Obi and Ilozumba served the interest of the Catholic Church through secret/open donations. The Catholic Church will really miss his supports without which many retreat centres would not have been built in such a record time.
Mr Obi deserves the awards from his Holiness for his generosity and ensuring that catholics occupied every important position in the state government..

NB, I didn't support his stealing and using Government money for secret donations to the Church . It is obvious that since he left office his donations has declined
I didn't also support the undeserved promotions given to some incompetent persons in the Ministries just because they are Catholics. I am sure Fr. Mbaka and other honest priests we look up to will never support that

Obiano is too intelligent to be caught making statements like this at this point in time
Even if the statement is the fact, we got to select the words we use.
Now, instead of such statements in the public domain why don't we increase the appeals on the President to do something about the Federal roads(this is dry season) in the SouthEast, Why don't we make a bargain for our votes with more Federal presence in the region.

But till tomorrow Aba is better than Osha, yes Aba is having flood problem while generally your Osha lack inner street roads and city plan. 90% of roads and streets in Aba main are tarred while 70% of roads and streets in Osha are not tarred. Osha has poor design of house as compare to Aba and also dirty as compare to Aba, can we prove ourselves right/wrong by posting pictures of the 2cities?
The town planning at Aba is superb but the neglect of that city is unimaginable. A look at the Street maps done under colonial administration showed it was far more planned than Onitsha no doubt. Most of the Streets at Aba are wide, long, and ran in neat parallels.
I don't understand what you mean by poor design of house. Are you saying Aba has finer houses than Onitsha? I beg to differ
Beyond Ngwa road, right hand side Ama mmuonwu are plenty buildings not fit for human. Aba is dirtier in all ramifications

Local govt road project in Ozubulu!. You can see the humble chairman of Ekwusigo lga in the pictures below!
Please who is the Chairman of Ekwusigo lga?
This is what am talking about, We are not demanding so much from these men by asking that Lga Chairmen should at least grade the unmotorable roads in their areas pending when the State Govt is ready to work on them

Pictures of mega projects may not be here because he awarded such projects only months to his leaving office. He tarred rural roads, at least one in each town, do we that in Abia State
If you had said in terms of stealing who was better I will understand because both are IGR thiefs, have clouts of praise singers, love to be seen as saviour, love to hang around GEJ provided they are not probed, both are champions of substandard projects, both are very ambitious should they have their ways, they will dislodge Mr President from Aso Rock and claim it for themselves
And finally, both would like to be a Senator

Please the attention of the Governor should be drawn to the need to charge the Local Government Chairmen to start working. For sometime now I have observed they are still in the jamboree mode

Pls Can we appraise them on that thread
Politics / Anambra Local Government Chairmen Should Wake Up by Cuche: 8:57am On Dec 04, 2014
Now that Anambra State has elected LG chairmen, I see no reason why up till this moment we are yet to feel their impact. The election winning jamboree should have ended and one expects them to complement the efforts of the State Government. But instead, most are busy trying to out-do each other with placing of large bill boards of their faces and that of the Governor.
I think basically most of these Chairmen have failed to grasp the responbilities attached to their position apart from the administrative jobs at the LG HQs. Why are there little or no activities at the Primary Health Centres, Sport centres/fields, grading of rural roads, skill acquisition centres, scholarships for indigent students or call it bursary, projects in primary schools, etc.
At a time when it appears the State Governor is working round the clock to tackle all the challenges facing the State. LG Chairmen should settle to business and find out what their jobs are. They should give no room for some to have a strong case for the abrogation of the LG system. I for one believe there should be an elected LG administration in states

For over 12 years Anambra was without LG elected Chairmen. It was very clear that both Ngige and Obi were reluctant to have them around, maybe they had considered them a waste of public funds because of the experience of the 1999-2002 regime, where with the exception of one Ndubuisi Nwobu and three others, the rests cannot point to a single project of theirs in a 3 years spree

The Governor should call these men to duty luckily they all are in the same party

See every1 here is complaining about IDC, I also dislike the works they do and wish better construction coys will be given those jobs in Anambra State.

It is a known fact that IDC gets 70% of all the construction works in Anambra State. Even the three flyovers @ Awka that was recently awarded was also given to them. My major problem with IDC is their poor finishing. Take a look at the pix of Inter-Bau and compare it with that of IDC,you will see a big difference.
There is so much difference. Inter-Bau is also an indigenous company belonging to Chief Nath Okechukwu , whereas the projects they handle are such that next time it will attract more projects for them IDC continued to enjoy patronage despite their poor quality jobs and exorbitant quotations
I suspect the owner(s )of IDC is not far from the former governor

I have heard of Katsina roads comparing that arid area where every where is table land with Southern areas will be unfair. Anambra for instance has serious challenges of erosion and yet each town can boast of an average of 6 motorable roads, of course with the exemption of Riverine communities

Best road ways, most community having an average of 6 motorable roads ( tarred or graded) Anambra State.
Best in terms of reach of quality roads across the State Akwa -Ibom

Politics / Re: Obiano Has Performed More Than Peter Obi – Umeh by Cuche: 8:55pm On Oct 28, 2014
APGA is recent times has not won any election conducted by INEC without the aid of PDP. It will be extremely difficult for them to do so now that PDP has made it clear that the end of such aids has come. Clever politicians have moved on to further their personal aspirations.

