Columbine:x-ray machine |
happy world Radiography day
|
Every 8th November, is regarded as world Radiography day, where this great profession is celebrated and people are enlightened about what the profession is all about
|
Brief history Radiology has been around for over a century. It all started when Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen discovered x-rays in 1895. After working for weeks in his lab experimenting the production of "strange Rays" which he referred to as "X" , he asked his wife Anna bertha to lend a hand, the left to be precise, which he used to produce the first x-ray image. This phenomenon a great deal of interest all over the world. Within weeks of his announcement, hospitals world-wide had taken the initiative to open up x-ray rooms which gave rise to the radiology department. Radiography Radiography studies the application of various forms of radiant energies and waveforms to promote health and treat diseases in human beings. In this application, various diagnostic images like X-rays, Ultrasound, Radionuclides, Thermography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging are produced. One who is educationally trained and professionally qualified to practice any or all of the above named imagings is called a Radiographer or an Imaging Scientist. The practice of Radiography is divided into two viz: Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography. In practice, Diagnostic Radiographers use imaging modalities like conventional X-rays - which is a machine used to visualize body tissues, bones, cavities and foreign bodies in any part of the body. Fluoroscopy is used to study some the functions of some internal organs of the body. Computed Tomography (CT) is used to provide detailed views of the body's soft tissues including blood vessels and organs. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) produces maps of biochemical compounds within the body. The maps produce anatomical and biomedical information. Therapy Radiographers are practically involved in the treatment of diseases. The use ionizing radiation mainly to treat patients who have cancer. It is the duty of the therapy Radiographer (Radiotherapist) to establish the location of the diseased part of the body that needs treatment and work out the exact dose of the ionizing radiation required for treatment. Note: we also have industrial Radiographers

Dtruthspeaker:you're definitely correct, but lust relating to sexual drive is usually rampant amongst the youths. Sometimes the overtly religious ones always thinks that sexual drive is abnormal and makes them immoral, thereby you see them having guilty conscience, that's very wrong, it's a stage of life, wether religious or not. Even MOGs do have it, but self-control makes the difference |
it is critical to understand t our sexual drive isn't the same as lust, for example; • It's not lust to be attracted to someone or notice that he or she is good-looking • It's not lust to have a strong desire to have sex • It's not lust to anticipate and be excited about having sex within marriage • It's not lust when a man or woman becomes turned on without any conscious decision to do so • It's not lust to experience sexual temptation The crucial issue in each of these examples is how we respond to the urges and desires of our sexual drive. Noticing an attractive person is not wrong, but undressing that person with your eyes or imagining what it would be like to "have" them is. A sexual thought that pops into your mind isn't necessarily lust, but it can quicky become list if it is entertained and dwelled on. An excitement for sex in marriage isn't sin, but it can be tainted by lust it it is not tempered with patience and restraint. If you fail to make these distinctions, your fight against lust will be greatly hampered. On the other end, you can wind-up excusing sinful thoughts and actions as " just part of how I'm made," which isn't true at all. On the other, you may end up being ashamed of your sex drive, Which God rightly placed and is very much aware of it. |
most people who masturbate wants to get out of it, this shows it does more harm than good |
nwaezeemmanuel:you're wrong, not neglecting the God factor, the choice of a male or female sex can be calculated, though not 100% but can increase one's chances of getting the desires sex and I think the op made a good analyses of it. |
Nigeria has what it takes to get to the top, but the system is corrupted and I don't see that changing soon. I keep on telling people that our Religion and ethnicity is more of a weakness than strength. |
Zzor:I love this statement. sex is more spiritual than we think |
