Eko Ile, nice concepts! One thing I don't see is some form of transportation on that bridge, this will be a VERY big deal and will be almost impossible to add it after the bridge is built without it! How about a LRT running parallel to that same bridge? Trust me, I know that is another billion dollar project but the return on the investment will be very significant. In fact, imagine how people can lease stalls or shop from either side of the bridge not having to worry about walking or biking a whole 26 km to their chosen store? If you or anyone has the ears of the people designing and working on this project, this will be an invaluable addition to the scope! Good one for Lagos and SW!! ![]() |
killuminati: guy you be correct man! In fact, I go vote you for president if you go contest di next election.Thumbs-up to you man! ![]() |
I wish the Nigerian Forces all the victories in all their battles! One thing though that the GEJ government must do (without failing like in some other areas) is to use this opportunity to effectively neutralize the fundamentalists Islamic ideology that bred BH and win over the regular people to never have a reason to become extremists. The religiouw leadership and governors of those days must be actively co-opted very strongly to provide education, economic opportunities, sporting facilities for the youths to channel their energies into, etc. As a continuous winning strategy, the government should never lose the initiative else, they will lose the support of public popular opinions on BH. Therefore, the government needs another secret operation that recruits their operatives whose only job is to gather intelligenence by regularly being in their mosques, Islamic schools, inspection of educational facilities, in fact local and state governments so that anything or anyone that is planning terrorism or fundamental extremist ideologies is neutralized a long time before they have any chance to execute it. In all operations, I hope the Army remains professional minimizing any killings of non-enemy combatants or real civilians. Without fail and like the armies of the Federal Republic of the days of yore, VICTORY! Ahuuu! Ahuuu!! Ahuuuu!!! |
Why are people ignoring the big elephant in the room? ![]() Achebe deserving the title of father of modern African literature is the not my biggest worry in that interview.
Hmmm....what else did you see?? LWTMB again!! ![]() |
eko ileee: This is what I see after reading so many comments in this thread...Soooo true! LWTMB! |
LWKMD...LWTMB!! Is all these coming because all the money he gave did not buy the presidency? Well, if you want the presidency, you know what to do: the people from the north, west, middle and south south. Otherwise, even if they all vote for their tribesman, they can't win for democracy is a game of numbers - that is without PDP rigging! |
I see some intelligent folks here combatting the intellectual dishonesty and cerebral emptiness of some of Chinuas people. Well, stop wasting your time for none of them understood he depth conveyed or grammatical dexterity espoused in that interview. A half-baked poster like the wingnut posting all kinds of conjectural crap is the most unworthy to have a conversation with for she is not able to see the flaccidity of her spurious arguments. Leave the reptiles alone so they can wallow in the pity party of never winning a Nobel price! That alone is enough to keep them crying eternity long....LWKMB!! ![]() |
Soloblincus: Very intresting buildup. Nigeria is CASTED. I jst hope it gets bloodier, atleast heads shuld start rolling.Hope you live in Nigeria where you can partake and share part of your wish of blood? |
This is fantastic, well-written and so well articulated! The use of vocabulary is absolutely brilliant and the content is consumately solid! For the watery commenters here, who are pushing the disgraceful point of view Professor Soyinka soundly debunked, pay them. O attention or dignify them with a response. They probably did not read or understand the crux of the matters effectively dispatched, except where they only found buzz words like "Nobel Prize", "Chinua", etc. Beyond the those, WS cleared up the air on issues relating to Nigeria's war history and it is germaine to point out that most of the points he made is similar to the position of those who have stood for factual history of the events that lead to the war and thereafter. In all kudos to Professor Soyinka, he is indeed a leavening light in every aspect of human endeavor and intelligence. |
For goodness sake, how BIG can this tree be? The rate at which disastrous news is coming out of Nigeria is worrisome! RIP! |
Fresia01: My temp stil dey hot nw! My comment fit bomb NL. So i reserve it until i get over d brutality of ma one nigeria peepz against ma darling Biafra! #sob!Your darling biafara is dead DEAD, shot to pieces! ![]() |
OMG!!! ![]() Austin has completely obliterated the loudmouths and their tirades of empty lies! Lawd have mercy! By the way sha, any honest person would tell you Anambra is the superior one, but only trails my Delta.
