Politics › Re: 2023: South-East Won’t Accept VP Slot, Igbo Leaders Warn by CoolAmbience(m): 2:30pm On Jan 23, 2022
Reference:
Well the South-South got it despite the Niger-Delta challenges and the north (east to west) isn't peaceful either but it does not stop their push for power. So to say leaders of eastern extraction should first handle local difficulties of national origin before aspiring for the leadership of this country is a bit disingenuous.

The North has led this nation proportionately more than the South and through all its challenges producing some decent leaders and some very ugly ones. It never shies away from power at the scent of it.
Tell me a region in Nigeria that has allowed a couple of miscreants, in the guise of self determination, to shut down economic activities, thereby plunging women and children, in their thousands, into unwarranted hunger?

Please, do not compare this to the militancy in the South-south... the militants didn't go about maiming people, in the towns, for flouting their orders, including maiming artisans and burning commercial motorcycles.

The worse of it is the glaring capitulation by the governments of the region. You see government officials unbranding and masking their vehicles in fear....no clear action to fix the situation, and restore the people's freedom and livelihoods.

All over the North East....Yobe, Adamawa, Borno.... thousands of formerly displaced persons have returned...and many are still returning to their homes and farmers.

You see Gov. Zulum boosting the people's confidence, even in the face of the challenges.

Do you hear of Ebubeagu anymore? You can't allow IPOB to call the shot in your region, and expect people to entrust the presidency of the country in your hands. Did Sunday Igboho shut down the economy of the South-west? Tompolo and Asari never tried that in the South-south..

Mind you the South-south got the Presidency by providence...not preparation. And we all saw how it ended. Preparation is necessary even with providence. Both are important.

Take your time and study politicians from the North and South west....you will see a deliberate effort at building capacity and sustaining dominance in the national polity....you see the Tinubus, Osinbajos, Fasholas, Fayemis...with real national influence.

Where are the governors of the SE who governed at the same time as Tinubu? We still have so much to understand about leadership in the South-east and South-south....so much!

I have always said this and I will say it again...
GEJ can never become the president of Nigeria again in his lifetime...

Not for any reason other than the fact that he has just 4yrs...
Even if the north plots to use him for four years so that they can get back in power quickly...the south will blatantly say NO..

Any presidential candidate of the south south ,south west or south east will always want to use their 8yrs completely....

Nobody want a candidate with a four year tag on his head ..
4-year tag or 100-year tag. Jonathan can't govern Nigeria again.

He is incompetent. Forget all the media hogwash, no Northerner will support Jonathan into power again.

The media guys must write. It is their job. They have bills to pay.

This whole presidency thing will begin to take real shape after APC convention.

The few certainties, for now, are that the next president will come from APC (not with projects such as the Second Niger Bridge, Ibadan-Kano Railway etc, already completed and commissioned), and Buhari will play a huge role in who becomes the next president.

The person wey go be the next president just dey look us dey smile...I think I know the person sha...e dey the current government.

When Peter Obi and the likes are already positioning themselves for the VP slot?
Give them VP slot for what?

Maybe, they are referring to the PDP.

'cos in the APC, the SE does not deserve the VP slot.

If the Presidency or Vice Presidency is to come to Southern Nigeria, the Yorubas should take it.

I am Igbo, but Ndigbo are not prepared for national leadership.

Imagine, common IPOB shutting down the entire economy of our region...where is the region's leadership?

Umahi wants to be president. Isn't that laughable? What is Moghalu's firm position on IPOB? What about the elusive Anyim?

How would all these 'mediocres' solve serious national challenges such as infrastructural deficit, unemployment, banditry, insurgency, dwindling income etc, when all they could do is keep mum on the activities of IPOB?

IPOB kept people in their homes for four whole days without any action from the state governments....this is shameful!

No Igbo man should talk about Presidency for now. We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Not even in Borno did it happen, even in the heat of insurgency.

Obasanjo the most useless father of them all...

1. Withheld Lagos funds
2. Did nothing about Lagos Ibadan Expressway, while Buhari is almost completing the project
3. Did nothing about Lagos Ibadan railway , but Buhari started work on it 2017 and completed it 2020, (a space of three years)
4. Did nothing about Apapa -Oshodi- Ojota Expressway, Buhari almost completing it with PPP arrangement
5. PDP commission Second Niger Bridge on paper, But Buhari came and the bridge is almost completed
6 . Sixteen years in power, PIB was not passed by useless PDP, Buhari did wonders with it. .it is now law.
7. East West road was abandoned by PDP after stealing #200billion, Buhari is now completing the road
8. Enugu-Ontisha abandoned by this idiotic PDP , Buhari is now completing it with Sukuk Bond
9. Warri- Itakpe abandoned by this motherfucker PDP, Buhari completed it.
People will avoid your post like a plague 'cos you spoke the truth.

Na dem sabi sha...Buhari, as far as I am concerned, is the best thing that has happened to Nigeria, at least over the past three decades.

I am also from Anambra state, Aguata LGA to be precise. I can categorically say you know little or nothing about Peter Obi and his achievements.
Hatred and Sentiment have probably blinded your short sighted eyes.
You are from Aguata....for real? In what state did Peter Obi leave roads in your LGA after 8 years....I mean roads across Uga, Isuofia, Ekwuluobia....to other connecting towns such as Igbo Ukwu, Awka Etiti, Ichida, Nanka etc .

Do you not know that virtually all roads constructed under Peter Obi have gone terribly bad?

Have you travelled through Amaokpala, Awgbu and Umuawulu to Awka?...and across different other parts of the state to Onitsha?

Who spends such huge amounts of money on roads only to have them ridden with potholes in less than 8 years?

Did he keep Anambra's fund, amounting to several billions, in his Fidelity Bank or not? Is that what a good leader should do? Does this not amount to breach of public trust and a conflict of interests? See...these seemingly little things matter so much in leadership.

Leadership is about trust, verifiable track records, strength of character and consistency of standards. We are talking of the presidency of one of the world's most multiethnic and multicultural sovereignties....and not that of a Town Union.

People only talk about religion and tribe for a sense of belonging and equity for all groups....not in the sense of quality leadership.

Abeg, leave Peter Obi matter..look for another person.

Peter Obi is smarter than the smartest man ever in your entire generation.
Do you think everyone comes from a shitty family as yours?

He is so smart yet couldn't leave a legacy as Anambra governor.... not one.

Not even someone with just First School Leaving Certificate as governor would save billions of his state's fund in a financial institution in which he has significant stake...that is your model of a smart person....mumu!

I am from Anambra state....and I make bold to say that anyone who gets elected as governor rode on the people's respect for the memories of the late Ikemba, to do so.

Obi didn't become governor on merit. What are his antecedents?

He is the smartest person on Earth...let him declare and vie for office of President and let's see if can win his Anaocha LGA.

That's Africa for you. The man who get rich without any traceable history or source as to how, is deemed the smartest...
