SaiOsinbajo:At the bolded. I agree with you 100%, concerning the bolded. There are "saboteurs" in the East and the average SE person prefers to fester his own nest, at the expense of the 'collective' and that has always been the game, since after the Civil war but it is wrong to kill your own, in the name of eradicating Saboteurs. But l disagree with you completely, about the level of Insecurity between the SE and the North. The simple difference between both is that the Insecurity in the North is deliberate, orchestrated by Jihadist in Power and it can be eradicated within a few Months, if the Govt wants to but it is not to their interest to do so. Those Terrorists/bandits/Herdsmen are foot soldiers for the Caliphate in their envisaged War with Southern Nigeria. Everyone knows what is in the mind of these terrorists and their plan for a "forced unity" Nigeria but they will fail eventually. In the East, the Insecurity is fueled by the same terrorist Fulani Herdsmen from the North, supported by Nigerian military, with the sole aim of taking-over indigenous land right across Nigeria and used as a TRAP for Igbos that are naturally boastful, lacking in critical thinking, knowing that they will react and bight the bait. You can hear Malami wanting to declare State of Emergency in IMO but Kaduna is burning, Kano and Katsina are hotbeds of terrorism, many LGAs are governed by terrorists in Zamfara, Niger, etc but all those ones does not call for a SOE and change of Governor to Sole Administrator? Las las, l know Nigeria will break up peacefully or by Civil War (most likely), within the next few years, my humble Opinion though. |

Nigeria became "Poverty Capital" of the World, under Buhari's regime, is that how he improved your standard of living? To reduce Poverty, you first need to ensure there is Security of Lives and Property, in this, your Buhari has failed woefully, as he is the one of the enablers of Insurgency in Nigeria Secondly, the Govt needs to ensure that Power is Stable, so that Entrepreneurship can Grow. Small Scale Business is the surest way to eradicate poverty. Thirdly, You build on Infrastructure (Roads, Rail, Water Transport, Housing, etc) Fourth: You Invest in Agriculture, nationwide. As in Modern Agriculture, not the Evil RUGA he is trying to use to steal indigenous Lands for his imported Terrorists. All other things will follow by themselves. NaBanga:You are Right. All he needs now, based on the environment, is close, almost 24hrs Attention/Care and mybe some Vitamin tablets. A young Boy, under close monitoring as well (because this generation is naturally wicked), should be employed to look after his basic needs like bathing, defecating, feeding, exercising in the Sun, keeping his Bed Clean and neat, etc while they just supervise his duties and oay him handsomely. An extended family member would have been best but nowadays, TRUST is defecient in most Nigerians, including family members and even the younger one. CAUTION is the Word. |

