She has this pain in her right leg, we thought it was rheumatism but it wasn't, she was told to shed weight which she did. Stop eating this and that, stop doing that and those, be exercising all of which she has been strictly adhering to until it seems the story is the same...

Please open a thread on this in the health section. Also consider taking your mom to a teaching hospital or government orthopaedic hospital. Several things can cause pain and there are tests to detect them using special equipments which can be found mainly in the aforementioned places at relatively affordable prices.
May your mom be healed.

Ideally, power/current ratings should be at the rated output voltage of a system. What the manufacturers are doing is borderline fraud since 3.7V is not an output voltage from the power bank.

I mean some smartphones double up as powerbanks with OTG reverse charging if I'm correct.

3.7V is the standard for lithium polymer battery cells. That's why obtaining exact 5V is difficult. Only multiples of 3.7 can be obtained by connecting 2 or more cells in series.

You are welcome sir.

The best and safest way to check the charging system is with a voltmeter.

However, a crude method is to start the vehicle with a good battery, then remove the battery. If the car stalls, then the charging system is faulty. This method sets your vehicle electronics at risk and is hence not generally recommended.
