onomeasike: it is fair and righteous in the face of God and man to bring down a wicked man.Tell your principal that he is a wicked man if he is to be judged by his actions and policies.Just today,a friend was close to tears when reporting the PHCN bill he got for his 2-room rented apartment as #15K in september when most people have become broke after paying children's school fees, the same way Jonathan did on January 1 when he struck Nigerians with fuel hike at a time they are broke after spending much on xmas and new year holidays shocked shocked shocked shocked.meanwhile, your principal keeps grabbing and grabbing and expects Nigerians to continue to make sacrifice.God of Host and god of smallpox will make all of you go blind some day, wicked people

Useless yiboe cannibal....it doesn't matter what you think anyway! This government is surely a corrupt and useless one so nothing will surprise anyone if they don't complete it. But you can be sure if that were the case the SWesterners are the most sophisticated people of Nigeria (I don't claim to speak for them, just my opinion) and would probably take ownership of the project even if all the Feds do is 50%. They will complete it on their own...even Lagos generates tens of billions of dollars a year, so a pact between Lagos, Ibadan and Ogun will easily come up with another $1 B dollars to complete the project and own it NOT the Feds. Then, you ibo urchins can go and take their trains for a fee! grin grin

Eko...one thing that was not pointed out in that link is that Oyo city (NOT even Ibadan) has a higher population than both Enugu and Onitsha...let people look at that fact. Now, when you add Ibadan, the population is 3 TIMES greater than the population of Onitsha and Enugu (the biggest cities in iboland). Igbos are inherently stupid and have a permanent inferiority complex since they were bitch-slapped into submission in the civil war. ojukwu ran away and started behaving himself better since he was allowed to return to Nigeria! cool cool grin grin

chino24: This is a waste by the visionless acn Yoruba party. This funds could have been channeled into mechanized and modern agriculture and other purposeful projects. Ibadam is quite rural and there nothing much happening their in terms of economic activities. Its just a 'big' town in terms of huge shanties and planlessness all over the place.

Ibadam biggest city in term of what, all these shanties you call house. Ok let up one picture, just one for to see what you call a city. grin grin
Yibois are indeed foo.ls and jealous for they boast on their emptiness only! How can anyone from Igbo state bad mouth Oyo state (capital in Ibadan) when their GDP outclasses and outpaces that of all Igbo states? Ooops....I think it's because ibos are still living in their uneducated caves and just plain jealous! Lol

Stop this BS blame game of a phantom snitch whether black or not! You must be either ignorant or the type that can not accept responsibility for your own actions. Do you think these countries don't have a much (much) tighter control on everything their government does? I bet you don't know that every person (legally) employed has their records with the government through the human resources development branch of government? So, you think they just collect data to store it like Nigeria uselessly do nothing with every data they claim to collect? Do you not know also that after a tax year, computer bots search through the data and will randomly select tax returns for audit if it follows certain inconsistent patterns or suspect? The point is it is not about any stupi.d hater but 2 girls who have carried there Naija sentiments to a country that tries to continue make laws and enforce them. There is no doubt that this was deliberate and the oyinbo man is not stup.d, every document they ever received would have notes on the limitation of their visa for work. They just thought they could sneak this past the system and now point fingers at how this creates a wrong impression of the country. Rather, it shows that the country enforces their laws, which is the minimum requirement for any progressive society.

