Romance › Re: Why Cant He Leave Me Alone: by CyberG: 4:08am On Sep 15, 2010
^^^ I had to comment for High Chief spoke like an oracle! How can you come out of a 6 year relationship and still jumped into a new one within 2 months? You were not really in that relationship or you were using him or you are just really too young and immature! Otherwise, what were you waiting for in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd. . .years and not quit then 6th, GBAM! Well, this new guy you have is your rebound and you guys will bang each other silly then you will want someone else! This will be even more true if the ex disvirgined you or got you when you were much younger.

But look, I don't care about the details 'cos while you were chopping him for 6 years, you didn't complain (plus him paying a bill when you couldn't afford it or pay it yourself) but now, you are coming to tell a one-sided BS of a story? I hope people can use their brains to think before giving you any serious advise because you literally ate him all these years and now wanna run? You're lucky you now live in America or whatever goddamn place you live, cos if it were Naija or some backwater country, you go don hear am now!
Romance › Parting Gift For Recent Ex-girlfriend! by CyberG(op): 9:37pm On Sep 09, 2010
My close buddy has just broken-up with his girlfriend and they are trying to move on graciously! He wants to surprise her with a gift which she will accept and he has been asking what he should buy.

NLanders, your suggestions will be a good pool of ideas for which I can advice him but please make it short! Something VERY USEFUL, simple, nice and not too expensive will be very good!
Romance › Re: I Hate Housework And Cooking by CyberG: 8:06pm On Sep 07, 2010
Poster. . .I think you are being lazy and doing the things that are not the most needful.

What do you have to do? Wash clothes. Vacuum the rug. Cook. Wash plates. Do grocery shopping.

To wash clothes, all you need is to put them in your washing machine. When done, put it in the dryer. How hard is that? It's not that you are washing by hand, is it?

To clean rug, plug it and move it around and it does all the work. Just move around the house, shikenan!

To cook, no big deal. Do 3 - 4 weeks of cooking at once, portion them out and get it totally frozen within a few hours after it cools down. It will taste almost as fresh weeks from that time.

To wash plates, put them in the dish washer, and take them out when done. What is hard in that?

To do grocery shopping, buy things to last for a month. Stock in fridge and buy little, little things like fruits and veggies on your way from work. What is hard in that?

Finally, don't kill yourself with working. The number of hours people work in the developed world is set and overtime is based on volume of work which you still get paid or can opt-out.

So, how do these suggestions help for a solution?
Romance › Re: My Boyfriend Broke Up With Me Because Of Age Difference by CyberG: 1:56am On Sep 06, 2010
@Cosmass. . .I think I understand the situation and assuming the guy is good and decent to a considerable extent, then the age difference will not be a big problem. . .but answer the questions:

1. How often (rarely a week or two) do you "fight" (not physical) or have hot arguments?

2. Do this fights happen over rather mundane things that shouldn't be such a "big deal"

3. Do you guys have good communication on an on-going basis?

4. How often does it happen that when you are having a good time with no fights or arguments, something suddenly comes-up and causes a big (and often unnecessary) fight?

5. Some things are learned as you grow older, so you may be matured somewhat at 22 but do you think you are mature enough to possibly make an 80-year long (??) commitment (marriage)?

6. When you fight (or fought in the past), did you call him names or said things you did not apologize for?

7. Do you raise your voice when you talk to him or yell or ever hit him?

8. Do you get angry easily, are hot-tempered and unable to control yourself, what you do and say when you get angry?

9. Do you make him feel secure such that he is not thinking that after a few years of marriage, you could want a divorce to marry someone younger?

<Note: I ask these questions from personal experience and a girl's chances of being married to a guy diminishes exponentially depending on answers to these questions>

Romance › Re: My Fiance Says Am Fat. by CyberG: 3:55am On Aug 19, 2010
Fanta. . .hope you read this and let she who has an ear hear what the omen says to the bride to be: This upcoming marriage is already in danger. If you get married, my guess is both of you will live in Canada. You know what that means? After all the expense, time and commitment you have put into the marriage project, this guy will surely be going after other kind of girls when he is here and he has less to lose. Where do you live in Canada? A guy can go to a party and be in a room with a ton of girls of all fancy shapes, color and sizes and a good number of then want a man.

