This is not strange. What is strange is the African society which has made it stereo-typical that an older sibling should get married before the younger. The older sibling is then put under so much pressure and scrutiny. This is the period to show her love. I mean more love and respect than ever before. Remember that at this time perceived hurt could be seen as gloating and her displeasure would be heightened if she perceives that you are using your new status to lord yourself over her. Not sure what it is u want to know. If u are asking to know the sex of ur unborn baby,then u wait for d 18-20th week scan. Anytime sooner will be inconclusive, later will be too crowded for any meaningful deductions.However, at this day and age, the sex of ur baby should be d least of ur concern.you should be preoccupied with making sure your baby comes out healthy by taking all your supplements.My two cents though. Parents, nutritionists, pls. Help me. This DD of mine is 3yrs and 5months old, yet she refuses to eat anything but Golden morn,beverage(milo) and hot dog. She is now so skinny and I am oftem embarrassed by her fragility.I am so unhappy. I earn above average for the financial service provider where I work. All this toiling, yet this girl refuses to eat anything healthy. Pls. Help with useful suggestions since all our trips to the clinic's nutritionist has yielded no results.

It is a good thing u realize that creating a scene was wrong. That was quite confrontational. Marriage 101: never confront your mother-in-law in front of her son! Who do u expect him to take sides with? U? All male children have a certain bond with their mum. Methinks you should apologise to her in the presence of her son to win him back to u, then wait till he has gone to work to have a heart to heart talk with mil. Plead that she goes back home as u are no longer comfortable. If this fails, leave subtle hints at every oppourtunity to make her know she is no longer welcome. But always remember marriage 101. Be sweet when hubby is around.
