And many of us still think the make up of the federal police is better as it is, and see no reason for a radical change.

I know the OP will understand better. Nigeria, Lagos and all states need their own police. At worst divide Nigeria into six regions, and allow them have their own autonomous policing.

#teaminsupportofstatepolice#
What has State Police got to do with a DRUNKEN POLICE OFFICER WIELDING A WEAPON?
Are you telling us that a 'State police' cannot get drunk while on duty?

Or you are just angling for a Police Force that your Governor can use to harass and intimidate the citizens and Political opponent?
Abeg, we cant add State Police to the power-drunkenness of Criminal Governors like Wike of Rivers or Fowl-Yose of Ekiti

I'm sorry about this bro.
But I think your pictorial evidence and your statement doesn't fit.
You said he came to the drivers side asking you to move, tnen pointing a gun at you which he later shot at you from close range.
But from the pictures I'm seeing shows bullet hole at the right back seat. Again, the injury you sustained is on your left shoulder, which shouldn't be , considering the position of the bullet hole on the headrest and the supposed position of your shoulder.
I really don't understand and I'm surprised nobody pointed this out
With due respect Sir, you are missing the point!

I will attribute your problem to what is called in Physics/Optic, "Lateral Inversion".
It occurs when you look at things through a mirror or through the lens of a Camera and the IMAGE (what you are seeing) is said to be "Laterally Inverted"!

Look at the picture properly again:
You will see that since we drive on the left, the Steering is on the left side, he will be shot on the left shoulder (since he is facing the front windscreen).
The Bullet, which will pierce/graze his shoulder at his backside (he was leaning forward a bit, to protect his head while the Police killer is shooting from an angle/line of sight that is going from front-to-back) will go into his chair (as shown) and exit on the back right door (straight line).

So, the guy is right, you are the one who is getting confused.

I am happy for the Op! May God continue to protect you.

These Police men are just animals, and they get drunk while on duty, brandishing an AK47 Assault Rifle! shocked shocked

How do you allow a drunken illiterate to hold a weapon in Public?
When will our Police I.G ban Police from drinking while on duty?
How many people need to be murdered in cold blood, before these animals in Uniform are taken off the streets?

It should be an automatic sack, if a Policeman is breathalysed while on duty and found to be DRUNK.

Just Google any question you have, since you have access to internet.

Anyway, the below are the links you need, to get all the information you want:

http://www.immigration.gov.ng/index.php?id=50 --- This one tells you about the various types of Passport and the REQUIREMENTS to obtain one.

https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pages/passportguidelines --- This one is the PORTAL of the Immigration Service, where you start the application ONLINE.

Read them properly, start the application, get a date, print it out and then go to their office in Festac (nearest to Badagry).

Dont approach Touts, you may be defrauded. Go direct to the Immigration Staff at their office.

I am looking at the thickness/thinness of your German floor and l am not comfortable at all. I hope your Decking is done to standard thickness.
I am looking at the size of your columns and wondering if that size is standard or should be thicker?
Can you tell your Builder to use Stone Dust (as against sharp sand) for the Decking and columns please.
You will thank me latter for that. It only costs a tiny fraction more but the advantages arr unquantifiable.

NaijaMutant:
Dele Momodu is another sore loser of the Tinubu APC faction who has been sidelined by the daura cabal in aso rock.

They are unofficially wailing through different means and channels but we are not buying it cos if the daura cabal had not sidelined Tinubu and his loyalists which includes Dele, all this wailing epistles wouldn't have been written.

Watch as they rewrite history so quickly, praising a man they so maligned 18months ago.

Expect more praises of GEJ and more criticisms of Buhari from these political nonentities called loyalist, even though well educated but lack any will of their own, they sheepishly follow the orders of the godfather, they love whoever he loves and hate whoever he hates huh
These sets of humans are worse than Buhari's zombies undecided
Anyone that has known Dele Momodu, from his days when he ran to London to claim Asylum (lying that Nigeria is persecuting him!), to those he stayed with when he got to London, to when he started his "junk" magazine whose only intent and purpose is to celebrate and glorify ill-gotten wealth being flaunted by those who looted Nigeria, from the likes of IBB, to Abacha (the same military men he told Britain were after his life, for Asylum purposes!), to when he decided that he also wanted to "chop his own share of the National yam" and therefore foolishly announced that he is contesting for President (what an insult to the psyche of this country!), anyone who knew him that much knows that he is just a "greedy man-of-the belly" looking for who can repay him with a political appointment.

Bob-Dee is just an opportunist who will say ANYTHING to get noticed and probably rewarded!
In the political space of Nigeria, Dele Momodu is a NOBODY!

Ofcourse, those who know why Trump won the election, those who follow the trend in the rise of Right-Wing, extremist Nationalism, not just within America but all across Europe, from the rise of Pegida in Germany, to the rise of Maren LePen in France, to the building of another 4Meter-high "Berlin Wall" in Hungary, to the undeclared reasons for Brexit in Britain, know that anti-immigration and outright racism is what sold trump to the Americans (Republicans) in a confirmed display of sheer ignorance and hatred, much more like that which the pro-Jonathan "Wailers display everywhere! Hillary herself came to the floor with a lot of baggage, having being in Public and Politics for over thirty years.