He will not be able to "survive" the temptation to talk to one of these girls. It is not a matter of "if", it is that of "when". So, give this marriage one more big thought and talk to him, then go with what your heart and brains agree about the issue. Most honest guys will admit that what we see with our eyes (talking about women) could turn us on sexually and captivate our attention and interest. If any one of these ladies (and he doesn't need all, just ONE or a few equally interested ladies) will be enough to do the "damage".

It may be hard to find a good man (the kind you really want) in your immediate environment in Canada but there are good men for sure. Someone you can see and relate with more often is better than someone you have seen and been with less than 10 times, so you can really know him. Most Naija guys will do anything to hook a girl who lives in a good place abroad, so except you plan to live in Nigeria for a long time with him, you need to check this whole thing again!

Romance › Re: Is It Over Or What by CyberG: 8:12am On Aug 11, 2010
@Poster. . .believe it or not, 99% of ladies who read your post (given the picture you painted) will tell you to break-up with this guy. But think for a moment, does the 6 paragraphs you posted accurately and completely reflect what your 18 months relationship (which you admitted you have been through a lot together) looks like? Well, you are the one who can tell but people are already advising you to break-up. I hope you will not just take the advice of people who may not have had a successful 3 or 6 months relationship but will listen to your own heart (and then think based on what things look like or are looking like) before making a decision.

I am a guy and oftentimes, things are not what they seem. I suggest you cautiously evaluate the relationship based on how he acts, reacts, talks to you etc. . .to have your mind made up one way or the other. Also, talk to him and if he does not come across as valuing your relationship to repair it immediately and restore it, then when you make a final decision, you can be confident that you are not taking a hasty or ill-conceived decision.

Family › Re: Is The Fight For Equality Ruining Marriages by CyberG: 1:08pm On Aug 08, 2010
Theblessed:
We are equal, gorit?

Until men get a grip of this, they will never be happy and I thank God, many women are independent and have careers these days! May I use this opportunity to thank my Mum and Dad for sending me to school and I thank myself for having the wisdom and patience to listen to my teacher who helped in moulding my future otherwise, life would have been miserable under these men (I know that now, based on these comments on here ), as the battle between men and women are raging in this our time.  At the end of this 'battle of the sexes', we'll know who is going to be the loser obviously, not us. cool cool cool cool

This equality thing, is important! It might not be important to men but we are not going to relent until our message gets home i.e. sink into men's brains. It's important men respect it for the sake of peace and harmony at home after all, they would be the ones that would need a shelter, a warm bed and an affectionate bosom to lay their big heads on at the end of a hard day, na lie?? grin grin

It means for the sake of peace, when I and you leave the house at 07.00hr to work - and to return home at about 17.00hr, whoever, gets in the door first, should put the kettle on, right?? No, probs! Reason being, both of us are working hard for the family and after a hard day, both of us are tired. So, we need each others strength for support.

For example, you see kitchen business is not only for women but men because, they've got stomach and mouth to eat food too. Therefore, its right if they came in before us to put the kettle on because, we'll need a good cup of tea as we get in, just as we fix you one when we are in before you - so, what's wrong with that?? That's good, isn't it? Equality bring peace and harmony - inequality brings oppression and trouble for the whole family, don't you forget that!

Men are not comfortable with the truth because, darkness is never comfortable with the light.  The light is the truth and reveals a lot - it show up corners the eyes could not see in the dark.  That's why many of you are here complaining because, your wives are resisting your oppressions at home.