The term "alpha male" has gotten a bad rap in recent years. Pick-up artists, wannabe tough guys and gym Bros have bastardized the phrase to a point where it seems impossible to agree on what it actually means to be an alpha male. When most people hear the phrase, their mind immediately conjures up images of a ripped body builder with a fat bank account or with a palpable, aura of superiority with a dose of arrogance. Today, more than ever before, the world needs real men. Men who marry the musculine and ferminine energies together in a balanced and effective way. Men who are strong, but kind. Confident, but humble. Assertive, but at times gentle. Powerful, but tempered and calm. Being the alpha male has nothing to do with comparison. It isn't about being the biggest, richest or best looking guy in the room and it has nothing to do with how many women you've slept with, what can you drive or how many inches your organ or biceps are. Being the alpha male is all about being the alpha of your life. It's about leading yourself and those you care about to a bigger and better future. It's about knowing your values, being in integrity with yourself, and dominating your unique part in life. It's important to understand that being a beta male has nothing to do with how "manly" you are or how you stack up against other guys. Just because you are feminine, are emotionally sensitive, are highly expressive, are vulnerable, are intellectual does not mean you are a beta male. Alpha males are leaders of their own lives while beta males follow the crowd. This does not mean that being in a position of leadership or followership automatically makes you an alpha or beta male. Rather, beta males tend to be reactive to the world around them whereas alphas are proactive in creating the life they desire. Beta males have no vision, no values, no purpose and no options if their own. They simply go with the flow, do what they're told, and blindly accept what others say. They don't value themselves enough to take a stand for their own life and bravely change forward toward the life they desire. They lack self-esteem, confidence, and intergrity and because they lack Sense of self worth, will bend over backwards to make others like them and feel "good enough." Betas are, by the very definition, more concerned with the opinions and thought of others than their own. The decision to be an alpha male shouldn't be because it will help you get more money, have more sex or be respected by others but rather to make you be the pioneer of your own life. WHAT SEPARATES THE ALPHAS FROM THE BETAS 1. Alpha males are Assertive, Betas are passive. An alpha male knows what he wants out of himself. He speaks his mind, owns his desires without shame, sets boundaries and speaks up when they are crossed. Betas, on the other hand, are passive. They may know what they want, but lack the backbone to go after it. 2. Alphas are Gentlemen, Betas are "Nice guys" True alphas are kind to others. They are courteous, polite, and considerate. They don't do any of these things because they crave attention or validation or want to be liked by those around them. They do it because it's the right thing to do. Betas are polite, kind, courteous and considerate, But only when they believe there is something to be gained. A beta male is agreeable to a fault. Attempting to get others to like him with " niceness" 3. Alphas trust themselves, Betas look for others for answers. Because alpha males take full ownership of their lives, they tend to develop high degrees of trust in themselves. Betas do not possess this level of self trust. Instead, they seek solace in the advice if others, allowing their family, friends, society and government to tell them how to live. 4. Alphas strive for growth and mastery, Betas accept mediocrity and the status quo. Alphas seek to give their best in every situation. They believe in "having it all" instead of resigning themselves to a life of mediocrity. For Betas, any attempt at excellence is done to earn the approval of others. Not to satisfy themselves and live their life to it's fullest potential. 5. Alphas communicate and persuade with class and respect CONCLUSION Being an alpha male is not about making more money, having more sex or enjoying more prestige, but living more if life. It's about going all out and making your life mean something |
Mercisharelove:That's the devil's most lucrative business, wether is with bots or humans, they always let their urges have the better part of them. self-control remain the key, set boundaries with your friends, their are things one shouldn't tolerate |
Zzor:don't let this forum change the way you see men, it may affect your future relationships. Seeing all men as a threat will always make you to be unnecessarily on the offensive when no harm is intended. guard your mental health! |
bro calm down, their is more competition in the east than in the north, with equal playing ground and without "cut-off mark" discriminations, and maybe with good security not only the east but the whole south will make up majority of northern tertiary institutions. If you will agree with me, cut-off marks for professional courses in the south is always higher than those of the north. If the Southerners should influx the north for education, the north maynot stand a chance. The north go to school, I agree, but the south carry am for head. For politics, the north are in majority, they help themselves and they're not too money conscious than Southerners especially they east, we are always afraid of our neighbor's success. My humble opinion |
