Politics / Re: Why Peter Obi Was Denied Ministerial Appointment By Jonathan by Cuche: 11:37am On Jul 14, 2014
Sycophants saying that Obi never wanted that Ministerial job are gravely ignorant of the happenings.

For the records, Mr Obi made frantic efforts to get that appointment because like most of us he believed that GEJ having the Veto may not have to consult other stakeholders before nominating him. His perceived obstacle had always been the Senate and he spent a fortune trying to bribe the National assembly.

I don't know for now exactly how much he gave Olisa Metuh, Emeakayi and Co. who did their part by claiming that by consensus PDP had nominated Mr. Obi whereas there were so many dissenting voices
Some of his media representatives have been briefed as we speak to present the matter of his rejection to be as a result of his frugal nature.
My question has always been 'frugal' in what sense? He only refused to share the loots, he preferred keeping large chunks to himself. It has nothing to do with any love for Anambra State, afterall, huge sums of money ranging from LG funds, IGR, Ecological funds to parts of Fed allocations were unaccounted for during his tenure

Politics / Re: Why Gov Obiano Took 30 Anambra Lawmakers To US by Cuche: 9:33pm On Jul 12, 2014
I believe Obiano will deliver on his promises because he comes across as a bridge builder, desirous of genuine followership. Not long ago he called for a sub -reconciliatory meeting of Anambra stakeholders pleading for brotherhood. Also during the elections, he had pleaded with a youth who cited that Obi did nothing for the youths throughout his tenure as his reason for not rooting for Apga, on twitter and subsequently he promised to look into the welfare of the youths. And true to that, all is set for the creation of database for unemployed youths in the State.

This IDC consultants are getting plenty jobs in Anambra, I hope it does not belong to Mr. Obi whom we all know is synonymous with cutting corners in terms of quality of project- executions

bestviewer: This is not what we agreed on our last meeting few weeks back!
What did you agree? That Saint Peter Obi should be the Aviation Minister
Do you think GEJ is oblivious of the huge sums of money ferried away from Anambra under Peter or that he is not aware of our yearning for standards in project execution which was lacking under Obi's administration?
Wake-up from that Spell
The consolation we have is that Obiano seems to abandon Obi's style of sub -standards and he's vigorously pursuing quality across in the projects apparently he is abreast of the poor quality jobs done by his predecessor

Mr Chidoka? Goodluck get sense whalahi

He did well at FRSC, he is a good and honest administrator. He is not capricious like the man that will go all out to possess all funds the ministry can muster for personal use. to build personal shopping malls, hotels, beer factory, capitalize a bank, buy himself large stakes at Orient Petroleum whereas he is saving money, starving projects of quality and best practices they deserve. I am glad PDP stakeholders opposed the man's nomination strongly

It is automatic appointment for anybody whose name appears on the list submitted to ANSEC by APGA. This time around, no room for any opposition.
I think it is 'normal', APC did the same in Edo State. It is APGA 's turn in Anambra. But one danger that this portends is foisting non-performers on the people.
Some persons are already celebrating in certain quatres just because their names will make ANSEC list and the probability of their appointment is One.
A contest would have brought the best of candidates across the Local Governments of the State
Politics / APGA LGA Selection To Be Held; APC Kicks-vangd by Cuche: 7:56am On Jan 03, 2014
Awka—Governorship candidate of All
Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Chris
Ngige, has said the APC will not participate in
the forthcoming local government election in
Anambra State.
He said this when he addressed a press
conference in Akwa, after a crucial meeting with
stakeholders and APC aspirants on the said
election.
The local council election is scheduled to hold
on January 11, 2014.
But the APC has subsequently directed all the
party councillorship and chairmanship
candidates, as well as its supporters to boycott
the election.
Ngige said it became necessary for the party to
take a position after reviewing the last
gubernatorial election.
Besides, the governorship candidate
commended the people of Anambra State for
their steadfastness and patience, alleging that
“few days to the election, voters’ register has
not been given to parties and the last voters
register used by Nigeria Independent National
Electoral Commission, INEC, in conducting the
gubernatorial election has not been reviewed,
hence APC is insisting on an authentic voters
register.”
He berated INEC over what he described as
“glaring signs of the non- readiness of INEC,
hence doubt their ability to conduct and ensure
a free, fair and credible election.”
He, however, alleged that there were desperate
moves by the All Progressives Grand
Alliance, APGA, in collaboration with INEC, to
ensure that “APC is completely excluded from
all elective positions in the state against the will
of the people.”
The lawmaker, who represents Anambra
Central Constituency, also took a swipe at the
acting chairman of Anambra State Independent
Electoral Commission, ANSIEC, Mr Sylvester
Okonkwo, for requesting political parties to
submit the list of candidates and their forms to
the commission “when issues leading to a free,
fair and credible election in the state are yet to
be addressed.”