What sycophants like Dele Momodu forget is that Americans can afford to be crassly ignorant because they dont have the likes of Jonathan, Dasuki, Olisah Metuh, Femi Fani Fakayode, Alex Badeh, Patience Jonathan, Stealler Oduah, Bukola Saraki, Corrupt National Assembly members, shamelessly corrupt Judges of our Courts and many more, to contend with, Nigeria is a different kettle of fish!

No sane Nigerian will trust the likes of all the above with our National Asset or Purse.

The fact that Buhari seems to have signed a 'Secret Pact' with Jonathan not to probe him, as a convention with other Ex-Presidents, si the incentive that Jonathan is having to now use the looted funds to further fund dissent in the polity, incite his region against the sitting Govt and white-wash his dirty image with 'paid-for lectures and awards' amongst obscure and hungry groups.

You know what, Jonathan should test his popularity once again, by asking to be nominated by PDP for a presidential ticket.
or he can as well float his own party afterall, he has looted more than enough money, with his kleptomanic wife, to buy the votes of foolish and ignorant folks.

Trump predicted he would win an election in America, almost twenty years ago, not because he was good or wanted but because he reckoned correctly, on the "racism-laced, acute ignorance' of his Republican base.

Dele Momodu is a shameless, hungry, political Jobber, he should just STFU.

This is a sad report and our heart goes out to the family of the Pastor. he should never have died this way.

Having said that, in any normal society, "normal people" will be more concerned about WHY and WHAT led to the Pastor being in that situation in the first place.

If he was not kidnapped by criminal elements, he sure wont be in the line of fire, when the military tried to rout out the Kidnappers.

*Sensible Citizens would be worried about how and where these Criminals got all the weapons they use in terrorising the citizens and engaging the Army
*Sensible citizens would be concerned that Kidnapping has become the first employer of Yoots in the country, especially from the Eastern parts of the country!

*Sensible people will come together to tackle those Politicians like Jonathan and Wike and their PDP criminals who buy weapons for the same Yoots, to foster election violence, same weapons that is now diverted to kidnapping when election is over.

*Sensible citizens would know that at times, rescue operation get botched but will still appreciate the effort of the Govt to rescue the victims.

*Sensible citizens would examine the narrative and be objective enough to know that the Army did not deliberately kill this man and from their explanation, it is the Kidnappers that have the motive, as in most rescue operation, to kill the victim first, before any rescue canbe successful.

The Army may have made the mistake of publishing his picture alongside that of the Kidnappers (just to increase count numbers, which l find very reprehensible and should be condemned) but to say the Army killed him is silly.

*I agree that the Govt should compensate the family as a form of assistance to the Children and for labelling him wrongly but to accuse the Govt of killing him is absurd.

*Sensible people will be more interested in providing information to the Security forces, to rid their environments of Kidnappers instead of attacking the Security forces on the pages of news outlets.

It is noteworthy to observe that even the Yoots of the Society who were asked to escort the family into the bush, demanded for as much as #750,000! That is how conscienceless our these maggots have become. No single drop of "humanity or human service" in them, its all about MONEY.

I think the issue of 'anticipatory guilt' is very much sensible particularly because he has not be pronounced guilty by a court of law, so terminating his appointment on a case that is yet to be decided is overkill.
Perhaps his termination was not linked to the case, and they just used the opportunity to fire him as I heard most banks are currently downsizing. But it still doesn't look good either way.

Thanks for your insight.
Thank you for your post.
I will have love to address it now but l have something requiring my attention right now.

I tell you.
If you fall into the hands of a karasheka, you are as good as finished.
Imagine losing your plum job and being arraigned for attempted murder.
Anyway, if the marriage had broken down, the guy should have accepted that fact, sought for a divorce and moved on with his life, who knows if fate might bring a more loving and faithful lady his way.
This is where most Nigerian men need to WAKE-UP and face reality!

*Our culture gives Men the impression that they are "The Boss" of the family (rightly so, but no longer applicable in this wicked Ipad-age!).

*Most Men feel they can manage any situation within their household, without outside hlep.

*Most Men consider it a weakness, if they should tell people about how thier wife is physically and psychologically abusing them!

*How many men would "open agree" that their wife has slapped them but they took it on the chin, just to keep the family together and not let outsiders know what is going-on? But under their roof, many men suffer in silence. Look at this John, he kept quiet until he was almost rail-road into jail. The last straw that make him speak out was the job sacking! undecided

*Culture also means that we dont want to go the divorce route, when the signal alarms are sounding.

*Most men believe they can always "command" their wife to clam down forgetting that once a woman cheats on you, by their human nature, the marriage is dead (Men cheat for a fling, adventure but women mostly cheat because they are in-love with their accomplice!

*Most men would not open-up to another man, about what they are facing in their individual homes while women onthe other hand, are noted to compare notes and give support to themselves, in a marriage break-down.

*In foreign countries, the Men are waking-up and form support groups to lend each other "experience" about how to challenge some of the "ancient tactics" that women use, to get away with blue murder!