It is only "ibo" you saw in the entire write-up you tribalist man? Do you know ibo is the correct word used all over? Do you know that a top ranking politician was almost shot dead in protest at a very public event here last week? The assailants intention was not even to beat him BUT totally kill the useless geezer who is 1,000X better than the floor-wipe Jonathan Goatluck! Who is the useless president you are talking about here? What example or manners has the foo.l set since becoming president or governor? I think Nigerians, if they are indeed like you and have not been compromised like the 40 lapdogs, deserve to die in poverty, unfulfillment and every oppression foo.ish leaders like Daftluck throw at them! It is either you are a little kid of too stupid to realize that those ibos you mentioned are NOT there for tribalistic ibos like you, they are there for the entire country. Obviously, they are all substandard and failures in everything this government does and WILL do and that is reflective of the abysmal display of this clueless government. A losing team is the product of inferior quality and that is the hall mark of this government and the team of thieves and inferior personnel at the helm. At the end of the day, they CANNOT & should not do anything other than the general good of Nigeria not SE or ibos. This kind of thinking is what caused the civil war when the initial calculation of ibos turned completely against them thinking the Hausas will be there to kiss their ass. At the end of the day, they came up with the short end of the stick. Tribalistic ibos like you did it and they got their result, but you seem to know nothing of Nigerian history!
RomanceRe: First to comment by CyberG: 6:57am On Sep 13, 2012
FeelStupid: Cybergy. I do love her. How else can I show and express love? I let her know that I loved her. If I did not why did she hang on till after 5 year. I decided to go because she wasn't going. During the 5 years i brought up the issue of sex and nothing changed. She said she was in love with me. I let her know I loved her too the best way I can. She said she had to feel somehow or something for her to open up. What did I not do to try to let her know I loved her. Clearly we can have sex since we have done almost every other thing. Explain to me though why she is still hanging on to a relationship for 5 years if she is not feeling that somehow or something. Maybe girls on the forum here can help me out. It is beyond me. I think letting her go is good for both of us. I just feel stupid and used though. The feeling will pass with time.
She seemed to love you from what you have said. A girl of about your age who has been with you for so long says something but I understand you want to sleep with her. Like I mentioned (and she said to you), she has to "feel it" not you demand it as a right. You have not earned such right to be candid and asking her again and again is a turn off. I will tell you personally that even for me, (and a lot of other people) if you demand or forcefully expect me to do something I could have done; that attitude would be the only reason I will NOT do it. If you come across as forceful on the issue, it would not work - just respect her wishes and let her know and feel you do! But hey, it's not by force: if you feel strongly about moving on, do just that! If you can guarantee you CAN find someone like her again, your call otherwise, you might have let a great girl who stuck with you go! Generally, most girls who are disvirgined like in this case end up disappointed and she might be wary of that. Remember you said you were class mates, and she might be reasoning even well ahead of you in this matters. Up to a certain age, a girl of the same age as a guy would have grown up faster and more mature if you understand what I mean.
RomanceRe: First to comment by CyberG: 5:47am On Sep 13, 2012
Come, mister you have mixed up issues here. Is it that you are NOT financially ready for marriage that is the issue or you are mad that she hasn't given you here virginity? You are obviously upset and feel played but I don't see what she's actually done wrong. You don't demand or command a girl to give you her virginity, you COULD get it but not this way you are going about it. To make this short, look to see if you really LOVE this girl or you just want to sleep with her and feel you have gotten a just payback from the relationship. I am a guy (and a sharp one, been there done that!) so no need trying to bamboozle us here with confusing stories. LOVE is something girls can feel when you show them, not by buying the whole world for them and when you make them feel "right", you will get everything practically on a platter.

If you really love her, don't waste your time with all this BS about how growing up was tough for you and want to give your kids a better life. You now live in a different country and the kids will be fine when they come, it is NOT Naija you are in. The question is will you find someone that you will love and make you happy like her? If you can answer yes confidently, move on but don't whine about if she gives herself to anyone else! It is her prerogative! If no, use your head: 24/25 is just about a good age to focus your relationship and understand who you might be marrying in 5 years time (like you said)! Or, do you want to start running helter-skelter at 29/30? The choice is yours but don't come and tell us another BS story then!

icon aus: It is high time this get clarrified . Igbos felt betrayed because the agreement Ojukwu had with Awo was that once Igbos secide that the yoruba people would follow suit by declaring their own country but Awo turned around to do the opposite and went further to support   the north in the war  . No time  ojukwu expected the yorubas to help him fight the war.
This is an OLD thread but I can't pass without asking WHAT AGREEMENT did Ojukwu have with Chief Awolowo? When was it signed? Who were the parties?

FYI and before you waste our time and parrot propaganda from ibo tribalist blind-bats: there WAS NEVER ANY AGREEMENT between Chief Awolowo and Ojukwu. Chief Awolowo was laying out strategic vision and providing leadership to "leaders of thought" in far away Ibadan and was not addressing ibos or Ojukwu. There was no internet or real time satellite communication in Nigeria in case Ojukwu was invited and tuned in via any of these technologies. Chief Awolowo, in fact, warned Ojukwu directly not to take the ruinions path, but he vaingloriously did and he (plus the ibos) paid the price for his hard headedness and stiff neckedness!

