Naija, what can I say: I throway salute for this country!! |
Has anyone thought of stealthily using Molotov Cocktails on this bastards? Imagine them lighting-up like goddamned suyas that they really are!! ![]() |
You can blame Nuhu Ribadu all you want BUT if the bellicose General Obasanjo tells him to do something, what options has he got? This is does not personally exonerate him but if the EFCC was totally independent and the chairman was appointed by the National Assembly, this problem will more likely be avoidable. To Alams, yes. . .Obasanjo did to you what he did to a lot of other people including the masses of Nigeria BUT DID YOU STEAL/LOOT/MISMANAGE any money meant for the people you were supposed to lead? Just YES or NO, please! |
Defending this GJ on Nairaland is nothing new. . .people did more for the Yaradumdum! This thread will be alive in 6+ months time. I hope Nigeria actually has seen a reasonable measure of change then! |
I said the same thing in another thread! You are very right I think, hopefully, you and I (and many others) are wrong! This guy is as useless and clueless as Yaradua. Pray, how much money/effort does it cost to have the electoral report implemented? Appoint a useful and credible EFCC chairman. Remove the forger at customs, keep Nigeria moving for a few weeks, getting used to the new, good changes. In the meantime, be ready for another major positive announcement before we recover from the previous one?? |
Well, no surprise there! Just like Yaradua, and the Nigeria he lead as a servant leader: The more you look, the less you see! Methinks, this thing grew wings and vanished, somehow! I think a high-powered probe panel should be constituted to probe it's disappearance?? ![]() |
Some interesting testimonies here! Tigerlilly:@Tigerlilly. . .what a pair of nice shoes you've got on there! |
404eater:Taking panadol for someone else's headache?? I think you were born devoid of any sense of humor? Well, maybe na the stuck-in-Naija frustration dey worry you! ![]() Gabry:Ha, madam Kofo. . .no need to do yanga for me o and no need for condescending comments 'cos I dey play with your thread! If na fight, I no need any fight. . .abeg keep your gift wrapper! Aguda o je labe geesi abegi! |
Reason: Corruption of the highest order! |
Jonathan Goodluck will be a BIG BIG failure and disappointment to Nigeria and Nigerians the way he is going! But, I seriously hope and wish he disappoints me by being a success instead!! Why?? Yes, it is good to conceive ambitious projects but how, when and what resources will he use to prosecute these project? Who really will undertake the project? The already over-leveraged Federal government, the overly-corrupt State government or the private sector? Look, what you (Jonathan) should be doing now and should have done is VERY simple: 1. Immediately send to the National Assembly the full, un-compromised Uwais Panel report. If this is already sent, lobby and apply necessary pressure to have it passed immediately. 2. (1) above will help to set in motion the appointment of a creditable INEC chairman. 3. The EFCC needs to be made very strong and totally independent of any other person or body. Do this and re-invigorate the body to wage a strong anti-corruption campaign. 4. Fix or attempt to begin quickly the power sector 5. Sack and appoint credible people as the comptroller of customs, UBEC, NCC, institute stronger banking regulations, etc; and totally monitor all the contracts that have already been awarded. These will have a more serious and positive effect without spending BIG in the next one year before the next elections. Which of these is not important? |
@Gabry. . .no, no. . .you don't need to bluetooth any garri (or any food) to me for that matter! What happened to sending me some of those gift-wrapped gizmos fit only for a prince like me?? ![]() NLanders. . .send gift to me now, don't wait until there is a disaster before inundating me with I loff you gifts and messages o! Where una dey all of una?? LOL ![]() |
