there will be no Fg... That means States should be ready to take over everything under the Fg including the military..so think well... Ur just opening ur mouth anyhow and spilling nonsense without analysing the issue critically...how can u say state have better management than Fg..in short most of the corruption are within states and u don't here only because the media do not concentrate on them giving them rooms to loot silently... If ur asked to become a FG worker or a state worker which one will u choose.. How much does ebonyi states make...but look at how umahi used it to develop his state..what about kano and Kaduna they don't make as much as Ogun..but their governors execute more projects there...what of borno...see what zulum is doing... Ogun states yearly budget is over 400bn..go and check how horrible their roads are.what has dapo commissioned since he got into office..many governors are just incompetent and are fighting for their pocket KaluwisxPRO: What has the FG done with the %52? Federal roads are death trap, all federal government agencies are a no go area, immigration is a mess, police is a menace, military is a curse to the country, Fire service is non existent in some states.
The states are closer to the people so are the local government, FG should be more concerned about how much the center takes with nothing to show for it. Federating states should take the lion share and leave the center to generate their own income via state taxes. |

Lol..oil cannot finish in Nigeria not in 2 centuries... If a well goes dry .we will simply drill more wells... Y do u think NNPC is exploring the middle belt and north.. Even some SE states already have oil reserves...benue, kogi ,gombe, borno and many more now have oil reserves waiting to be exploited...a lot of states are literally floating on oil but they don't know it cuz their regions hasn't been explored ... Remember oil prices are now steadily rising... Don't be deluded anorexicmuster: It does not matter.
This oil we dey use, it will soon finish someday.
At the end of the day, every state has to prepare for the non-oil future now. But EVERYONE wants to sell raw materials and import goodies at a value higher than the value of our exports...and get into debt. |

FG has a bigger responsiblity than states hence...FG manages the military, all agencies and ministries...u can't compare the bulk of infrastructure under the Fg to DAT of states..they can't collect 12% compared to around 50% it usually.. Fg budgets more than 12 trillion yearly...the total budget of all the 36 state isn't up to dat if am not mistaken... If states want more allocation ..Fg should also transfer some of their responsibility like some of it federal roads to states to fund and handle.. The same state want total control over their VAT but they are not ready to give LGA autonomy... In short LGA has a bit of life because the FG transfers allocation to them... Trust me if states is allowed to take control ...many LGA will not see shi shi... Las las ..all this things na cruise states want to use the opportunity to cash out because of many of their incompetence...they should have demanded all the money Fg takes na..den when one Fg road spoil ..they will come and shout at Fg to do it... PeaceJoyLove: Why is FG reaping from where it didnt sow for goodness sake? The president is too powerful in Nigeria. No wonder they say states cannot fund police. What the heck is going on. Let each states control its resources 100% biko. Let them pay to Federal Government only tax which should not be more than 12% or so. Let abuja face only foreign affair. Let each state carries it's own destiny. Why should states be responsible for the poverty of all. This is why Nogeria is backward. Each state with its destiny. Biko!

The fall in refinery capacity is not the fault of this administration but the fault of previous government specifically Ibrahim babaginda whom I believed introduced subsidies... No industry can run optimally if it doesn't make profit to maintain itself and grow.. Petroleum product where being subsidized hence the refineries can't make enough money to run itself hence it deteriorated over time.. The same story for power .nothing can ever grow once it is subsidized.. The of crude oil prices isn't the fault of this administration simply because buhari doesn't control OPEC who influences the price of crude. The fall of crude oil production is also not this administration faults.. Nigeria being a member of OPEC was forced to cut it production from around 1.8million barrels per day to 1.1 million barrels per day... This was to create artificial scarcity in order to control the free fall of oil price... The consequence of this order by OPEC is DAT once the market begins to increase and there is demand for oil...Nigeria can not just increase production over night... Oil rigs are not something you turn off and turn on anyhow like a tap..u will damage the entire infrastructure...Once u turn off a functioning oil rig or well...turning them back on requires huge amount of efforts and money..so once upon a time we produced 2million barrels again..we had to cut production by turning off some wells ...now demands have gone up...to be able to produce to that level again.. Government or NNPC will have to budget billions and prepare contracts for the appropriate expertise to turn dem back on... Make research about this The oil industry is much complicated than u think... venabili: Hmm. U try.
My points. You can get the info via google search too
1. Average Oil price was above $100 dollars in 3 out of the 8 Jonathan/Yaradua term
2. Oil production output was at an annual averagevof 1.6m bpd over 2015b to 2020
3. Over 2007 to 2014, it was averaging 1.9m bpd
4. The fall in output of crude oil and refining capacity is solely the responsibility of the current administration.
5. While there were more cash available from crude during the Jonathan Era, they also kept price stable, did not borrow extensively and naira was kept at a decent rate.
6. The fall in revenue is not proportionate with the free fall of the naira, rising cost of goods, unemployment amid massive borrowing. If you borrow, your Output should reflect this in terms of increase in production, forex earnings,
7. GDP in naira has been rising but GDP at constant prices has not. All you need do is convert the GDP to dollars to get a rough idea. Example. If your earned 170k in 2014, thats 1k dollars. If today your salary has doubled to 340k, dnt deceive yourself that you have moved up. You earn just above 600 dollars today or 800 dollars at CBN rate. Either way, you spent 7 years going backward.
GDP in naira terms does not tell the whole story. |