He has only managed to cobble up a list of 22 people, some of whom are totally irrelevant to the discussion. You can help him out because it seems you lot are trying to re-write history just like achebe tried and failed in re-writing the history of your catastrophic loss of the war. |
addey: May God work on your life as GEJ works on our road in Jesus name. AmenEvil satanists like insincere9gerians hardly believe in God but all the same, Nigerians say AMEN on his behalf! |
Girls who play meaningless games like these tend to end up losers. This is one of the reasons why some lose interest in most women generally or play along until they mess the chick and then move on - most guys who know what they are worth will never keep a girl who behaved the way you did to them as a permanent partner. Girls start the games, men eventually end it on their own terms, the woman is out of time and wants to get married, the guy dumps her and finds another younger girl while the dumped girl cries and comes to NL to open a pity-party thread. |
...i think am nt done yet, still on Anambra Lt,Gen Chikadibia Isaac Obiakor, appointed by Ban ki moon as the military advisor on UN peace keeping operation Chuka Umunna,a british labour party member of parliament for Streatham constituency prof Kenneth Dike, first indigenous vice-chancellor of university of Ibadan and founder of national archives prof Ben Enwonwu, the first Nigerian sculptor of international repute, with his art work adorning the UN headquarters i wont mention these class acts, for political and personal differences )e.g prof Dora Akunyili,Oby okwesili, prof.Charlse soludo, ndidi onyuike e.t.c ....you remember the yorubas first threw the challenge of Ogun being the first in Nigeria and i told yorubas, who are known for their historical disruption of the truth and natural born liers that we have L.G.As in Anambra that can beat Ogun state as a whole and they challenged me to name some notable Anambra indigenes,am just starting and some are already about taking suicide!am still coming with more, enjoy the reality game.
Wait...did I just read Akunyili, Soludo, etc?? Guy this is getting really stupid and pathetic. What is the achievement in doing your job for which you are paid, trained for, nominated and employed for by your boss (OBJ) at the time? That is no achievement and recognition at all fo doing that otherwise you might as well list the name of everyone, who has ever worked in your state up there! Overrating yourself is bad because up till now, you are still looking for any names to get ti 51 like the original post of which several people you mentioned there are so epic fails in the current discuss. E.g you mentioned a sculptor whose job is the UN, really? Was he not hired and paid for the job? How was that done in the interest of the general good, advancement of Nigerians, etc? If you are fascinated but sculptures, go to the department of Arts at the OAU, Ife and you will find a few dozen ones standing outside, at least for the past few years. Na wah for you people o. And did I read the name of ojuku, a man who studied for MA in history, is not an accomplished published author, meaning he has not birthed any ideas worthy of academic recognition. Instead, he was a warmonger whose actions lead to the killing of over 3 M of his people. He had. I military war command experience before his ill fated experiment during th Biafran war. In the theatre of war, he is not credited with any military strategies like the Blitzkrieg of Erwin Rommel, and legendary similar manoeuvres of George Patton and Benjamin Adekunle. That he is a "hero" in iboland does mean he would. It have been arrested, tried and convicted like Nazi commanders after WW 2 in a serious country that does not give amnesty for the biggest of crimes against humanity. |
BTW, you have only named a list of only 23, remove the obvious fraudulent Emeagwali, you got 22. Now, I see you mentioning psquare, yes they sing but what did they pioneer? Their singing business? I see you mentioning district officer, etc, is it all in the name of finding 50 people to put on your list?? LWKMD! ![]() |
...dont worry am here to deflect some bloated ego!still on Anambra Cyprian Micheal Tansi, beatified by pope and first nigerian to attain that [s]philip Emeagwali world class computer scientist, won 1989 Gordon Bell prize for super computing[/s] prof chinyere stella okunna, first Nigerian proffessor of mass communication. Let me stop at this, coming back with more..hope you noticed those who are the first black man or African to achieve those heights!kparapo yoruba press can nt cover this historical facts!