I almost missed out on this eye-opening thread but good I was able to read quite a few pages. What lessons are there to learn? 1. This is just a case of LOVE gone SOUR - on the path of Platinumk. She was in LOVE with the WRONG kind of person - a dishonest, forked-tongue liar - and was unable to recognize all the red flags. 2. ThePelican can not be said to LOVE this girl - as he had criminal intent and lied about things he should not lie about. Question is: How many other things not indicated here he lied about and of course, to sustain one lie, you will need at least two; and for those three lies, you will need 6, making 9 and it becomes a vicious cycle of lying. Obviously, he was in it because he wanted to leave Nigeria by all means even if he has to take advantage of someone else and do criminal things to achieve this objective. 3. Specifically to Platinumk, it is ridiculous that because of your grave error of judgment spanning several weeks (of lies and cover-up), you insinuate that it is the fault of "Nigerians", most of whom you have never met or known. Simply, your feelings beclouded your judgment and that is the issue here. On this same NL, there are Nigerian guys much better than the loser you fell for, who don't need your money, your father's documents, care if you are in medical school, working or studying whatever course, don't need to be or live in America, who will only like you like ThePelican and may be right under your nose; but people like this will tend to be rather too straight-forward and a bit too honest to get your attention. Of course, they don't have the luxury of time to spend most of their life on NL and when they do, they may go to more serious sections and will come here only occasionally; but that time, your attention is only fixated on losers who are just a one-way traffic to disappointment and heart break. This is applicable to a LOT of the people on NL especially WOMEN. So, in essence stop generalizing all Nigerians with a lost cause as this one. 4. To NL ladies, you should also learn a valuable lesson. I see a lot of familiar user names involved in this imbroglio and with reference to women, their empty pride is appalling. A LOT of the single ladies here WANT a guy for love/relationship/marriage but they are so pretentious! Now, the wind has blown and the poo hole of the chicken has been exposed in the market square! One of them is FL Gators among several others! My advice: learn now or keep deceiving yourselves with useless shakara that will have only one big loser: YOU! Truth be told, MOST WOMEN in America will NOT get married until they are OLD; out of with many will get a divorce in 3-6 years and a LOT will NEVER be married! So, use your sense when you meet a man and you see dangerous lies, you need to leave immediately. Most of the genuine deserving guys won't need to lie to you even if he is in Nigeria. He won't need your money. He would rather spend his own for himself and you (assuming you are not a gold-digger yourself who is always demanding things). But he will tell you the truth even when it hurts but common experience has shown that women love FALSEHOOD and nothing works better than a lying charming man who can raise the dead with his lies. |
I dey HERE too OOO! No freaking present from any human on this NL after all my posts! Na so so fight and argument, me I don tire abeg! Plati, Gabby, whoever is reading this, send me my own gift o before I go on permanent hunger strike ooo! LOL. . . ![]() |

The Super Eagles squad was named by coach Lars Lagerback in the capital, Abuja, on Monday. Fit-again Everton striker Victor Anichebe has been recalled along with John Utaka, the Portsmouth forward who was left out of the Nations Cup. Lukman Haruna, the under-17 World Cup-winning captain in 2007, has also made the cut. This is Lagerback's first Nigerian squad since taking over from Shaibu Amodu who was sacked after leading to third place at the Nations Cup in Angola in January. Nigeria play Argentina, Greece and South Korea in Group B of the World Cup. Two locally-based players - goalkeeper Akpan Bassey and defender Terna Suswan - are named in the squad, which will delight fans who had called for the inclusion of some players from the 2010 West African (Wafu) Cup team. Assistant coach Austin Eguavoen defended Lagerback's first selection. "We have travelled and have monitored our players for the last two months and we must admit it was not easy, but we have chosen players who give us options everywhere," Eguavoen told BBC Sport. "There have been injury concerns as well as other issues but from defence to attack we have chosen