- some sold data - Some did part-time at babbling saloons - Some wrote projects for others - Some did part-time doing photocopy, printing and bidding - Some sold fries, writing materials in lecture halls - Some did summeries on hard-outs, text books and sold them - Some bought sachet water in bulk/set and resold - Those who can make cake did, on contract - Some bought tie in bulk and resold ( medical students) - Some gambling ( SMH ) - Some from " my father's brother" , "my sister's husband" , my grandmother's mother, and "my grandfather's father" - Some mended clothes and shoes - Some sold snacks - Some by " abeg you cook?" - Some by " abeg borrow me 1k, I'll pay you next month" - Some by church and fellowship donations But one thing I know, be say hunger no fit kill student, at least not in Nigeria. we're hustlers |
Marriage without sacrifice is dead, sometimes one shifts ground for things to work |
after treatment, go for a lab test to rule out resistive malaria and typhoid. Or you can consult a med doc. Is good to be scared, but don't be too scared, is bad for your mental health |
- It might be something big, it might be something small - Maybe migraine or maybe not - Finish your medication, get your lab test and see what follows - Most of these doctors don't sound convincing, but concerning health, they know more than us - What's your occupation? |
- It's a set-up to dupe you - The guy is using reverse psychology on you - He is manipulating you, using your emotions - It's not always good to be too nice, it makes you vulnerable - You sound desperate, thereby making yourself vulnerable - Since you reside abroad, why don't you spend more time back home, to see how things works out - In Nigeria, the only benefit of being nice is a clear conscience. - Politely withdraw from that toxic, manipulating, one-sided relationship to avoid depression - If you wish to continue, you may regret, thereby having trust issues in your subsequent relationships. - I'm too nice, I'm writing from experience |
Fokosobo:that's not true, it's inbuilt. Apart from a child, when one does what is right, one knows and if you do what is wrong you'll also know without even being told, but it can get to a point where you consistently do what is wrong and your conscience stops pricking you, it still doesn't make it right. I don't think their is need for this thread if masturbation is really healthy, I think the op is looking for ways to convince his mind to agree that masturbation is right. |
I don't believe in this alpha and beta male stuffs, is either one is introverted or extroverted, many think male introverts are simps(if their is anything like that) or beta males, while extroverts are alphas because of the ways they let out their opinions not minding anyone's feelings. These are personalities that are mainly hereditary, with environment also playing a role and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Don't make people force themselves to live a false life, rather a balance should be made |
Most people who masturbate would want to stop, this shows their is something negative or bad it does to them, wether spiritually, socially, emotionally or otherwise. If you masturbate and you don't feel guilty, then their is a problem. |
FatherCHRISTMAS:pls explain further, is their a preferred tutor |
I don't think there's any rule or formula for that, it all boils down to individual personality, just find what works for you, though is not always easy. Self control is always the key |
rasheedatt:op! go with this, especially the first point, have a very close friend you can share almost everything with, whether they're capable of helping you or not, it brings a kind of relief. |
on point! |
[quote author=Pharmmaqp post=94064067]I'm a stutter ... you're very correct, Most stammerers talk slowly |
Olukokosir:exactly, that's what I'm trying to work on, being too anxious and eager to say everything at once. For the opposite sex, the fear of stuttering will even make you stutter ![]() |
Jimbadly:nope, I'm not. moreover I don't need a speech therapist, I have mine under control |
you'll still need to go back to the hospital, and explain more to them, from the time it started, to your symptoms and the lab tests you've carried out |
There are many processes required for blood to be fit for transfusion, and I think that'll cost some money, but the problem will be selling them more costlier than required. I have friends who go to hospitals for blood donations in which they're given 5-7k as compensation, you can now imagine how much is gonna be sold. |
kingsolomonjnr01:I doubt, their are older people who stammer even the more. I can't just explain it, some people stammer more than others, but i think being more outspoken can help one overcome it. |