He was in Akwa-Ibom to take picture with Rev Jesse Jackson. Perhaps next time he will also need a picture with Obama or with the dead Mandela if it were possible to boost his image. One thing is CERTAIN; every criminal will expire one day. Every Charm has an expiration date.

true talk and you left out infrastructural development
I will not delve into infrastructure because I have not been to all the states, so it is relative. However, there are development indices that are objective and has far reaching benefits.
Do you know that quality education is the foundation for any country that wants to compete with the rest of the world? Now, imagine what the country will look like when we have our own people trained at the highest centres of Tech, Science, etc. and have them come back and man enterprises in their related field.
The result will be that in the next 50 years Nigeria should be self sufficient as a country. We can manufacture our own vehicles, planes, other goods and services with very minimal input from expatriates. Nigerian jobs will be for its people.
Prof Awojobi in his time (I was told) campaigned for that type of education to be in place for the foundation of a glorious Nigeria in the future.
Nigeria missed it at the point when our fake leaders saw education as a waste of budget funds.
For me all the Governors that are taking education seriously are the best, but Mr Kwankwaso stands out.
I know of 2 persons who are not indigenes of Kano (just residents ) who benefited from the overseas scholarship.

For me
Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, his drive on education shows thoughtfulness.
Particularly, sending Kano people (including non-indigenes) overseas for study in Science and Technology.
At the cost of Billions of naira per annum considering the number of persons involved.

India and China did such at a point in their history. Now it is paying
Let's not mention Japan which had its people trained in Germany in the early 1900s even uptill 1940s. How can Nigeria Catch-up when most of our Leaders are yet to start taking education seriously?

I am confortable; much more than you can imagine
and have access to exclusive informations on the criminals that had besieged Anambra. Are you pleased with the level of development/security in Anambra State? Well, if you are, I am not.

I will investigate the main reason for the inclusion of Obi ahead of better Governors on that man of the year award list. Were they PAID to do that? Anything is possible in this country.

I think SilverBird should focus on news, sports and entertainment. Their Cinema is Ok. and offers other allied services.
Becoming an instrument of cheap popularity in the hands of underperforming public office holders could be costly.
The MBGN shouldn't be sponsored by State Government if they want it to be seen as a fair contest. Eyebrows were raised over the recent peagent sponsored by Bayelsa State and won by a Bayelsa indigene- Miss Anna Banner . She is fine anyway, one can't take that from her.

