Please I am not trying to poison anybody's heart. It is good to fall in love and marry the right partner. I tell you most solemnly, until things get bad, you will never know the real attitude of your partner.
I remember when I lost my job and things became so bad that I planned to kill my self on a certain day, what stopped me from committing suicide was I fell into a deep sleep that I didn't wake up till the next day at around 8am. On waking up i relaized that God did something to me that i couldn't explain till today and the thought of suicide vanished.
Back to my topic, there was a day during my times of trial and hardship that my wife told me she wanted to go and visit her male friend in his house, I stopped her by saying why will a married woman do that and you even have the guts to tell me. It ended in a fight, anytime we have any slight quarrel, she will pack her things and leave to her mum's place and the family always support her actions without knowing from me what happened.
There was a time when our child was just barely few months old, i left the house for an interview, i trecked about 3km to the venue, she left him at home and went to only God knows where, only for her to call me that she has left the house and my son for me, that i should get home before he wakes up from sleep, i couldn't wait for the interview to get to my turn, i begged a random person on the road and he gave me #1,000 that was after i begged more than ten different people with other refusing to answer me not to talk of helping. I ran home and thank God i met him just waking up. I took him back to the interview and a kind lady helped me with him until it got to my turn and i finished and went back home.
In the night at about 7pm while i was preparing to bath him, she entered the house and carried him to bath him, i didn't utter a word and i forgave her.
Guys, you need to see how thin i became during those trials, no single food to eat. I became a shadow of myself, i became so shy of walking in public because of how frustrated i became. I have many experiences but i rest my case here.
The sad reality right now is that we are still married, while the good is that things have improved 10times better than it has ever been but i've placed her where she belongs. The only thing stopping me from divorce is what people will say and my image. Do you know that honestly she hasn't learnt her lessons as she is still a problem to me, always nagging and i don't have peace in my own house.
Right now i'm on the process of divorce and i'm building resistance to whatever people will say.

1. Gambling: In times of economic hardship, people often look for soft landings to raise extra income. On the surface, gambling appears harmless. It comes in the form of Lotto, sport betting, cards, dice throwing, virtual games etc. The bottom line is, the operators are way smarter. Success rate is below 1 %. That is relying on blind chance.
2. Getting rich at all cost: Most young people, especially teenagers have been lured into the luxurious lifestyle of the wealthy. They speedily embrace the so-called Yahoo yahoo and Yahoo plus plus. To suppress the guilty conscience many have delved into the use of narcotics and alcohol. It is obvious that ill gotten wealth is destructive irrespective of the glamour that comes with it.
3. Unwholesome sexual practices: Today's world can be liken to the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah. People have continued to experiment on ways of satisfying their sexual appetites. These destructive sexual practices include sex with minors, incest, gayism, lesbianism, group sex, masturbation and so on.
4. Drug abuse: People are often looking for ways to get high, while forgetting they can never be like the Most High irrespective of the drugs they consume. The effect of drugs like Colorado, mkpuru MIRI and a host of others are clear reasons why you must stay away from drugs.
5. Alcohol Abuse: This is also related to drug abuse. Excessive alcoholic consumption has lasting damaging effects. Either you drink in moderation or stay away from it completely.
6. Excessive Partying: 2021 witnessed so many partying. These included those that were carried over from 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions. Despite the huge economic depression, people still organised lavish parties, mainly using borrowed funds and hoping on politicians and Yahoo boys to spray them money. If you must party in 2022, cut down your budget and stick to the essentials only. If it is not possible to honour all the invitation, simply tell him. You can't kill yourself over other people's parties.
7. Over spending: With the advent of the Yahoo yahoo revolution, people are beginning to emulate their lavish and ostentatious lifestyles. Everyone wants to wear designer's clothes, shoes and bags. Some Even borrow to acquire this. That must end with 2021. Stop borrowing. Instead carefully plan your income and ensure you save a little.
8. Lack of investment: With 2022 approaching, you must resolve to save in order to invest. Investment can be in the form of buying shares, bitcoins, or setting up a small business. Point is, think of ways of earning extra legitimate income, outside your current earnings.
9. Business without morality: 2021 witnessed a huge hike in prices of all commodities, including satchet water. Middlemen and retailers have often been fingered for these abnormal increases. This nonsense must end with 2021. The world is groaning under a pandemic. Businesses are getting shut down. We shouldn't allow our greed for excessive wealth to make us lose our humanity.
10. Running away from God. Most of our problems can be solved if we get closer to God. But people have so much alienated themselves from God due to their lifestyles and excessive crave for wealth. The world is currently battling a pandemic. These are signs of the end time or last days. More reason why we should get closer to God.

If you remember in my previous post on my resigning from my place of work and focus on my bike full time, I wrote to the school management informing them that I will not continue with them since they don't buy the idea of combining their work and my bike.
So some weeks ago, they asked that I leave their apartment on or before 21st December.
After some days, they called to ask if I had left, to which I told them I have not gotten a place yet.
So they extended to today being Friday, 24th.
This evening, the owner of the school (an elderly man) came to the apartment to throw my stuffs out that I must leave their school since they didn't sack me. That I choose to resign.
I explained to him that I have not been able to get a place.
When I now told him I needed him to pay me for December so I could add to my money and get a place.
Na there the man flare up, rushed inside the apartment and started throwing my shoes away and as if that wasn't enough he rushed out and went to the metal pole used to hold the car wheel used as bell and rushed towards me and hit my leg with it. I thought this man was joking, he targeted my head and missed.
Immediately I felt my colleague held the rod, I looked at my leg and saw blood gushing out.
I am contemplating reporting to the police with the injury.
But I still want seek counsel from you guys whether it's wise doing that.

