Anyone who believes that they are doing this because they don't want the extra money is highly delusional. There are a lot of reasons for this, one being that the increase in salaries comes with a withdrawal of freebies they usually enjoy which includes free hotel accomodation, free meals etc. They have obviously figured that it will cost them more than the extra money to pay for those things themselves. |
I don't want to ever hear about any foreign intervention from Nigeria again. We should use our money to solve our problems, we have a lot of them. |
Hand over? Where the roads in his pockets or what? Anyway, where are the white men? |
3 and 6 are contradictory. Useless article! |
Don't bother resizing your pics, go to www.postimage.com and upload them, then paste the image links here. |
all4naija: You have the gut to say you are in exile! Where you driven from your country? Bwahaha... You South African wannabee!I wonder how being born in exile changes one's name. Kwame is a Ghanaian fool |
kwame tut: YES SOUTH AFRICAN BORN IN "EXILE". WHY IS IT A CRIMEYou are a filthy Ghanaian idîot. Be proud of your country. |
shymexx: [s][/s]Coming from Shymmex? The father of epistles on Nairaland? This world is indeed a strange place. |
talk4free: I can't post more pics now as I cannot edit them to smaller sizes. Protest is still very much on and elderly women and children have come from the villages to join them.Go to www.postimage.org upload the pictures there and post the links here. |
They almost tore the uniform of the police officer who tried to calm them to shreds, it took gunshots from backup policemen to scare them away. |
How punch sees it as an attempt to disrupt a rally is beyond me, these APC supporters completely blocked a long stretch of road keeping people in traffic for hours and when a police officer tried to put things in order they almost got him naked. It shows what APC is all about, I have a video on this thread www.nairaland.com/1549530/apc-rally-causes-commotion-port#1549530.1 they blocked the road and made sure every vehicle had a broom (APC symbol) in it before being allowed to pass. The venue was Rumuigbo civic center not Rumuokoro. |
^^^ hope all of you commenting realise that the guy was filmed with a hidden camera? It wasn't like an interview of some sort, the journalist masqueraded as a betting agent and was discussing ''business'' with him while filming him with a hidden camera. I just thought I should make that clear. |
Led by Rivers state government chief of staff Tony Okocha, youths blocked the Rumuigbo part of Ikwerre road in PH, insisting that only vehicles with proof of APC membership (a broom) will be allowed to pass through. I managed to get some images and a video, though not very good shots for fear of being lynched. Police escorts were shooting sporadically at a point. https://s15.postimg.org/v51sj6vcr/Pic952.jpg https://s29.postimg.org/twf3fq9d3/Pic949.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt6EnHhNHrM Brooms were selling like crazy https://s27.postimg.org/pvt8vigur/Pic953.jpg |
He also mentioned something about fixing world cup matches. When Sani Kaita got that useless red card against Greece in SA 2010, I told my friends with whom I was watching the match that I could swear on my life that it was a case of match fixing. The issue was later mentioned in one of the match fixing probes but quickly swept under the carpet presumably by FIFA in order to keep the reputation of the world cup intact. |
So you put your friends name and surname here just like that? Fake story sha, but I get the point and it is a valid one. |
kingoflag: You forgot to insult Mandela and accuse him of belonging to a certain tribe or a certain particular political party.Mandela made the statement in 2007, just in case. |
A multinational company has vacancies for 15 people and decided to limit the applicants to only First class graduates in order to reduce the number of applicants, but they still got up to 5000 first class apllicants. That is how rough the situation is. |
SLIDE waxie: of course we kukuma knw these, but how will Nigeria be grt wen a leader refused to punish the corrupt? How can we be great when fools like tou cannot contribute anything but tribal nonsense to important issues? |
Sincere 9gerian: And by the way, the phrase "continuous incessant whining" aptly describes people like Berem and co who have the HIGHEST number of posts in the complaints thread (aka official whining thread). I dont think I have made any comment on that thread in the last 3-4 months. So congratulations Berem et al.This cannot be better put! |