Chief Umeh has contributed to the demise of APGA as much as he has contributed to its 'victory' Obi should not be made the sole scape goat. I guess he(Umeh) knows the precarious situation of APGA that is the reason for all the talks here and there. I am aware that Umeh wants to contest Anambra Central Sen. Seat and hopes to get as much public sympathy, maybe he'll be lucky.
However, if Umeh loves Obiano he should tell him the truth to move(to pdp) on without him while he waits for the outcome of 2015 Senatorial contests before he joins pdp

Peter Obi TRIED to work on Anambra Agreed but what he did was not his best. Where he did his best was on his POCKETS he made sure he lined his pockets with all he could muster from IGR, LGs funds, covert deals with private businesses within the state giving him part ownership and then left the state littered with uncompleted projects.
Feelers have it that Chief Obiano is having headache with where to get money to complete these projects. All those stories of setting aside billions for the completion of those projects is another lie/deceit from Mr Obi.

Nothing Personal Mama Bianca.

The Igbos have a permanent interest in Nigerian Politics and it cannot be archieved
through APGA at least for now or in the near future.

Eze Igbo knew this and joined NPN instead of NPP., but due to his background,
he could not go far.
Okadigbo, Ekwueme and even your father-Aninaefu Ngwu na Ngwoo knew this
and alied with NPN even when NPP was in control at Enugu.

The National cake is always bigger and seems inexhaustible.

While we struggle to build up APGA at home, we believe that we can get to the promised land faster
through federal might, AND PETER OBI'S CHANCES ARE BETTER THAN EZE IGBO's.

Did you see the Federal government/PDP delegation that went to woo him over to PDP?

There are more where those came from.

You are on a National assignment, I strongly suggest that you remain inj APGA
but dont be too far from Obi.

I PROPHESY THAT OBI IS GOING TO MAKE IT BIG AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL,
I ALSO PROPHESY THAT HE WILL NEITHER FORGET NDI IGBO NOR APGA

He is like a young and wise prince sent on an etrrant so important that the life of a people depends on it and he knows this.

house was demolished by Obi.

In spite of the Demolitions, Kidnappings climaxed during those years, most wealthy men from the State ran away and those that stayed were picked. GU Okeke pulled resources together to get to the bottom of the the his kidnapping, strong and stubborn as he stood to get convictions on the principal suspect he discovered agents of the Government were frustrating the case and the prime suspect was living big at the prison. Find that article and read yourself. It was in two National dalies
Kidnappings and voilent crimes can only get to such proportions as it were when some persons in power have some vested interest
Btw what is his moral justification for demolishing the houses of some selected Kingpins. So if a Government comes tomorrow [labels him a Kingpin and a thief for becoming arguably among the top 5 richest men in Anambra while the State's IGR hovered around 500million naira throughout his 8 year tenure, that can never be true,] pulls down Sabmiller, his shopping plazas, his Resort hotels, his bank structures we will all be clapping?
Otokoto was a cunning richman who condoned all sorts of atrocities, his Hotel at Owerri was the den of ritualists, kidnappers, robbers and what have you. Was his structures demolished? Not minding it was during the military era when nobody questions their actions.
That Hotel structure now hosts a Charity owned school

9. GMB don't really "NEED" Igbo vote. We all know where the Igbo vote is heading

10. Whatever

3. According to you, when PDP won both SE and SS convincingly, it was because SS was massively rigged while SE wasn't rigged
Ojukwu didn't not lose in 2003, APGA won convincingly in all the SE states but the votes did not count. APGA was able to get Anambra through the Courts because the Govt. at the Centre was not happy with Ngige
Personally, I don't think much has changed as par Votes having any significant meaning

Gentlemen, all these permutations will amount to something assuming the votes will count.

As long as the body language of GEJ and Mama Peace shows they'll to continue beyond 2015, GEJ will not abdicate the ASO throne for anybody. As it is, even if the opposition pairs Buhari(Moslem) with Pope(Christian) and election comes today, PDP will still win and issue usual statement 'go to courts if you're not satisfied with the outcome'.
GMB, Atiku, APC should know better and contribute to nation building some other way