NNPC give data about it..try researching... What I do know is DAT..we spend 15% on an average to import refined products.. There is no corruption in the imports of fuel...since we don't produce it ..we have to import it.. There is only MASSIVE corruption in subsidizing the product many of which ends up smuggled.. tutudesz: We should be feeling the effects of oil price rise a little, even if it's mean dollars falling by 10-5%. The corruption in Importation of fuel will never allow Government stop it. Even the total amount of fuel importation is unknown |

Our increased amounts of importation is also another crucial factors...which is why we need to ban fuel which sucks majority of our forex...secondly. Nigeria needs high production and high oil prices in order for naira to gain value... U can't compare Jonathan and yar adua times where we produced over 2 million barrels per day and a barrel sold above $100 to...about 1.3million barrels today and each barrel going for $80 ....u do the math tutudesz: And Dollars still remain the same I thought they were blaming the fall in oil price for the rise of dollars before |

Everybody worked for the success of Lagos...that why Lagos isn't thriving on any resources but the hardwork of the people who come from every part of the country... Lagos has all the potentials to fend for herself with or without fg allocation... There should me more focus on funding to develop other states in order to reduce migration... Lagos should not have the monopoly of development leksite120: Your analysis no make at all. Keep scrolling if u don't understand how the sharing formula works..state takes 50% LGA takes. 35% and federal takes 15%.. truthstands01: Nigeria is a fraud. What is the FG doing with 52.6%? The States and LG should take bulk of the resources and pay a small fraction to the center. That's the only to move Nigeria forward otherwise its a total fraud. |

So the workers employed at the refinery shouldnt be paid ...it really because u or ur family members don't work there that y ur wailing... Those workers are the reason why the refinery is still repairable after 2 decades of redundancy More over if u understand the sophistication of a refinery u will understand why NNPC still have to employ staff to ensure not all the entire refinery infrastructure rot away.. How is $1.5 bn to repair a 210,000 barrel refinery.. The largest in west Africa.. Soon to be the second largest after dangote expensive..u think say refinery na ur normal factories u see around.. aside dangote who is a government pikin Y do u think no investor had ever thought of building one close to 50,000 barrel...even the modular refineries in IMO and delta have their capacities not more than 10,000ba and it took years to build them plus money I hope you know the difference between a modular refinery and a refinery.. Refinery projects are regarded as major project all around the world because of the kin d of engineering and equipments that have to come together to form one. Y not estimate the amount to build a new one.. Dangote refinery is 650,000ba/day and cost $19bn ,..u do the math for 210,000ba/day.. And ur here complaining about 1.5bn for a refinery that have been moribund for 2 decades plus... Read this article and acquire some info https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.channelstv.com/2021/03/21/we-wont-borrow-all-1-5bn-to-rehabilitate-port-harcourt-refinery-fg-tells-nigerians/amp/Lastly... U need to get this simply economic fact... No industry can ever progress if it is being subsidized...know this and know peace...it doesn't matter weather it is government owned or private....as far as that industry doesn't obey the law of demand and supply and doesn't make profit because of subsidies.. It will never grow... Can't u see the obvious.. GEJ understood this that y he fought to remove subsidies because that was the fundamental problem...but Nigerians ignorant enough said no because of cheap fuel because some politicians benefit from it... If dey had remove this years ago...fuel won't cost this much simply because the value of the naira won't have lost so much value as a result of importation of refined products... Buhari himself understood this ..that y they are slowing removing subsidies from the power sector... Y u do think disco now have the confidence to roll out pre paid meter massively during this tenure....it because of the fact that government is slowing deregulating that sector in order for it to be profitable... There are many kind of industries in Nigeria but the two major industry or sector that have failed us all and stunted our growth as a country is power and petroleum... U know y ...because of subsidies.. Look at telecommunication...there was a time SIm Card cost 30k...thank ur stars obasanjo didn't think of subsidizing telecommunication if not u won't even see network to type DAT nonsense... Today DAT sector has grown to be a major contributor to GDP.. And today look at the cost of SIM...any one working in telecommunication is now regarded as a big man because of how that sector massively grew...oil and power industries are no longer attractive... See ..the greed of Nigerians and politicians as well caused all this because of cheap fuels and power.. Go to Benin republic and Ghana and buy fuel.. Maybe they have two heads for not paying subsidies Fiscus105: U don't understand how, Nigerians run government own company, that's why u are saying thrash, hope u know how much they want to borrow to repair the refineries.
I also believe you don't know the amount of salaries they are paying for workers that are redundant in dead refineries. |