More taxes > Bigger IGR > More lootable funds for thieving politicians. The question shouldn't be about the IGR alone, but what the leaders achieve with it. For instance, I'll rather keep my taxes for maintaining my personal borehole, servicing / fueling my generators and contributing funds with other landlords to pave our street road rather than paying it to a government that does absolutely nothing for me, only to come online and boast about the IGR of my state. |
berem: You think its only the hausas that have monopoly to violence? Is there any part of this country or in diaspora an Igbo man has migrated to that you haven't heard of crimes committed by an Igbo man? Just as an Igbo man is business oriented,so is the hausa man.Someone is talking about violence, you are talking about crime, what is the violent nature of the crimes commited by Igbos in those places? You never fail to cease an opportunity to bash Igbos, yet you claim to be one. Go and get a brain transplant. |
I have never seen Musiwa quote someone's post when replying. |
The usual suspects. Very disgusting! |
rhames: With my 23 years of experience across administrative cadres of an audit firm, two law firms, a medical concern and a conglomerate where i spent my last 15 years before retiring in August 2012 at the age of 39, I have found so many things wrong with Nigerian graduates and why the best employers dont go for them. The standard of education has fallen to the extent where graduates commit hell of mistakes in basic communication. Why this is prevalent is that the Nigerian graduate dont read books beyond their texts. I once asked an interviewee graduate what was his prospect working for our organisation. He replied" I will do my best to perform well on the job"Tautology. He met his Waterloo with that answer. You can hardly see a Nigerian graduate reading a motivational book, watching an educative television program like Donald Trumps apprentice, or even attending a seminar for the sake of it. Some are simply arrogant and have no regards for bureaucracy because their qualifications has made them crazy. They are thinking of a job that can provide the good things of life for them. So easy to make a lot of money. We dont pick it on trees.A Nigerian graduate hates pressure. They cant work in the most difficult environment. They know little of Customer relations management. Most graduates of Business administration cant even write a sales pitch or business plan. They argue that they were not taught these things in school. Even if they are not, they dont reason that such little things matter on the way up. Most of them lack initiative and dont have future plans until the reality sets in.For someone crtiticising graduates for thier ''mistakes in basic communication'', you made a lot yourself. Mistake 1: the pronoun ''I'' should always be capitalised. Mistake : don't instead of dont. Mistake 3: ''graduate doesn't'' or ''graduates don't'' instead of ''graduate dont''. Mistake 4: their qualifications ''have'' instead of ''has''. Mistake 5, 7 & 8: refer to mistake 2 above. Mistake 6: can't instead of cant. Mistake 9: it is called ''tip of the iceberg''. |
I knew this thread wouldn't be complete without a picture of Fashola posing close to a white man. |
This man no dey siddon one place? How many foreign dignitaries has he even hosted in Nigeria? |
oturugo: Monkey, shut up. Must he do some thing for Ivory Coast before they sympathise with great loss.So how many other players in Turkish league did such a useless thing? Your mum shold have taken it up the arsè instead of giving birth to an orangutan like you. |
azeeza: This guy need to be examine, typical of a backbencher....Your grammar needs to be examined, typical of a secondary school drop-out. |
We have to stop this attitude of tagging people as kids in Nigeria. Iheanacho's mates have played world cup matches before. Iheanacho's mates are playing in the EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga week in week out. For all we know the guy might not be exactly 17, so we need to stop underrating him, we have to enjoy his talent to the fullest and it starts now. I hope he doesn't play at the CHAN tournament, he has no business being a home based player by January. |
mikeansy: Kelechi Iheanacho cant trap ball in a world cup match! Are world cup balls made of stone? |
Drogba and Eboue are fools. What did Mandela do for their country Ivory coast? |
The same people complaining that Nollywood doesn't portray reality are still the ones who moan whenever they see a native doctor scene in the movies. |