carefully. Nigeria squad: Goalkeepers: Vincent Enyeama (Hapoel Tel Aviv, Israel), Dele Aiyenugba (Bnei Yehuda, Israel), Austin Ejide (Hapoel Petah Tikva, Israel), Bassey Akpan (Bayelsa United, Nigeria) Defenders: Taye Taiwo (Marseille, France), Elderson Echiejile (Rennes, France), Chidi Odiah (CSKA Moscow, Russia), Onyekachi Apam (OG Nice, France), Joseph Yobo (Everton, England), Daniel Shittu (Bolton Wanderers, England), Ayodele Adeleye (Sparta Rotterdam, Netherlands), Rabiu Afolabi (SV Salzburg, Austria), Terna Suswan (Lobi Stars, Nigeria) Midfielders: Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi (TSG Hoffenheim, Germany), John Utaka (Portsmouth, England), Brown Ideye (FC Sochaux, France), Peter Utaka (Odense Boldklub, Denmark), , Kalu Uche (Almeria, Spain), Dickson Etuhu (Fulham, England), John Mikel Obi (Chelsea, England), Sani Kaita (Alaniya, Russia), Haruna Lukman (AS Monaco, France), Yusuf Ayila (Dynamo Kiev, Ukraine), Osaze Odemwingie (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia) Strikers: Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Everton, England), Victor Anichebe (Everton, England), Nwankwo Kanu (Portsmouth, England), Obafemi Martins (Wolfsburg, Germany), Ikechukwu Uche (Real Zaragoza, Spain), Victor Obinna Nsofor (Malaga, Spain) - Culled from BBC Sports Source: http://nationaldailyngr.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1515:nigeria-announce-2010-world-cup-squad&catid=58:football&Itemid=386 |
Yes, this is a terrible crime regardless of the tribe of the criminal! Can NL just grow-up and stop seeing tribal sentiments in everything? Shame on either side (Yoruba and Ibo) posters who are nothing but tribalistic, racial bigots! You are the reason Nigeria cannot progress and all you will achieve till you die is racism, tribalism, bigotry! Shame, shame, shame on all of you! |
shotster50:Yes, I tend to agree with you. . .but the terrible thing is that even if everyone puts genuine and concerted efforts to advance Nigeria, WE will not make one iota of progress. People of his ilk will perpetually constitute the proverbial leaking basket such that regardless of the volume and speed with which you fill it with water, it only remains an EMPTY basket! What a waste!! |
99% of this "problem" is caused by illiteracy, poverty and ancillary reasons! Naija! Mehn. . .I tire ooo ![]() |
Too bad that Mekusxxx still hasn't grown proper brains not to be a tribalistic racist bigot in all his posts and worldview! I find it really disgusting that the lowest scums of the earth find their way to pollute NL for others! What a shame on him and other bigots! @Topic. . .well, this is merely a distraction! There's nothing to study again about studing "Nigeria's problems". If that were actually required, it should be done in Nigeria but not in any foreign county. Now, IBB cannot and should not bother about criminality, 419, corruption, etc! He is second to the devil in such evil! |
This is rubbish!!!
Apparently, this rubbed you the wrong way? But well, this is your position and so far, you are O.Y.O. |
Well, if in truth they did not fulfill their promise to build a fence by the time specified and this is one of the reasons why the hotel is being rejected, how come the NFF has to pay a penalty?? |
Are you the one who needs tutorial? But wait, why does she have to be a female and what is negotiable about this salary? Why not just say exactly what the salary and job is?? Well, there are rats smelling over this advert! ![]() |
Are you the admission officer?? ** Scam in preparatory mode ** But some people will not listen until their money lost! |
SLIGHT:True talk man but LOL. . . ![]() |
That thing NA CURSE! Empty barrels make the most noise so no surprise Nigerian leaders are like pangolo in the open market! |
I hate what is happening in Nigeria today? How much did Ibori steal, compared to what IBB, OBJ, Lucky, Andy Uba, etc stole, that will warrant this? I abhor corruption, but selective justice will never go unpunished, by GOD. Let there be a blanket corruption war in Nigeria. These thieves are just too much in Nigeria. Anyway, there is no point jubilating. JAMES IBORI IS OUT ON BAIL IN DUBAI. He is a free man again!. That is the latest!
A man granted bail is "free"? Obviously, some people's looting plans has suffered a massive setback! |
