I grew up in Festac and still visit there, the town's setting is different from any other part of Lagos, all land and houses are sold by FHA not individuals.
FHA has sold every single flats there to individuals with papers, anyone demolishing buildings there is just being vendetta.
Except they're referring to the new areas like 6 Avenue or Abule-Ado popularly refers to as Festac extension.

Those properties in 6th Avenue, Festac extension, and co were not part of the master plan.

Festac was/is a very planned area. I enjoyed my years living there.
