I invested with them early this year with minimal money to test them for a year.

So far they seem to be very serious o.

I receive my cut of payments daily after each bus trip.

They are the real deal.

Simple, straightforward, honest and stress-free.
what option did you invest in

Yup. They have two investment options, standard and hire purchase. Different interest rates and life cycles. Will be putting money into both. Will let you know how that turns out.

InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by CuteRedd(f): 2:02pm On Sep 24, 2017
Pls what are the benefits of bonds 7years bond at 16%
Doest that mean I will collect the profit at the time of investment then my capital is paid back after seven years. How is that a reasonable thing? Or I am missing something here?

What are the advantages of bonds?

GreenlandAgric:
Never mentioned 30k per acre please quote me right. What was mentioned is 30k per unit and that was broken down for people that can't afford to invest up to 60k at the moment and they will still get the 65% profit after 4 months on the amount invested.
Though the deadline for this investment plan passed yesterday 15/09/2017. Thank you.
alright my apologies on the misunderstanding.

Please read carefully before rushing to criticize. The investment plans are different from each other and we thank people that have responded so far.
By the grace of the Almighty, we shall not let them down.
On your soybeans thread you said 30k per acre now u r mentioning 60k per acre why the difference all of a sudden?

Is it because the young man said he has 150k to invest? huh

- Every investment class ( Stocks, Real Estate, Money Mkt Instruments) has its own purpose, it is not wise to conclude that its nonsense just because of the currency devaluation playing out now.

- I have children that are still in school, It is better for me to lock up a fund in bonds for some number of years that guarantee the payment of their school fees for the next five to 10 years without worrying about rate fluctuation.

- We have seen good and bad days... we have seen era when Treasury Bills rate are low as 4% and mutual fund rates are even much more lower. You will understand that this is just a cycle repeating itself.

- A wise investor will take advantage of both instruments.
I understand you, its just due to my exposure on legal investments with higher returns which is also well secured thats why bonds ROI to me seems like child's play.

It is advisable to stick with Treasury Bills... If you want long term investments, shift to FGN Bonds or FGN Savings Bonds. All these crowdfunding schemes are temporary and you may lose your funds.

Be wise
what is the percentage ROI for FGN bonds and for how many years

You guys are still making the error of doing simple interest for MMF. That ~18% compounds monthly. If your 8m yields 120k this month, by next month you'll be doing 18% of 8.12m which is 121k. So there's a slight increase of 1k over two months at 18%. The interesting thing about MMF is the compounded interest which can get really high over several years.

Anyways, there's need for more investment opportunities. The rate from MMF is still pretty low and may not be inflation proof. I'm really looking at other investment opportunities. When I think of the fact that 2000usd on Bitcoins in 2010 will be over 500m usd today, I just get mad cheesy. I want to spot that new golden opportunity still in its baby stage today.
you can check out transberg although their model is quite different and would benefit people looking for long-term investments opportunities not short term investors.

The 5-10% profit is on your investment not on the total worth. As in 5-10% of one bus share (10,000) not the whole bus. At least that's what I think.
You can call their Customer Care for more concrete answers.
OK fine why does it fluctuate what will make me earn 5% today and 10% tomorrow.

Since your investment how has it been have u been able to withdraw also has your profit been a constant 10% or it fluctuates
InvestmentRe: Transberg : Transport Company Stocks. by CuteRedd(f): 11:56am On Sep 09, 2017
What happens when the bus has an accident, do you still earn? As profits are from car trips

Also from their brochure for example if one should invest N10000 for their standard investment your busshare would be 0.1% for a N1,000,000 bus worth. Does that mean you will be earning 0.1% of the profits monthly. If yes then why are they promising 5-10% monthly

@ Denowo, Mathschic, I'm also a potential investor.

In the Insurance information shared by Denowo, there's no cover for when such crops are eaten by birds, wild animals and more particularly, fed on by fulani herdsmen and their cattle.

However, I think it's a wonderful idea and should be roundly applauded.
I asked them although (thriveagric) not farm crowdy about the issue of fulani herds men and they replied that they incorporated the locals into the farming program hence they have vested interest in it.

Don't know if that's good enough but as you said it's a great initiative.

I had told the lady in charge of TB at Stanbic IBTC, Ikate branch to do a 365 days for 500k for me since late June. She said she would check and get back to me. When she didnt get back to me, I went there on 6 July only to have her say that it was successfu yesterday (5 July) and I would be debited that day. I wasn't but could not go because of the busy nature of my job. Finally went there two days ago and she said it was successful and doesnt know why I was not debited. Went again yesterday and she said there is no response yet. Just now, I got this alert:

"A debit of NGN419028.77 occurred on your A/C XXXXXX1874. Date:16-08-2017 at 16:44. Details: 05 JUL 2018 TBIL PUR . Balance:NGN81078.19"

Questons:
1. Is this kind of (bad) behaviour common with Stanbic?
2. What rate is this? Looks quite low on the surface.
3. What's your advice to me going forward?
2. That is a 16.2%rate

Stocks specifically. But my problem has been getting my hand on historical financial data that will guide my decision. All the lectures I listened to were based on the US stock exchange market. It has been difficult transferring it to the Nigeria context with lack of data. Will appreciate your help. Is there any source of info like MSN money website?

MathsChic:
Hello All,

I'm sure some of you know about Farmcrowdy already. It's a digital agricultural platform where farm sponsors are able to purchase farms and reap rewards of up to 15% in 5-6months after gestation. Their website is www.farmcrowdy.com. I wrote about them sometime ago.

Now, I have come questions or concerns I'd just like to raise.

I had a chat with their representative online regarding the nature of insurance they provide for invested money. According to them, all monies invested are insured by Leadway Insurance, so investors don't lose money. However, the nature of this insurance is not disclosed. I pressed the representative further and all I got in return was that "this has not happened before". On asking how they intend to cover the loss they'll incur if it does happen, I got no response. I couldn't even elicit a response how this insurance mechanism is structured and how they interpret losses, if they do incur one. Is a loss when they fail to make their desired, expected revenue, or when they make only an insufficient percentage?

Responses from the representative were standard copy-paste responses, with some even repeated for the same questions. I find this a great concern.

I don't know if anyone has heard of Theranos (an american bio-tech coy). They came onto the scene making promises which turned out false. But it took the investigative power of a diligent WSJ journalist to out them. Unfortunately, Nigeria is not such a country gifted with tech journalists who go the distance in their investigations, else wouldn't it be nice to have someone on their case?

I'd love to know what you think of this. We need to get the detail of that insurance with Leadway.
are you saying that Leadway will refuse to bear the insurance in case loss happens
