tchigofigo: i see a repeat of d scenerio dt cost us a wrld cup place in 2006..where we needed jst a draw..bt went all out 2 secure a win wit carelessness, dn conceded at d death 2 tie 2:2..giving Angola our rightful place...we must apply caution!
bros you've forgotten recent history so soon. we won our last 2 games back then, scoring 10 goals in those matches, but failed to qualify on head-to-head because we drew with angola in kano.

Politics › Re: Lagos Ranked 4th World’s Worst City by dabossman(m): 2:30pm On Sep 01, 2013
Its like some of us dont even read between the line. This report just insulted us from North to South. Rapid development in Lagos will attract Boko Haram and Kidnappers. And where are these unwanted elements going to migrate into Lagos from? Aha, now you see how they insulted your region too. Keep laughing o!
Politics › Re: Lagos Ranked 4th World’s Worst City by dabossman(m): 2:15pm On Sep 01, 2013
I'm guessing this is the same kind of trashy foreign report that labelled Calabar unsafe and allowed Malawi to throw insults at us. Smh at all those who are here rejoicing because its Lagos. News flash, foreigners think our whole country is crap and that includes your city, town and village.

Chillypelly: You forgot to write that he awarded contract for the clearing of his pubic hair. All what you mentioned are 2nd fidel local council projects. Ask me for achievements from edo state when this sycophancy clears from your eyes.
You know I find guys like you very funny. If a certain governor executes some projects, you folks will say it is elitist and has no direct effect on the poor. Now another is affecting the grass roots and you are labelling it "2nd fidel (fiddle) local council projects". I wonder what you lot gain from unnecessarily bad mouthing everything associated with one party or one region? Can't you just be objective?
Politics › Re: Okupe - “APC Is A Shameless Party, They Plagiarized Pdp’s Manifesto” by dabossman(m): 11:22am On Aug 27, 2013
What is Doyin Okupe going on about? Where is the plagiarism? Is it not the same thing that politicians have been promising us for the past 30 years?

I will give you light, water, good roads, better health care, improved education, diversified economy, blah, blah, blah...

Only when you fix these basics can we truly have manifestos that are different in ideology and electoral promises.
Politics › Re: Hit And Run Vehicle Kills Middle-Aged Man At Onipanu Bus Stop by dabossman(m): 1:06pm On Aug 26, 2013
metti: You are wrong, there is a pedestrian bridge at Garrison just close to the new hospital. The problem is the distance of the bridge to the junction as a result pedestrians have abandoned it.
Thank you very much for this comment. You see sometimes you might have to walk about 30-50 metres to the pedestrian bridge before crossing and another 50 metres back to your destination on the other side, but Naija people don't have that patience. This is the same reason why almost everyone wants commercial buses to stop right in front of their house instead of the designated bus-stop. Just because they don't want to take a walk.

There are two pedestrian bridges at Oshodi barely 50 metres apart, and people still dash across the road. Better late than sorry folks.

TV/Movies › Re: Five Ways Hollywood Movies Are As Bad As Nollywood Movies. by dabossman(m): 10:26am On Aug 25, 2013
Nice and humorous write up Senbonzakura. Sadly some folks failed to read between the lines and get your point. I've always said the problem with Nollywood storylines is not exactly predictability, but how the plot plays out. Its the boring scenes with crappy dialogue that lends nothing to the story that irritates me. Even if oga pastor will come and save the day, engage us from scene to scene first now. We can then at least say good movie but the ending was crappy.
Politics › Re: Abubakar Shekau, May Have Die Of Gunshot Wounds – JTF by dabossman(m): 8:03am On Aug 20, 2013
All those asking for Shekau's body before they believe must be joking. Did you see Osama's body before you believed? And no, Zero Dark Thirty doesn't count.

Abeg JTF when una ready make una tell me, make I come shoot my Nollywood version of the movie jare. Segun Arinze will play Shekau, Chidi Mokeme and Saint Obi will lead the JTF sting operaton. Rita Dominic can be the unrelenting SSS Officer that discovers his location. Seun did you say Tonto Dike? Oh, now!

Okay, Tonto Dike will be the leader of the 70 virgins that will meet Shekau at Shaitan's gate. Are you happy now?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Mother Of Dead Cairo Reporter Publishes Gut-wrenching Final Text Messages by dabossman(m): 5:51pm On Aug 16, 2013
druid06: It wasn't an insult or a disrespect of any sort. If I wanted to be disrespectful of someone else's faith, I'm sure I have a lot of derogative terms for that in my diction. My previous post was more of a food for thought. I'm tired of religion being it Islam, Christianity, Judaism and others as always the tool for destruction and hatred. Religion on most part has caused more good than harm but yet we still follow blindly in their doctrine. The mother prayed for the protection and safety of her daughter on phone but it seems if fell on deaf ears which touched a spot in my heart and angered me. There're millions of people of there praying to their God's in the own way for peace and unity but it seems all the God's has turned their backs on them but yet we still follow in their ways and act as tools for destruction for them. Why can't we just toss religion aside and use our common sense. Love ourselves like we would love our own children and let peace reigh instead of allowing religion to dictate and control our lifes. Just saying.
Hhm, so in your opinion religion is the problem and not the way people choose selfishly to interpret it. You say we should use our common sense. Okay. But isn't that in itself subjective? What is an act of common sense to you might practically be illogical to the next man. Do you know how many "common sense" actions have created havoc in the world we live in? I'm sure there are many wars that were fought on what seemed logical to one group and impractical to another. God did not create robots. The problem of the world is man's selfish logic and not "religion".
