Kill the messenger when his message becomes too hot to handle. It amazes me how christians on this thread didn't bother to watch the debate and comment on the points made in the debate. They will rather attack the person of Richard Dawkins needlessly. What is even more amazing is those who has never published any peer reviewed scientific journal or contributed anything to science or human knowledge can call a world-renowned and world - celebrated scientist a dunce, just because his statements disagreed with their religious beliefs. Face it, guys, dogmatic faith is dying already, scientific knowledge is advancing and religion is on its way out. There is so much religion can do to suppress scientific evidences and truths that debunks dogmatic and superstitious religious beliefs Our great grandchildren will read threads like this and laugh at how their fore fathers used to believe the superstitious stories of the Bible and the Quran 3 Likes |

Dr. Gregory House said “If you could reason with religious people , there would be no religious people.” People are not reasoned into religion. It's almost impossible to reason them out of it. Just keep presenting your facts, logic and reason. The seeds will germinate one day. That, I am sure of. In my own case, I started questioning my religion about 5 years ago. But I didn't drop religion till around last year. Thanks to Avicenna and his epic thread about giving up on religion and God. So don't get tired. The seeds will germinate. @OP, Do you know the meaning of Satanism. Do you realise that there is no difference between Yahwehism (Christianity) and Satanism. Yahweh is not different from Satan. They are both fictional entities. (Actually in the christian Harry Potter book known as the Bible, Yahweh actually commited more atrocities than Satan did).  Both of them are simply make-believe constructs that mankind had invented and had been using to explain unknown realities. E.g. Ancient people dont know how the world began, therefore yahweh did it. Another example: ancient people dont know what causes diseases, therefore satan did it.. Etc etc etc 3 Likes |

Let me simplify it as much as possible so that your foolish and darkened atheistic mind can grasp it. You see, christianity is very special because nobody can convince me otherwise. I know that i know that i know that i know that christianity is the only way to reach God. In christianity, God himself came down to reach out to man and desire to have fellowship with man, therefore you can see that christianity is more than a just a religion. It is a personal relationship with God. That is why christians dont see their religion as a religion but as a personal relationship. Atheism on the other hand is a religion because atheists worship something else other than the most high god. This is actually idolatry, because they worship their intellect and human wisdom (and consequently worshipping the devil) instead of worshipping the living God. Therefore, atheism is a religion. I hope you understand now and wont ask this foolish question again. You got nerve, how dare you call christianity a religion, you this devil worshipper. |

For instance, I'm waiting for when christians will admit that the whole human race DID NOT descend from the biblical Adam and Eve, cos I wonder maybe either of the first couple were Negro or Asian or Caucasian (white) OR God may have created different Adams and Eves each for those 3 major categories of the human races. And yet consider your religion the most"tolerant" and "loving." 8 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some crazy people rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove"Christianity. 9 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. truthislight: simple. We are in the information age with internet and telecommunications. For starters, just do a little research about the true origins of any religions and how those religions evolved over the period of time from its beginning up till now. In case of christianity and islam, try and also read the entire bible and quran for exactly what it says, not what you are taught it says and you will easily see that they are not more than what some ancient men has written. |
