NYSCRe: Fake Corper To Serve In Prison by CrazyMan(mod): 3:28pm On Jul 05, 2013
kingthreat: For just 19,000. Abeg, make they pity the guy. Na poverty cause am.
He didn't do it for the money; he wasn't mobilized by his institution, he doesn't have a call-up number, he didn't partake in the registration process..etc so there's no way he would be paid 19,800 federal allowee.

I believe he did it in order to obtain a fake certificate, as a proof to show his family members or parents that he actually served.

Its a pity he was posted to the prison for PPA...let's hope he re-deploys grin

bfmconcepts: As much as I will seriously condemn the action of the military personnel, which is likely borne out of provocation
we should not ignore the rude attitude of the girl.
How dare you tell an army captain that 'can you push you sister like that?' it's rude. very rude
This is just a lesson that no matter how beautiful or powerful you are, swallow your pride when you see a stronger power.
I pray for her healing and relocation of whatever has been dislocated in her joints in Jesus name.
Well said...most girls’ mouths are faster than their brains; and in most cases they end up paying for their stupidity.

See her lying helpless on her sick bed; crying for justice that she would never get.
Do you think the officer would be jailed, I bet he's a free man going about his usual duties in camp. So tell me, who's the fool?
NYSCRe: Woman Crippled By NYSC Camp Commandant by CrazyMan(mod): 4:49pm On Jul 04, 2013
When your camp commandant tells you to go inside, you do…why should you argue with a military captain?

It was very foolish of her to talk back at him in the presence of his subordinates

What did she hope to achieve by doing this?

Soldiers are naturally proud, and if you try to insult them publicly, they would deal mercilessly with you.
NYSCRe: Should NYSC Be Scrapped? by CrazyMan(mod):
ekwah: All these peeps who just jump into the bandwagon chanting scrap it! scrap it! sef. Can you please elaborate on the exact things about the NYSC that would support your stance?? I know that the program isn't perfect but it has done alot more good than harm in my opinion.
I feel like given you a reply just for the fun of it.

ekwah: 1)Whether you like it or not, the NYSC program has helped promote national integration. This is one of the rare schemes in this country through which people from different regions get to intermingle/plan for a common goal in the real world.
Wake up from your slumber will you...

ekwah: 2) It keeps youths busy... you wouldn't have to go back straight home after school to begin to hustle for a job and probably spend one or two years at home in the process... u can hustle for good things while u serve in my opinion.
Busy doing what exactly...wasting away in a remote primary school in an environment that has no electricity, no roads, no portable drinking water...Etc. Busy doing what I ask again?

ekwah: 3) I see the one year gap spent doing this program as an opportunity for people to re-organize their goals or plans for the future, while earning something to grease their palms as they do so.
And how many of the youths so far have been able to re-organize their goals in this terrible state the country is in?

The unemployment rate in the country is still as high as ever so what goals are they re-organizing?

ekwah: 4) NYSC is fun; you meet people, build useful connections (if you no be dull-baby), meet life-partners ( tongue), and so on and so forth.
Your university is fun as well…I’m sure you made lots of male and female friends…as for the connections, less than 5% are likely to benefit from that, so you can’t include it in your argument.

ekwah: Yeah people have died because of this scheme. It's sad, but I won't call for the program to be scrapped because of this sole reason.
You obviously haven't served, and you haven't lost a dear one in service.

ekwah: Like I said earlier, I want to know the real reasons why some people want this fun thingy to be scrapped. Saying the aim of the scheme has failed doesn't mean anything to me jor. undecided
Let me ask you some questions.

1. After service apart from your certificate what else does the government you wasted one year serving give you in return?

2. If par-venture you die in service, would you be recognized as a national hero who died serving his nation?

3. If you have an accident during service, and become an amputee, do you think the government would care?

Truth is they don't care about you, so why should you care about serving them?

NYSCRe: Should NYSC Be Scrapped? by CrazyMan(mod):
Jarus: No
Why?

Don't you feel its lost its value, and have become an avenue for its officials to embezzle funds?

A corper receives 19,800 as federal allowee, in most cases that of the state isn't constant.