In my view, it's only insecure men that oppresses their wives and they should stop because, it doesn't pay any one rather, it brings tears for the entire family - treat your wife the way you'd like to be treated, that way you'd have peace and happiness at home and a lasting marriage. But, if you treat your wife like a Master and Slave, be ready - when the Slave gains her freedom, you'll know!

I have never seen a secured man that oppresses his wife, they don't have the time to do silly and immature things like that.  In fact, a secure men gives his wife the greatest freedom any woman could ever ask for. As far as I'm concerned, some men should get a grip else, they will be left outside like an old and battered truck because, women have got power these days and remember, the world is moving forward and not backwards - your choice, not ours. wink wink wink wink

I am sure that even the most foolish and stupid woman who comes to NL will avoid advise like this one! No long story: any woman with this world view will never find a man to marry her, if she's accidentally married, it will be because she got pregnant for someone and she will most likely be divorced in a very short period of time. You have options: stay single till death, marry another woman but even the most useless man will not live with a woman like this one!

Romance › Re: African American Woman Starting New Relationship With American Born Nigerian Man by CyberG: 9:59pm On Aug 03, 2010
Travelista:
'Travelstupid' abi? So, because you felt attacked because you're a foreigner, a Yoruba guy or possibly a scammer that tries to lure in girls through charm, you decided to attack me for giving my opinion? So be it. While you're foaming at the mouth, acting as if I anally assaulted you, why don't you go and swallow broken glass? You're worried about the OP taking a stranger's advice but you (in the very same sentence, no less) rush to do the same. You're a slowpoke and I doubt you've accomplished anything in your useless life.

Why don't you research Craigslist and see if that's a place you'd find a legitimate relationship? She has every right to be weary of the guy and I stated that. I also said that it's better for her and David to have a misunderstanding over his intentions than for her to lament down the road; did you even see that part or was your desire to exert your masculinity too much for you to control? You brought nothing to the conversation but confusion; go back to your life of bogus advanced degrees and legal profits.
Reading your asinine comments only want to make me puke! Your opinions don't affect my achievements and since your life is really useless as you mentioned, you can just go kill yourself. Never mention or reference me again on this issue or any issues as your ilk are the ones who destroy men - husband or girlfriend! You and the poster can go after your slave-masters and lick their balls. . .good that ~40% of you will never be married in your pathetic life!
Romance › Re: African American Woman Starting New Relationship With American Born Nigerian Man by CyberG: 6:37pm On Aug 03, 2010
Who is the loser called Travelstupid. . .trying to make another loser by very useless advice? Look, poster, even when you get advice (from strangers) use your brains first, then your heart before believing everything you read especially if it is overly-negative or overly-positive! I am a guy who is from the same area as the man in question, I  have my native name but I use an English name here where I live. I have made more legitimate earnings than you have, completed more advanced university education than you in a field a lot of "Americans" will only dream of and struggle to get into. These I have done while I am young and the future is bright. What if the man is treading that same path? He anticipates your desires well enough and seems "too perfect" and he is your first African boyfriend, and that scares you? If indeed you're 27, you must be really silly with that kind of thinking! So, if he is way too smart than the ones you have been dating, how is that his fault? Yes, it is good to be cautious not to be scammed but use your brains. . .has he asked you for money? If he has by the 4th date then your worry could be legitimate. If he does ask you for money in future, you will see if you have been together long enough and close enough to ask you something like that. Not some low-life scum.bag giving you some very annoying advice! It just makes guys like me mad!

Did I hear you or someone say citizenship, to hell with your citizenship, who cares? Any man who works hard enough, smart enough, knows what he is doing and stays doing it will be waaaaayyyyyy ahead of you in America even if your generation has been 1000 years in America! There are many Americans who will be failures in their lives while so called "foreigners" (Africans) will be much more successful and will get all they want (including the citizenship you are so fixated upon). Like someone suggested, if you are too insecure/afraid, date your advisor (Travelista) instead as it is known that most of the loser women in America will never be married in their life anyway! angry angry Let him find a better person now before you make him a loser, okay?