ACN - SW CPC - North - Tell me, out of these two parties that formed the APC, who is the Major party and who is the junior party, in APC? - How many States did the Northern CPC win, before coalescing into APC? - How many States did the SW ACN win, before coalescing into APC? These are FACTS, as opposed to emotion. See, l can bet you that APC will put down a Southern Candidate in 2023 though l hope they are not foolish enough to put down Tinubu or he is not myopic enough to offer himself because they will lose the general election, if he was the candidate, as against someone like Osinbande or Fashola. As for PDP, which is the domain of Igbos, something tells me that Igbos will be cheap enough to settle for VP, as they have always done (and then cry "marginalisation" later), just to spite the SW. In a free and fair election (with Electornic transmission fo result,) the North will lose against the South because they dont have the Population. All these noise they make about "the numbers" is a fluke, they have land-mass but it is mostly barren lands, we see the area pictures every now and then but Buhari is bent on Rigging the Election Results, which is why he and his sidekicks in the NASS dont want to sign the Electronic transmission of Result Bill into Law. It will be an unimaginable disaster for the Fulanis to rule for another 8yrs but if it happens, Igbos will be the people who voted for them and they will have themselves to blame eternally. Stroke is Paralysis in the Nervous System. As bad as it is, your Dad is not in Pain, only that he cant move his limbs or do al those things that require 'control". Where then is thi s "My father is in pain" coming from? I agree that it can be very challenging and exhausting, even frustrating, to care for someone invalid btu it can happen to anybody, including YOU! Will YOU want your Life snuffed out by the Child you sired and raised to University level, just because you cant move or help yourself? Dont even think about it moreover, you will be charged for MURDER because our Laws does not recognise such "mercy-less" killing. And if you escape the Govt, you will not escape God's Judgement for killing a living being, no matter how paralysed that being is. We dont have enough information about his condition, to be able to make useful suggestion that might improve his situation, l have seen a few completely paralysed people regain their motor-control, gently over time. Can he recognise those around him? It appears he can eat (otherwise he wont survive that long). Do you exercise his limbs/muscles regularly? Was the Paralysis from an Accident to the Backbone or other reasons like BP, Stress, etc? Have you tried Alternative Medicine? Do you have siblings that can help out occasionaly? Your Mum wanting to Opt out is typical of most Black Women, their loyalty cannot be relied upon extensively. I am certain that if she opted out and, say after a few years, the Man become better and won a Lottery, she would come back and claim "I am his Wife". You will marry one day and realise Women are all the same, even though Men like to delude themselves that their own is different. Please keep trying, there are blessings attached to what you are doing, which you might not be aware of. Each time you bath and feed your Father, though he might not be able to talk, his soul is offering prayers for you (and it will be a curse if you kill him or abandon him, as your Mum wanst to do) and this sort of prayer are like "gum", they stick. Later in Life, you will remeber and reflect the statement l made above. Tingotoe:Your post suggests that you are actually aware that the SE does not deserve and cannot Win a SW candidate, within the APC, because they have not sown or invested over time, in the APC but rather in the PDP. The Presidential Election of Nigeria is not a 'dash", even if it was zoned to you, you still have to Win the Elections. I guess the SE would learn a lesson from this, when we were advising them back then in 2015, not to put all their Eggs in One Basket. Back then, Igbos use to insult any of their Sons, like Joe Igbokwe who dares associate with the APC (I remeber you lots calling him Commission for Gutter Cleaning, in Lagos State )But here you are wanting the same APC you claim you will never belong to, to serve you its Presidential Ticket Ala Carte, while jumping over the SW who laboured in APC, spent their money and time in the APC,, who deliberately conceded their Slot to the North on two Occasions, when it is now time to reap from their Sweat! \ Are you for real? That is the very definition of GREED, trying to reap where you never sowed. What is fair in that? Greed is not Fairness. But take it from me, the North wants Presidency more than any other region and will not mind throwing you the usual Biscuit of a useless, figure-head V.P role, just like Osinbajo is suffering in the last six years but what would never happen is for the North to allow you smell that Aso Rock, even if you are President for the next Fifty years. In contrast, the North, if perhaps you assist them to the Presidency in 2023, will come back begging the SW in 2027, to become President and make themselves the VP and in that arraignment, Igbos would lose out for another one or two decades. Any sensible Region will weigh their options: 1) Patience for the SW in 2023, that will guarantee them 8yrs at the Presidency, with a solidarity in place that can even change the Political arrangement of the country (Regionalism and True Restructuring/Federalism) or 2) Usual Spiteful behaviour driven by GREED, that would give them one or at most two cycles of V.P. and then be booted back to where they have been for the past 50yrs. I know what a Greedy and Spiteful Race that lives on instant gratification, will opt for and that is not surprising. #Sophistication is not by Mouth, it is by winning strategy. NB: You can be Clever by "WHOLE" too, or your brain don dull nii? Has your cleverness all these decades, ever helped you achieve your goals? |

Let us assume the Presidency of both Party is zoned to the South. that is APC and PDP must produce a Southerner as President. It now remains: Where in the three zones APC will chose its President from and same thing goes for PDP PDP can decide to give it to the SE or SW so let us examine why and who it will give it to: If the PDP decides to give it to the SW, l will be opposed ot that, WHY? The SE has worked had and supported the PDP through thick and thin, since 1999, till date. They voted massively for PDP candidates in 2015 and did same in 2019 and it will only be fair that they get the Presidntial ticket of the PDP/ The SW on the other hand, has not voted or supported the PDP, whether in 2015 or 2019/ On the APC side, we all know that the Party is basically 75% ACN, a SW party, with CPC making up the remaining 25%. So, we wont be wrong to say the SW created and nurtured this party, from AD in 1999, to ACN in 2011 to APC in 2015. The SW voted massively for APC in 2015 and in 2019, allowing Buhari a Northerner, to be President for 8yrs. The arrangement within the APC is also that the Candidate of its junior member, the CPC (Buhari) will have the go first, to foster trust, while it will them go after their own candidate. So it is only natural for the APC to nominate a SW President, to compensate them for their investment and support in the APC. The Igbos did not support the APC in 2015 and 2019, they supported the PDP. As we can see, the matter has diced itself clearly, each Party should nominate the Region of the South, that supported in in 2015 and 2019, as a reward for that support. PDP = SE APC = SW Each of these Region cannot win election by itself, so it is now left to them to go around the Middle Belt and the North, to canvass for support, to finally win the General Election. This is the only fair and democratic principle, where everyone reaps, where they have sowed. 2 Likes |

Abujason:I wont abuse you as you have chosen to do because our upbringing are basically so different. Having said that, my post was based on what a lot of Igbos have written on various threads, including this one, on Pg 1. If you care to read, you will see it there. I am in support of the Presidency being zoned to the South, by all Political Parties. I am also in support of the SS, SE and SW, coming to an arrangement, documented in Writing and made into an enforceable Contract (to avoid the greed and pretense of Buhari in 2019 when he said "where was it written that Presidency will be shared, between North and South of APC", when the SW supported him in 2015.) . In such way, the Regions can have a go at it, in an orderly fashion, ensuring that they put forward their "Best Brains" to manage their Slot, such that hss tenure will become the envy of other regions. |
