Good Morning. I got my Visa denied today this morning in Abuja Embassy. I think the International student loan does not sound so good to the VOs. My transcript is thus:

Vo: how did you pick this university
Me: I contacted Prof. Don Morel because his research interest aligns with my professional career goal which is to introduce unprecedented solar technologies in Nigeria which would contribute greatly to the Power sector
Vo: How many Universities u applied to
Me: 6 Universities and I mentioned all of them
Vo: why did you pick d university over others
Me: Because I will be learning from Faculties that have had one or two inventions in their name and the university is also ranked among the only 25 best universities for technology transfer in the US.... (cuts in and caressing my passport)
Vo: How will you pay for this?
Me: I got a student loan from Prodigy finance in London, UK which my dad will be fully responsible for paying back
Vo: what's the worth of the loan?
Me: A total of $50,000

Vo: Sorry I will not be approving your VISA.


Let me know what you think. I will be trying again next year, hopefully I will get an assistantship. I also have an application against next Fall. Can I change my school if I got admitted with funding?

I need to improve my vocabulary learn as much as 500-1000 vocabs for RC in Verbal also Quant Geometry, Applied Maths and Algebra.

Kindly recommend valuable resources and apps,my exam is less than a month.
Also, any practice test software or app that mimick actual exam difficulty.

No WAEC doesn't send cards for people. You should send it yourself. They only send your result.

Well I think you can fax the scratch card both front and back with the revealed PIN number to them using hellofax.com.

Hi so i just saw that WES has added another layer to their WAEC verification for easy use. Was wondering if anyone is interested in sending it in bulk hence cutting down courier fees. You can just buy your scratch card, put your WES number then we can all send with a courier and split the courier fees

Heard WES requires WAEC verification via email. Scratch cards will not replace/is not for verification from the examining body.

So I heard waec would send the scratch card to Wes but I don’t know how long that would take, and I don’t know if you are supposed to send yourself, and if it is possible to send yourself the. I would like a contact of where the scratch card can be gotten from because I also think it’s scarce to come by.

Nope I haven't . But already sent all other documents . I was mailed to not do anything for now . I'm at the verification stage . So they are awaiting the institutions . At the end I may not send it

Please any one could help on how to get some one in WAEC Yaba to reply WES.

Well, there are many sides I could see to this, one is the fact that most of those who applied to top schools don't come over here to make enquiries, they only get to be silent readers, they download the transcript drop box and develop it to their own taste....

You know what it means when Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Duke, Massachusetts give you funding..... for you to have gotten the funding through various mail respondents for months, then, preparing for interview will be an easy ride for you.

I have a friend that scored 316 in GRE, who decided to re write just because is target was Duke University, he wrote again, then scored 315, so, he had to check out lesser ranked schools because of that score....But most of us, sincerely, and probably among busy schedules couldn't get to write the GRE which is what makes those top schools competitive....

Also, this same friend told me of a WhatsApp group that consists of gurus all over the world, including Indian students, studying in US, he belongs to the group, they discuss basically, how to get into top schools, and nothing more, and that's where he got his inspiration...


He was the one that told me Indians usually study with loans so they easily get into top schools even if they don't get funding, and they do so with a target of getting employed in top companies, be it business or manufacturing company in the US....they believe they will pay back while they get employed in those big companies... the difference here is Nigerians hardly attend such schools without funding...


I can keep on writing on it...but let the gurus here help out more.

Answer 2: I applied to 2 schools only 1 gave me admission

please house, which of these is the best answer to the question as a serious MBA student, I actually applied to 3 schools, no standardized tests only WES evaluation was required, I got admitted to 1 for MBA