Tribalist, remove Emeagwali's name from that your list for winning a prize worth about $1,000 and making every kind of ridiculous claims which has been shown to be a fraud! If someone who got only such a price is so big deal in iboland, how about thousands of people like me who got paid thousands of dollars in scholarships in one of the best universities in Nigeria and the West do? This someone who failed his Ph. D candidacy and rather than proving he is even much better, he went to court claiming he was victimized or discriminated on!?? Candidacy exams are done all the time by graduate students and I don't know someone who failed a candidacy after research in an area for 3 years or thereabout, then turns around saying he was discriminated on and that is why he failed! |
Inferiority complex! Typical inferiority! |
Bobandgreat: @cyberG have a sense of humour. Is mmanu not food, and u eat it. Moreover, the man is not Yoruba. Stop trying to win on the internet everytime, remember, somebody drank rat poison. That must be ojuku, who could not stand the fact that his underage wife of yesteryears had become the country bicycle? Na so dem talk am oo. How funny it seems..lol. |
Serves them right! 100.2% votes and this is the crap you get in return from th creek fisherman? Funny how the retardeen keeps fo.oling himself thinking we don't know he is behind all the brouhaha? Was it not how PDP encouraged and birthed militancy in the SS giving guns to criminals who made PH shitty hell in the days of yore? Is the retardeen not in charge of the police again as the IG answers to him? One day, this retardeen will be removed either violently or otherwise, but nothing lasts forever. |
keishik: Pls look away if you have zero sense of humour.Let us see how humorous you feel when ibos are regaled about how much palm oil your fore fathers grew, sold to send your fathers to schools a bit before you kids were born and you lost the silly 1967 - 1970 civil war catastrophically with over 3 M dead. Are you seeing how you would have fared better if only your fathers focused their energies on nmanu rather than having so many renegade iboz killed? |
Where is Ikenna and Afam the bigoted mods to delete this piece of shitty garbage? If you mods don't, it's another proof of what everyone already knows on NL. It's what you would like to do but seeing as anothe fellow ibo does it, you can just close your eyes while pretending is not there. If garbage like this is not removed, there is no need for your to even write long meaningless posts talking about curbing bigotry on NL. |
Funny how ibos are mentioning Anombara on this thread! Inferiority complex will and is killing you quickly...LWKMD! Why not just open your own thread instead of pollution this thread with your usual despicable behaviour? |
Afam4eva: Why not complete it first before naming it after someone. And what does Osun even need an airport for. What a waste.Everyone knows you are a RACIST & TRIBALIST! How can it be a waste when a dime of your entire generation is neither required or needed in the project! Or, must they be crying like you ibo people for the FG to come and do everything for them including wiping their ass? When will we read anything positive being done in your village enclaves and in your home state? Or, are they all amputees in the SE that they cannot function without the West and handouts from the rest of Nigeria? The only important thing for me is that the airport be completed for it will be an investment, even if it doesn't get a lot of traffic yet but it surely will in time! With Ibadan being the second most populated city in Nigeria, add to that businesses and development in that area, they might just do well enough. Regardless, in as much as they can pull it off with their revenue and allocations without a huge debt, that is fine and dandy. Afam, resign your moderatorship of this forum for you are a compromised tribalist with no moral rights to do this job. Go and face your derelict tribal forum with no members and your N 1,000 domain re-seller business. Better, move away from the SW because you are bringing bad karma to that area. You are needed in your iboland for development and losers like you are not wanted!! |
Traitors and betrayers! That is what they all are over there since 1960! ![]() |