The camps are terrible...poor toilet, bathroom, hostel, the foods are terrible, most times you wouldn't be offered accommodation for your PPA, meaning you would have to use your money to rent one despite the fact that you're serving your country.

Wouldn't it be wise if the government adds up this expenses and pay it as cash to graduates rather than torturing them under the guise of serving their father land?
PoliticsRe: Civilian JTF, Boko-Haram In Gun Duel by CrazyMan(m): 10:02am On Jul 04, 2013
I thought they were fighting with sticks, bottles cutlass...etc.

They now have guns?

So what happens after boko haram is defeated, would they (civilian JTF) hand over the guns to the JTF or will they keep it for themselves, divide into various sects for personal interests, and become the same terror they fought so hard to destroy...

What are these people saying...if you want to encourage people to patronize your luxury buses, you can do so without having to stoop so low to lie to the public...onitsha/awka/enugu express way has been under construction since 1999 and up till now its still under construction...who are they fooling?

There are still death spots on that road...
NYSCRe: JNI Wants Separate Camp For Male And Female Corpers by CrazyMan(mod): 5:56pm On Jul 03, 2013
EyesWideOpen: Kidding you? What's bad about their demand?
Everything is bad about it.

Its wrong for a religious group to enforce their religious beliefs on law abiding citizens. Nigeria has a constitution, and we as citizens are to abide by that constitution...religion on the other hand is a sacred practice. Leaders are meant to observe their worship in places reserved for them, once they're out of those places, they must abide by the law of the nation.

Is appalling when religious leaders dabble into politics and try to enforce their religious beliefs on people, Its totally wrong, if you want your nation to progress, leave religion out of it and abide by the laws of the nation.
FoodRe: How To Detect Quality Garri by CrazyMan(m): 2:59pm On Jul 03, 2013
splashbaby: Detecting quality Garri has become a daunting task as many fake products now flood the market. One easy test to know one is when trying to make Eba...I discovered this recent, the Garri refuse to sink-in the steaming hot water Imagine oo, I have to use the stick to flog the garri to take its rightful place in the water..while rushing and "smash" some more garri to fill up the water. na battle. But we used to sprinkle the garri and watch it set before now.. abi I don loose my Eba making skills?
Try putting the garri first into a bowl before pouring hot water into it…and I can assure you that you wouldn't experience this regardless of the quality of the garri.

daddington: who are the moderators on this nairaland forum? @ThoniaSlim, i got so annoyed with her attitude in oyo state nysc camp (iseyin). Because i expressed my dismay about her and my post got hidden. Well, suit yourselves ok. 08034372988, 07088405510. Thanx
You acted childish by telling her to burn in hell that’s why your post was hidden…

You claim she’s like a baby sister to you...you can’t bring yourself down to her. Yet your post is filled with bitterness and hatred…if she truly is like a baby sister to you, prove it by refraining from this unnecessary argument.

You can always express yourself constructively and not childishly...Personal insults and unnecessary outburst wouldn’t be tolerated here, as such posts would be hidden.

Thanks for your understaning.

And what’s with the number you put up there, do you still wish she calls you so you can hear her voice…lol I admire your fighting spirit...she truly is a beauty to behold. cheesy

@ daddington
ThoniaSlim is right, its not compulsory to hang out with you…if you say hi to a lady and she shows little or no interest, just let her be cos you would end up being regarded a pest if you keep forcing yourself on her.

The NYSC camp is large and there are about 11 platoons with above 3000 corpers. Make your choice bro and stop taking this ish personal.

@ThoniSlim, do you still remember my user name by any chance…I don’t mean on this section…I bet you don’t.

PoliticsRe: PDP Vows To Regain Dominance In Osun And Ekiti by CrazyMan(m): 1:03pm On Jul 02, 2013
It’s appalling that the PDP who should be more concerned about the current state of insecurity, power, bad roads, poor infrastructure…etc in the nation are greedily looking for more states to acquire.

The PDP has made it clear to Nigerians that they are only interested in controlling the 36 states and not developing this country. The current state of the nation means nothing to them as long as they control it, they’re ok.

I would therefore enjoin us Nigerians to get rid of that cankerworm called PDP come 2015.

If we want this nation to begin its march towards development, we should elect men of integrity, men who are ready to abide by the laws of the nation and not that of their party.
