Y do all this bias and tribalistic bigots wants d head of dis woman in the gallows, is she the first to loot? I xpect people to demand that a law for looting treasury of any gov or private firm be established intead of post and making silly remarks.
And did we all not come together on this same forum to castigate Farouk Lawan while that scandal raged? Did we not do the same with Bode George and Dimeji Bankole? Did most of us on this forum not rejoice when Ibori was jailed in the Uk? Did we not show our displeasure at the pardon giving to Alameisigha? Did the majority of people on Nairaland keep quiet then?

So, now we should keep quiet because the said lady is our sister from the east? Now it is bias and tribalism, right? SMH.

eGuerrilla: ^^^
What a bunch of lucky sods these visiting dignitaries are. I bet they travel in armoured vehicles in their respective countries too.
And wait, if 12 of them were to arrive at ago, you either get a few to board molue to their destination or you turn the BMWs into a shuttle service.

Whoever authored this piece of hogwash must think we were all born yesterday.
Arrant nonsense!
Hahahaha..., my sentiments exactly. I bet those guys are chauffeured around with armoured vehicles wherever they go. It must be standard global procedure for Aviation organizations to own armoured vehicles to ferry ICAO officials and their ilk around. Oh, yeah Nigeria is not safe right? Next every ministry will be purchasing armoured vehicles to move their foreign visitors around.
My thoughts on this whole issue after deliberate review:

The thing is that while she may be corrupt, we know that some other corrupt forces are also trying to oust her out of office. Let us not doubt that media agents are operating under this motive.

The "gang-up" article on Stella comes to mind.

If we succeed in getting rid of Stella, have we really solved one battle against corruption?

Or are we substituting one corrupt form for another?

The only way to rid Nigeria of some corruption is to tear the entire machine down.

Almost all the personalities in Nigerian politics are a cog in the corrupt Machine.

Including those bent on removing Stella. So what gives?

Ousting her will certainly not remove the faults in the aviation ministry.

For all we know it may make it worse.

Will be watching to see how it all develops.
While I might agree with you on the bolded, the truth is that "he who is caught is the one referred to as a thief, not the one who is perceived to be a thief."

As I always ask when this argument comes up; If 10 armed robbers break into your house, beat you black and blue, cart away your belongings and God forbid molest you or your spouse, and one of them is caught; will you ask that he be released since he wasn't the only one, or he wasn't the ring leader, or the rapist?

Liar, liar, pants on fire! Where you not on this planet when we roundly condemned the like of Farouk Lawan, Femi Otedola, Cecelia Ibru, Alameseigha, Bode George, James Ibori and so on? Or are all these people Ibos too? What is wrong is wrong, irresepective of your tribe. Corruption is wrong.

PBundles: And here Ladies and Gentlemen is the ISSUE we have in Nigeria. We are so stupid to accept that because she may have done good things, we should turn a deaf ear to her thievery. This is that slave menatality that we havent been able to shake off since the Brits left. Because master feed you, master should wip you when he please...Disgusted angry
Double "disgusted" Oh, it's okay to loot blindly as long as you execute some projects. Such sick mentality.

huptin: I must confess that i am disappointed at the way people are viewing this issue with tribal lenses, if an igbo man is caught red handed in corruption igbos rise up to his defence, if it is a hausa woman nko?, the same, the Yorubas are not left behind, yet we want to develop, with this issue, i dare say that Nigeria has just negotiated a dangerous bend that might bring this country to his knees. Its a pity.
It truly is sad. What makes it even worse is the fact that while we are divided with our blind tribal sentiments, those looting us are united in their agenda to suck us dry and leave us for broke. They are smiling to their foreign accounts with our collective wealth while we are busy shouting "leave them alone, they are our sons and daughters" in the midst of our lack of basic amenities.

I weep for the future of this country.

