A prophecy is a revelation if what would happen in the future.
For example the Jews existing during Jesus life on earth didn't know about Jesus before he came. Some started believing when they saw the sign. Isaiah believe God would send the Messiah but he never knew the Messiah himself. |

tctrills: Great and thank you Cornelboy take note Abraham was looking forward to Jesus's coming just like Isaiah and the nation of Israel were looking forward to his coming. At 1 Corinthians 10:1-4, Paul was comparing the rock Moses and the people drank from to Christ who's the source of living water. The people were baptized unto Moses at the rest sea just like Paul and the others were baptized unto Christ. Christ ain't literally that rock. |

tctrills: John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Oga, not my opinion. Some of us read the bible. The only purpose of the new testament was to make us believe in him. Comot jàre. We were talking about David and Isaiah. They didn't know Christ. They only heard of him through prophecy. Nobody knew Christ before he came to the world. We were able to know Christ today because he has come and his accounts were written in the four gospel books. David and Isaiah didn't know Christ like I do today. |

They wrote about him, what more should they have done to convince you that they know him even more than you do? Obviously David and Isaiah didn't know Jesus more than I do. I have access to the accounts written about him. They don't. In fact, all they know is just the little prophecy God gave them about him. |

RoyalDiadems: It seems you're a baby Christian. To be born again is to be saved. There's no separating between the two. To be baptised in the Holy Spirit is to be endued with power to walk the earth like Jesus did. The Lord Jesus never said the baptism of the Holy Spirit makes one born again, instead He said it fills one with power - Acts 1:8. If you're not born again, you cannot be baptised in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit Baptism is only for the saved. Being saved is different from being born again. Born again means born of the spirit not saved. Your saved when you hear the word and believed Roman 10:9&10. Your now qualified to be born of the spirit through the holy spirit. Your an adult Christian? Wetin I know, you no know ⅒. |

RoyalDiadems: God's kingdom is within us. It's here on Earth - Luke 21:17. Jesus promised Paradise to the thief - that's the kingdom of heaven. God's kingdom is same as kingdom of heaven and the kingdom will come to earth in the future to establish God's rule on earth. Paradise is new world free of evil, death, struggle, pain, sickness, tears etc. The thief doesn't have what it takes to enter the kingdom of heaven, he wasn't born again. |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Does It Really Mean To Be Born Again? by cornelboy(f): 7:24pm On May 08, 2022 |
RoyalDiadems: Perhaps you didn't read me well enough. You hear, you believe, and confess Christ as Lord, then, you're saved. You're born again. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit comes by the laying on of hands. It is a promise of God to those who are saved. It you're saved, I can lay hands on you to receive the baptism. But if you're not born again, that is not saved, you have no portion in these things. You got all wrong. The apostles were already saved (already believed) before they got the holy spirit. If you said they were already born again before the day of Pentecost, how did it happen because without the holy spirit, you can't be born again according to Jesus's explanation at John 3. |

RoyalDiadems: It is heretic to say that the disciples weren't born again. To be born again is to be saved. You're saying they weren't saved. That's heresy. Lol. The 120 became born again after getting baptized at the upper room. They were already saved because they've believed. Only the saved (those that have believed according to Roman 10:9&10) are qualified to be born again i.e born of the Spirit through the holy spirit. I don't what heresy you were talking about |

BSdetective: Why doesn't God just create the righteous alone instead of creating the righteous and evil together then doing some twisted audition for who wins a ticket to the new world and who ends up in hell. No one will end in hellfire bro. Hell fire was invented by Roman Catholic church to coerce people into converting to Christianity. God never said that he created hellfire or he would burn people in hell. God directly created just one man, Adam. He was living a perfect life in the garden before Satan tricked him and he sinned. He was meant to live forever initially. Like God created everything to be perfect. Satan is our greatest enemy. He disrupt everything. God has promised to restore everything according to his plan from the beginning. He will destroy Satan and wicked people in the future and the world will become peaceful once again. The big thing is, the righteous will live on the new world forever |

tctrills: 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Question; Explain this verse... Revelation 20:10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. The book of shouldn't be taken as literal at all. What do you think the false prophet and the beast symbolise? Or you think they are literal? Chapter 14 should help you understand that lake of fire symbolises eternal destruction. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Question; What is death and what is hell? Death is abstract just like hell. Hell in some Bible was translated "realm of the dead". |