Politics / Silverbird Man Of The Year Award, Now Political? by Cuche: 9:52am On Dec 23, 2013
I think it is hightime media houses aligned with the people and became a tool for societal transformation.
Silverbird man of the year award nominations has left me wandering if this establishment is really out to contribute to the transformation of the country, to encourage public office holders to impact positively on the lives of the citizens.
For want of space, I will not delve much into the memory lane but let me highlight just two instances. First, Mrs. Funke Osibudu was nominated by this same organization as the best thing in the Banking Sector, they sited her quality leadership at Union Bank Plc. The award was coming at a time when she was at loggerhead with the Staff Union, In fact, her battle with the Unions brought to fore a lot of financial mismanagement on her part. She was believed to be working for some unknown subjects in a bid to crash the market value of Union Bank and then Selling it very cheap to these unknowns.
While Union Bank was painted as not having enough financial muscle to meet its obligations culminating in reckless dismissal of staff, Mrs. Osibudu's moribund shipping business jumped back to life with the acquisition of new vessels running into billions of naira. It might interest you to know that before her ascension to the MD of Union Bank Plc that the shipping company was only a registration with cooperate affairs commission on her husband's name. The headquarters of the company looked like a Pool Shop. At that time, under her "quality" leadership the bank was awarding internal contracts of over-bloated sum. She also purchased choice property in Lagos and Abuja, got for herself two bullet proof luxury cars and moved around town with a full squadron of Mopol . Today she is a regular guest of the anti-graft commissions.
Now, Mr. Peter Obi is nominated as the best thing to happen to the area of Governance, for his developmental strides in Anambra and for creating unrivalled stability in the state. I keep asking myself in this category why not Akpabio, Fashola, Kwankwaso, Wammako, Amaechi even Uduaghan, Why Obi? The same Obi who has succeeded in building multi-billion dollars businesses for himself (since he became governor) within and outside the country to the detriment of developing Anambra State Take a good look at the streets of Awka, Onitsha, Nkpor, Nnewi, how many are tarred? How many of these places have pipe born water? How many of Anambra State citizens are studying overseas on State Government Scholarship? None.
How is Silverbird nominations made? How much is the nomination form? SilverBird communications should strike a balance between business enterprise and being veritable tool for societal transformation
Politics / Re: Anambra Election:what Happened To The JEGA INEC Corrupt Officials by Cuche: 9:30am On Dec 22, 2013
He's freed on bail, men on black investigations on the source of N64 million found with him are inconclusive (we all know the source of the bribe ) because of vested interests.
Ukeh tragedy investigations also stalled
LG elections postponed indefinitely
Next year's budget to factor in bribe to be spent on Tribunal.
Will this Obiano for whom all these wrongs seems to favour deliver the much needed leadership in Anambra?
Will he be just another member of the criminal gang that had besieged the State?
Is there any hope in sight for Anambra?
Politics / Re: Breaking News- Ananmbra Local Government Elections Postponed Indefinately by Cuche: 11:04pm On Dec 18, 2013
A state overran by robbers and criminals. Why will they conduct elections or even selections, few substandard roads per LGA can substitute for the grassroot development and poverty alleviation effect of having a LG structure .
While LG allocations + revenues /taxes + whatever goes to who knows where.

Religious leaders within the state are not helping matters, they get the crumbs in the name of donation for whatever. The much needed advice that would solve the poverty situation across the LGs of the State is not and cannot come from them. They prefer silence as long as the donation keeps coming
EFCC doesn't seem to be existing
Politics / Re: Contractors Disappear From 2 Billion Naira Road Project In Awka by Cuche: 10:43am On Dec 13, 2013
I considered the relativity of costs. That was why I said 20 million per kilometer. Obi quality of roads can be done with N 8 million per kilometer during Ngige time. The inflation rate at that time has not changed significantly.
The cost of materials sourced within had not also increased as such. For instance Bitumen, chippings price, diesel fuel for the equipment remained basically the same. I don't see why Obi should be doing 10km of poor quality road in Anambra State for N2 billion
Not that the roads had any form of sophistication like underground drainage system with holes.
Politics / Re: Contractors Disappear From 2 Billion Naira Road Project In Awka by Cuche: 7:02am On Dec 13, 2013
The quality of roads done by Obi should not cost more than N20 million per kilometer except for riverine areas where it could cost substantially higher. The truth is that most of the roads he did which were in central and south just looks like black painting the paved soil yet the contract sum is for super standard roads.
Take for instance the Nnewi -Adazi road (done by Obi)
compare it with Nkpor- Umuoji road(done by Ngige) Yet the contract sums are similar
Why can't Obi be honest for once in his life?

Can somebody assure me that this Oyibo investor to partner in these projects is not the thief himself?
This is because in projects like this it turns out the South African investors is only the face of one and only Mr. Obi like it is with Sabmiller and others while the Anambra gets just 7% stakes in it for the 'future of our children' an individual who turns out to be the Gov., owns 75% equity in the business. This is why I dislike Obi, he is so crafty and dishonest

Anambra people had no doubt whom they wanted to vote for.It was those bent on rigging the elections that were writing junk on the internet to give the impression they had grass-root support. That is why you must take what you read from biased blog sites and newspapers with a cup of salt.
The tribalism issue raised before the election was part of the rigging plan. So that when the purchased results allotted to APGA is announced it will appear that Anambra voted along tribal line. The truth was that we were ready to vote out Obi because of his poor performance regardless of party affiliation provided the election was free and fair. People came out to vote out Obi only to discover the election was just a formality as the umpire had sold out weeks before.