So, in summary, it is not always easy for a Nigerian man (or any man for that matter) to jump at a divorce!
But l think Men should consider Divorce, rather than using brute force to make a wife do what is right. You'll only ruin your life for a woman not worth it.... better ones are around the corner if you look properly and learned from your past experience

Just ask her to move-in with her chosen lover, arrange the children's "welfare and safety" (you dont want one Uncle to be fiddling with your daughters/sons, when he is done with their Mother and she is out of sight! It happens a lot though), then file for a Divorce.
Also make sure that she does not profit from your sweat so, from the onset, men need to think about how they tie-down their properties and how they include their wife's name in the said property.
When shyt hits the fan, Women will deal with their husband in a very callous way. By then Love does not matter one bit".

Anyhoo, they kept asking me who exactly said John Edobor was fired by Zenith Bank for this case and all we could see was that the lawyer representing Ivie Edobor wrote that he sent an email to Zenith Bank and someone (some unnamed official) made a phonecall to him stating he was fired because of it. That so far, Zenith Bank has not released any official statement. One of the lawyers said that it was weird that lawyers would NOT know that a termination is based on whatever contract an employee signed with his employer and Zenith Bank cannot willy-nilly fire anyone just like that for any reason, that the Banking Union can easily take up the case of wrongful termination. So if John Edobor got fired, he got fired for breaching some part of the contract he signed with Zenith Bank as per his employment. They all wondered why you two were speculating based on unverified reports that Zenith Bank had fired John Edobor for this case. A fact I kept mentioning but you ignored. Both lawyers asked if you and Daboomb had ever studied Contract Law and one asked for your name , since you mentioned a lecturer. If you would to speak to them, please let me know: I'm sure you know better than they do and you would like a chance to argue your position smiley
See this clown trying to rewrite HISTORY!
You think everyone is not so intelligent as not to keep tabs on what they say?
You and your dull, charge and bail SAN that you are talking to! grin grin

Abeg, park well, whoever you are representing in this matter, on Nairaland.

FYI, l studied more than just Contract Law! undecided
But that is neither here nor there, intelligence, native intelligence is what you and your Lawyers lack, apart from being wishy-washy Lawyers, if l can even call you a Lawyer.

and BTW, l am sure "onegai" is your legal name, right? dindinrin.

All these fight between spouse is getting out of hand.

But even more mind-boggling is if all men insist on doing a DNA of their children, at a certain point in time!
A lot of Men will be shocked at how many bastard children they are rearing as their own, not knowing Madam was just giving them to train!

One DNA firm in Abuja claimed that in all their tests, over 65% of children being reared by Men, are not their biological children and when it comes to first born, the figure is over 85%!

It means chances are that majority of Nigerians are rearing the child of another man, as their first born!

I hope that sinks-in for all men reading this?
"Quietly" Do a DNA test of your children, at least to be very certain they are yours.

It does not cost much (20K in some places!)

If this Zenith man did not get informed that Uncle Mathew comes to sleep overnight, like many men, the man would have had another set of Bastards to nurse for the rest of his life.
But the woman, when exposed, decides to murder the fetus!
How many are right now, concealing such a secret from their husband?

It is not anticipatory guilt, unless you read his letter of termination and it explicitly said he was fired because of this case, they can and will get away with it. Zenith Bank has been firing lots of people in the past one month, shedding jobs. Good luck him trying to prove he got fired because of this case when others got letters of termination the same week as he did. Please go and represent him in a civil suit against Zenith Bank, please grin

You are the person shedding hot bitter tears about her morals and he being worried about influence on his daughters and that made him justified. Look who's being emotional and non-objective. Again, show me the law that states "hey, beat up your immoral spouse, it's totally cool'. Email me when you do.
Anticipatory: action taken in lieu of an EXPECTED OUTCOME.

No court has convicted the man of being guilty, so he could be guilty of Innocent.
For now neither we nor Zenith Bank knows how the case will go.
Any action (like that of Zenith) taken to punish him for an action for which his guilt is yet to be declared by a lawful court is ANTICIPATORY, in that they (Zenith) anticipated that he would be declared guilty and convicted.

You surprise me, that you dont understand this basics, ...and you lay claim to being a learned person? huh huh

BTW: I dont think you have read the letter sent to Zenith by the NGO and the response of Zenith.
I have read both, online.

Ahswear this thread should be retitled "Male Tears" cheesy

I wonder what will happen if they actually knew women who had gotten away with actual murder of their spouses. Good lawyers got the Murder charges dropped to lesser charges and more reasonable sentences. If Ivie gets a SAN, John is going to jail. Next time I see a wife who has poisoned her husband, I will raise funds for the best Criminal lawyer in town to defend her, just so I can watch their blood boil here grin cheesy
Now, l can confirm that you are a fraud, if you ever claim to be a Lawyer.
Real Lawyers dont get so emotionally involved in a matter the way you are whining about it here!

if you are a Lawyer yourself, you wont need to raise fund to defend someone, YOU will defend them prono bono or for free.

You are more of a Man-hater, wanna-be feminist.

Now Gerrahea before you get jailed for impersonation.
