Thanks for your post & explantions. But, what I understand in 1John 2:22-24 is that a LIAR is one who denies Jesus Christ & His Father; so, is Revelation 21:8 referring to normal liars (dishonest or deceitful people) or those who deny Jesus Christ and his father or both?

The scripture above clearly shows that Jacob lied to his Father to receive the blessing that was meant for his brother. And according to the scripture below, all liars would perish in the lake of fire!

seriallink: However, while reading the Bible I came accross the passages written below, giving another definition to who a liar is. My question now is, which of these liars is Revelation 21:8 referring to? Is it Jacob who lied to his Father to receive his brother's blessing (Genesis 27:19) or the unbelievers who deny Jesus & His Father as clearly stated in the passages below (1John 2:22-24)?

1John 2:22-24 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers"

So here we see that the writer condemns homosexuality along with other sins like murder, kidnapping,lying and perjury. So according to this verse,a lying pastor would be in the same category as a homosexual sinner.

Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

We see in this verse that Yahweh is actually the one who gave people over to degrading passions. Very interesting indeed.
So god makes people do bad things, and then he and some lame brains calling themselves christians, then condemn the people as sinners.

Yahweh and his lame brain followers seem to have bi-polar personalities.

A question for you, would you murder for god? No cop out god will never ask me to that, he already has (though he seems to have abrogated those laws, yet you still feel the need to cherry pick). So if you got all the 'signs' strongly indicating god wanted you to murder, would you do it?