You don start again with rumours, ba? SR did not say that she's dead but reported speculations from the aides of the president who observed a strange change to his itinerary which would obviously point to the fact that there could have been some serious developments. I think such reportage and speculation is okay as the retardeen government, like Yaradua, has not been forthright or come clean about events. If she's ill, just say it and there will be no need for speculations or rumours.

PoliticsRe: Igbo's Right To Live In, Or Leave Out Of Nigeria! by CyberG: 6:38pm On Sep 09, 2012
Zeus I: Ever before Nigerian independence, Igbos have been facing the problem of 'attacks' in the North (Hausas killing and burning Igbos, their business centers, and houses), 'relocation' in the West (Lagos govt's continuous relocation of Igbos to a new site after developing a waste land), and 'occupation' of properties in the South (Portharcourt occupation of Igbo owned properties after the war). In view of the above reasons; Igbos should be given territories in all of the 36 states of the federation with securities consisting of: Army barracks around the perimeters of their dwellings, Legal protection: to avoid any interference by subsequent govt, and Certificate of ownership for all properties they purchases within the defined territories as the case may be. All to prove that Nigeria is a single entity and avoid marginalisation. Any contrary opinion?
Absolutely, why NOT? But only in iboland and their villages! They can form vigilante to give whatever protection they want among themselves. That said, all the houses built in another man's land will either have to be carried on their heads when they are told to leave, destroyed, bought or confiscated. The best option is for ibos to stay in their iboland where most Nigerians are happy not to have to bother about mostly.

onomeasike: thank you sir.I just dont understand the reason why people who claim to have studied overseas,have a fairly impressive resume,like in the case of Stella Oduah-O,will now come to their fatherland and instead of using that education to liberate their people,will use their education to further pauperize the people.How on earth will a sane educated person drag his/her country into a bogus debt to finance white elephant and silly projects.That kind of education is clearly a waste.The national assembly who are the elected representatives must save us from the hands of these unpatriotic unelected elements.I recommend the investigate thoroughly the following;
1.How much of the tax payers money has already being expended in securing this loan.
2.What is the cost-benefit ratio and value derivable from such projects e.g why should billions of naira be borrowed to upgrade an airport that could barely make returns of up to 1million naira per year undecided
3.Investigate the rationale for sinking borrowed fund into unviable airports. Is it with the plan to build-operate and transfer or new insight that can make the unviable airports become viable e.g what is the new development taking place in kaduna state that can improve traffic in kaduna airport if the airport is upgraded?
4.Find out all the conditions attached to the loan, saying 2% interest is just not enough, the costing and cost evaluation process is the key.Who did the costing to arrive at #106 billion naira. If the condition mandates the Chinese to do the cost evaluation, that clause should be reviewed.Independent project evaluators be brought in so we can avoid the corruption that surrounded the Abuja runway project.
5.The Chinese should not be given the exclusive monopoly for this project if at all,it is approved, the bid should be thrown open to other bidders!!
6.The contract should make it mandatory that registered Nigerian construction companies and professionals be given at least 40% of some of the jobs.
7.The office of the National Security Adviser should be involved, some exceptions should be made to design and operations of sensitive units of these airports and original documents of such designs be domiciled in Nigeria.
8.Subsequent foreign loan acquisition should be endorsed by at least two-thirds of the national assembly.A lid should be placed on these spurious loans.
9.The number of airports to be upgraded or rebuilt should be reduced.Funding should be directed at establishment of a standard aeronautical services centre in Nigeria.
10.EFCC should be called in to investigate all the financial records submitted to the national assembly because clearly, something is fishy!
Guess what, you make a lot of SENSE. Even if everyone does not agree to all the 10 points you listed here but it would be a very strong position from which other issues could be addressed. I understand your point on keeping the design documents in Nigeria but you know the kind of leaders in Nigeria? Too stupid, they are the ones that place all our secrets at jeopardy to the outside world and we needed WikiLeaks to find out how the so called leaders sabotage and sell out the country at will. Most of Nigeria's leaders and people are too concerned about stealing or making a quick buck but NOT the long term implications for the country or coming generation. Sadly, it is a reflection of the type and quality of leaders Nigerians have now. To make matters worse, the current administration is led by a clueless man who cannot even appreciate the value of the intellectual property rights or "secrets" involved here. Things cannot change until Nigerians demand a radical change from the status quo and only elect leaders who truly care about the country and people and will have them on their toes for the entire period of their administration.