Obi1kenobi: Are you still deceiving yourselves that every country are rotten, corrupt cheats like Naija? grin
Dey there dey console yourself. I'm sorry for the cynics among you that don't know how other societies work and you think all the rubbish accepted in Naija is accepted everywhere. Sorry ehn? Keep supporting our filthy cheating in youth football while other serious countries compete for real senior football. In 5 years, many of these European players would be playing for their national team because they are grooming them now for the future. As for desperate cheating teams like Naija, in 5 years, you may never see or hear about any of these our boys here - just like Yemi Tella's team of cheats like Chrisantus have disappeared. Bitter truth but I tell it as it is.
You know it's amazing how we erroneously believe that countries in the western world cannot twerk people ages if they want to. We are talking about countries that can give a human being a completely new identity just by clicking a button. I'm talking, new name, new records, new everything if they want to.

Now I'm not saying they cheat at age grade competitions, but if they want to, they can and you would never know. All this talk about "oyinbo can't lie about age, they have records is crap." If they want to, they can just by a few clicks of a mouse.

And as far as U-17 cadets graduating to the senior team is concerned, only a handful usually do for most countries. Between 2-5 at most from a squad of 21. You can google it if you want. Of those that came to Nigeria 2009 (4 years ago) only Neymar is a regular for the Brazilian senior side. Germany has Mario Gotze. Spain can probably claim Isco and Borja (who are not even regulars). Nigeria has Omeruo and Onazi. You can even go back to Korea 2007 if you want. Only a handful progress.

aimuafigo: I really don't understand what Manu Garba is thinking with this style of play. Nigeria "Total Football" he calls it. Absolutely zero wing play and the boys apparently don't know how to defend wing play from the opposing team. Coming through the middle was so predictable from the first game. A good coach will tell his defenders to crowd that middle. Pity our coaching crew cannot see it.
And didn't it work for them in the first game? You don't change your starting tactics just because it doesn't work in the first 30 minutes. Let's see if the coach changes his approach in the second half or if his tactics can eventually breakdown the opposition.

Oh, goal!!!

The Swedes are obviously more physical. They are taller and more solidly built and they are using it to full effect against our boys. The coach needs to find a way around this.

dinggle: Enyeama should go and sit down!...the goal that counted against Nigeria was a clean goal, it was his denial that made it embarrassing.
Nigeria won't go beyond the first round of the world cup with a keeper like Enyeama, Keshi & Co should give the home based keepers a chance enough of the professional shit. Did anyone watch Tunisia vs Cameroun match? The Camerounian keeper is a world class goal keeper. Tunisia would have popped Cameroun 4-0 yesterday if not for the keeper.
So, because a goalkeeper had one good game he is now world class? What happens when tomorrow he concedes 3 or 4 goals? Besides, where were you when Enyeama single-handedly stopped Lionel Messi from rubbishing Nigeria at the last World Cup? Guy stop dat kind talk o!
Politics › Re: Senate President, Others Reject N3Billion Official Houses by dabossman(m): 11:57am On Oct 14, 2013
“The National Assembly is the highest democratic body we have apart from the Presidency. And the National Assembly complex has been sold out to the public. The place is being inhabited by all sorts of people.

“We were there on inspection and so we cannot guarantee the safety and security of principal officers of the National Assembly who take decisions on very serious and sometimes critical issues that may impinge on the sensibilities, perception and feelings of others. We must, as a government, protect the principal officers of the National Assembly.

“Leaving them there will expose them to the vagaries of the society. And anybody can be a principal officer; so whoever is there and you leave him there, you are not being fair to him. That is why government decided that as a second tier of government, we will go to an area which is secure and safe for our principal officers to live”, the minister had said.

So, our legislooters are too sacred to live in the midst of mortal men abi? It's is the citizenry that they represent that are now being referred to as "all sorts of people" and are now labelled "vagaries of the society". So, the security of other Nigerians is not important, right? It's a damn shame.

Zika lets be realistic. Even might Spain could only defeat Belarus 2-1, not 10-0, in Spain. In the modern game small teams do spring suprises. And your point about preparation is kinda off. Fifa only mandates clubs to release players 5 days before int'l matches. Gone are the days of endless camping.