God is doing everything to restore peace to earth. In the new world, there won't be any form of evil, sickness, pain, struggle and death.
The righteous then will all live in abundance of peace.
God never intended to create the world the way it's today. May you have peace bro. |

tctrills: You cant make prophecies unless it is revealed. Jesus was revealed to them of old just as he is revealed to us. Also note, that Isaiah called him God, and father. David called him Lord, and Daniel called him the Son of God. He meant more than a guardian angel. He was their Lord, God, and son of God. If David did not know him, he would never call him his Lord. Jesus was his Lord Just as he is your Lord. The prophecy was revealed to Isaiah and David. It didn't happen in their time. Isaiah knew someone is coming according to the prophecy but he obviously didn't know Jesus. Jesus became known by people when he became human. The Jews didn't even believe. I think we've had this conversation before. I don't wanna do it again. |

what joy is God the all merciful, all loving (as he's been described) will drive out of the eternal torment of people in the Hellfire?
Is there really an oita of love in a father who can subject his child to this kind of punishment?
Why am i going to be punished for eternity for the wrongdoing I have done in the place I didnt concent for?

The body is just a cloth covering the spirit. And He has told you that what we call die is "sleeping" aka Rest, certainly not for the cloth we see which has turned to dust. Therefore, Resurrection is about awakening of the spirit. Therefore, it is the spirit, who ye are that will be destroyed in the lake of fire. However, by the Ezekiel's dry bones, it may well be a resurrection of both the body and spirit and both would be thrown into the lake of Fire whole. I Don't know about this part and would not speak on it since The Lord did not Speak on this part. You no even sure of yourself you dé talk say we dé twist. |

To Isaiah; For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Daniel 3:25; He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
To the faithful in times of old, Jesus Christ was known and he meant the very same as he means to the faithful today. He was their salvation just as he is our salvation. They Knew him and worshiped him and made sacrifices to him. He was a powerful guardian angel to the Israelites. They don't even know him. The Isaiah and Psalm verses are prophecies about Jesus. |

4tomandchi: Jesus Christ says in Matthew 25:41, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels." In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
The big question here is Did God Really Create Hell Fire?
As we are meant to understand everything originated from God the Devil was created as Lucifer. Everything was good. So where did evil emanated from? Did God created Hell? Is Hell part of God's architecture or it exist in another realm? Will all souls in Hell be saved at last?
Please if you are led by the spirit give us some insight. Not all souls will be saved. Hell simply means the grave. According to Jesus's word at John 5:28&29, some will be raised from dead and live forever on earth while the others will be destroyed. Fire in biblical sense symbolises destruction. Fire consumes anything it contacts. So for the people that would be thrown into the fire, it means they would be destroyed forever. They'll cease to exist and never live again. There's no where in the Bible you would see "Hellfire" or "hell fire". |

Dtruthspeaker: That is what God clearly Said.. Lake of Fire is His Incinerator which destroys his creations, like our own which destroys our creations. Let's me assume that it illustrates an incinerator with literal fire, and according to the chapter, those wicked people that were cast into the lake of fire were first raised to life which means it's their body that will be cast into the fire. Wouldn't the fire consume them completely just in some hours? Of course even their bones would in no time turn to charcoal. |

Revelations 20:14 So according to Jesus in that chapter the first death was temporary as all worthy victims who experienced this first death whether through oldage, murder, drowning, eating by wild beasts or sea creatures, they will all be recovered. Revelations 20:13 But then both dying and burying will be scrapped before God Himself destroy those who are not found worthy of eternal life among resurrected ones so Jesus explained that this one is the second death where there is no return!