I just regret not video recording it. That would have been a stronger proof.

Richdoh: I'm a young hard work guy who's planning to settle down someday. I have a girlfriend whom I have gone to see her family with my own family , as in, we have done our introduction, what was remaining was for us to fix a date for our wedding.
But this girl started showing some nasty attitude. There was a day she came to spend weekend with me and I gave her some money to buy some food stuffs to cook, that day i received the greatest shocke of my life , my fiancee warmed me never to send her message like that again that she is not my slave.
As if that was not enough. Another day she came to spend some days with me but when she got to my house I was not at home that day. She went to the bathroom to get some shower but unfortunately there was no water running in the bathroom because we didn't had light for 2days so we couldn't pump water. Normally when there's no water like that we usually fetch from the next compound. Though I live in a room and parlour self contain with water running in my kitchen and bathroom.
To cut the long story short, my fiancee refused to fetch water for herself to take her shower. She had to call me on phone to come home and fetch water for her to take her shower. When I eventually got home at late hour, I took the bucket went to fetch water for her to bath just for peace to rain. I later asked her why she had to call me to come and fetch water for her to bath knowing fully well that I was not around. She said in her house, she does not fetch water that her dad usually call Aboki's and buy water from them. She told me that she can't leave a suffering life of having to fetch water, she can never do it.
Please nairalander is this a good sign or bad sign to watch out for?
Be thankful she showed you a red flag. Quietly walk away if you love your life. Don't ever assume she may change. Be warned!

I have been having issues with my wife after our first born, we married about 3 years ago, our first born is now about 2 years old, we have been having series of issues In the marriage, my wife argues with me a lot on flimsy issues at times, we do not have constant sex, although I started helping more in the house,I cook and and I do the laundry , and asked her to give me my share of the work, when she complained about work load,I am the only one really working now, and paying 98 percent of the bills.
I told my wife that I will like us to be eating together on the same plate to improve closeness, she refused, she sees arguement as normal discussion, sometimes we have sex once or twice in a month, I have told her I will like us all to attend the same church and pray together, but she still attends her Nigerian church online , where they are always seeing vision , and I do not like her attending that church.she also attends online services of my church with me, but I would like us to be attending one church even if it is not my church. I asked her recently that we need to be praying together for our marriage even if it is 10 minutes every day, after weeks of no response from her,I approached her yesterday and scolded her about it, she cried and I comforted her, I later asked her at night to come for the prayer,and she said she is not coming. We live abroad and my mum wants to pay us a visit, She told me the kitchen is her's and my mum should not enter the kitchen, and I told her that it will be difficult, we can pre cook all our food, But she might need to make tea and I will like her to be able to do that by her self , but my wife refused. In her church she is attending they already branded. My mother a witch. Even if my mother is a witch, we only need to pray against it, should we humiliate her when she visits us? The ethanol pays 90k with overtime can take it to like 130k, there's is pension scheme, HMO, 1month leave with allowance buh you will be allowed to go for 2weeks and sell the remaining 2weeks,13th month salary....Just that the environment is very toxic and there's no job security at all,the work pressure is so high, there's is yearly salary increment
Considering the toxic environment and job insecurity, I will strongly advice you go for the filling station job, add both jobs to your next CV I am not in doubt you will clique a more juicy job in the nearest future. All the best!

So,I was sacked by the ethanol refinery due to something I know nothing about and I am presently working as a petrol station manager which I worked 2-days on and 2days off shift and earning a salary of 90k. Now ,the ethanol refinery just called me that they still need my service and the work routine is 2days morning,2days night and 2days off... I am to make the decision between now and monday.... Honestly speaking am really worried, have dated my fiance for sometime now. So we finally decided to tie the knot. She suggested we do it this year November and I concurred, so we've been saving towards it ever since.
Last 2 months I made my intentions known to her family, that I will like to marry their daughter. Due to the conversations I had With her parents, I told them I wanted it small.. because am not financialy buoyant.
But To my surprise, her dad said I shouldn't worry about it, they are going to support me ( which is most likely Normal)

The following week, the hall she choosed for the reception of the white wedding, has already been paid for by her dad which was about 500k excluding the decorations which they also took care of ( even though I opted we could have done the reception in the church)
But my fiancee told me her dad is inviting alot of well-wishers home and abroad to come celebrate with us.both his fellow staffs and all.

* We sorted things out (invitation cards, pre shoot photos)
But was surprised 2 days to the traditional marriage, more expensive drinks were rolling in.
On the d day of the white wedding, I realised, they cooked more than 8 bags of rice ( coconut, jollof, banga and fried) meats were surplused. Alot of people came from her family's, while my own families were just there.. they did get the message.
