Help me ask him. They are quick to point to the successes they've had after Mou, but turn a blind eye to the massive failure they were having before he came. A big team like Madrid struggling for six seasons to even make the quarterfinals.

Listen to urself... 3 straight semi-finals, a team like real madrid don't aim for semi-final appearance. Madrid's aim is to fight to win d champions league... He could not reach d champions league final with one of d best two players in d world in his squad... Ancelotti came along and did wot madrid fans thought mourinho would do by winning ladecima...
You should be the one listening to yourself. "Madrid's aim is to fight to win the champions league", yet you got knocked out in the round of 16, six years in a row by teams like Arsenal and Lyon. Some fight indeed. You owe you la decima to the foundation Mourinho built. Fact. Yes, he didn't win it, but 3 semis is a sign of fighting to win it, not round of 16 knockouts.

I've always liked Madrid from the days of Redondo, Bodo Illgner, Hierro and co. I just can't stand plastic, ungrateful fans. Los Blancos was suffering before Mou. Then he came and steadied the ship, but these glory hunters just like to chat bollocks.

Please tell me what Madrid's UCL record was before Mourinho was hired. Don't worry I'll help you. Knocked out in the round of 16, six years in a row. Then Mourinho came and 3 straight semifinals. It's very easy for glory hunters to forget the difficult times. You ungrateful lot have already started crucifying Zizou, so nothing new.

I only simply hate the way that Mourinho currently handles the team, it all started from Liverpool game, a lazy team will come out to play Liverpool, a team without defence, a team who plays attacking football without any caution to conceding. Na him Mourinho carry boys wey don dey play well since beginning of season , carry dem go dey defend for Liverpool, affect dem winning mentality
.

This is the result angry

He won't win a single spoon this season angry With such wack mentality. When u play against top teams and u play for a draw instead of play to win, how then are you ready to challenge bigger clubs in ucl. U've accepted defeat then undecided
Real Madrid fan indeed. Pray tell, give five reasons why a Madridsta would be expected to support United. We know some of you Madrid fans dislike Mou, but the fact still remains that he was the one who returned your club to a respectable position after almost 7 years in the wilderness, dwelling under the shadow of Barca. You better focus on the troubles that your club is going through and stop trying to remove the speck in other people's eyes.

Very inspiring.

BTW, Nigeria is bound to fail in woefully in this very sport at the onlympics. So I won't waste my excitement on them.
Yeah man! Nigeria, we have a bobsled team!

At the bolded: Sometimes, it is not all about winning. They have made history by being the first African bobsled team (male or female) to qualify for the Winter Olympics. Even the Jamaican team in Cool Runnings didn't win, but people appreciated their effort. How well the girls will do is something we all have to wait for. We wish them all the best.

bongolistik:
outstanding reply! I told Bilyonaire up there that if people are to be judged only by the content of their characters as he suggested and not by tattoo and other factors, then it means that even what they wear shouldn't also be a criteria for employment since intelligence is in the brain. Maybe people should only wear panties and bra with tattoos to their various offices, and nobody should also judge them for that.

The only thing that Bilyonaire failed to understand is that if these rules are not there, the corporate world wouldn't be what they are today and even the world at large would have gone out of place
And he keeps on throwing around the word "IGNORANT" when in actual fact those companies made VERY INFORMED decisions based on the type of image their organization seeks to portray and how employing this guy with such a visible tattoo may affect that.

Finally, how are we sure this guy got rejected because of his tattoo. Maybe he is just crying wolf and didn't get those jobs because he is incompetent. This entire article is only his side of the story.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Meet Job Hunter Who Got 30 Interviews But Was Rejected Because Of His Neck Tatto by dabossman(m): 9:57am On Nov 12, 2017

Race: One is born into a particular race. No other option.
Gender: Either male or female or hermaphrodite or Bobrinsky.
I frown at people being ostracized for what they have no control over. Getting a tattoo is not one of them. Like they say, forewarned is fore-armed. We live in a highly judgmental world and any rational being should know how to adapt. It is a necessity of life. Racism is wrong and abhorable. Infact it is punishable under the law. However there are some neighbourhoods I have no business entering because I am black just as other races are limited in which areas they can move to or live in. That is common sense at work considering that we don't live in a perfect world.

If this man has his own business, no one would care. But businesses have shown that they are biased against tattoos. What would a sane person do? Don't get hideous tattoos if you want to be employed. A third class graduate can moan all he/she wants, the fact is that businesses prefer first class graduates. The options are vivid: Get stellar grades and increase your odds or remain unemployable. The same goes for tattoos. The hatred for tattoos in the employment arena is known to all. But this kid just had to prove a point. And he did.
And then we are supposed to applaud and accept his poor judgement (read that as stupidity) just so we don't come across as being stupid for not being more liberal.

Every man must be ready to live by the consequences of their action and stop whining about some so called discrimination over something that is self inflicted. He made a choice. The employers also made theirs.

TWoods:
This is a senseless statement. Google, ExxonMobil, Facebook, Amazon - all are corporate giants earning far more than your country spends as its entire yearly budget. You will never find ANY of its public-facing executives with such tattoos. I will bet my last dollar that those people are not "moronic, ignorant or biased". They are simply smart people who understand that branding is a key aspect of remaining competitive. Tattoos may not be bad, but lets be frank, such a tattoo tells me more about the person than anything he/she has to say at an interview. That is a person who is likely impulsive, lacks the capacity for good judgement and shortsighted. Those are traits i would not want in a potential employee.
His comments that you bolded is the real problem with his likes. How someone can label the views of billions of people around the world from different races in such a manner yet claim to be liberal minded baffles me. That level of intolerance is just so amusing.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Meet Job Hunter Who Got 30 Interviews But Was Rejected Because Of His Neck Tatto by dabossman(m): 9:05am On Nov 12, 2017
Billyonaire:
Makes no sense if a business will alter his corporate culture which is supposed to be people-centered to vested interest centered, such businesses are the corporate macrocosm of the myopic individuals who think tattoo culture is a vice.

It does not matter which entity is stupid, I know some individuals are stupid, but corporations are entities too, so corporations are as smart as the minds running them, so if a bunch of ignorant punks with a lot of money in their pockets set up a for-profit organization and change their corporate responsibilities because of vested interest of others who out of THEIR IGNORANCE chastise innocent citizens with body arts and tattoos, it still does not make your argument worth this analogy. I am just stating the obvious and if you are interested in seeing my point of view, then there is no reason you shouldnt see the point. But the ego is our common denominator, and I can see we are doing just fine.

I am hopeful that some day, you all will not only evaluate an opinion but stand up for something, and I hope it be something worth your IQs.
But for me, Billyonaire, I will continue to judge people based on their content of character and not just dismiss them because of an inbuilt ignorant belief that those with tattoos are criminals. That is what this argument is about. We must address that ignorance on the part of individuals or corporate entities to make a head way.

I rest this case (for now)
I'm still trying to locate where it was said that he was turned down because he was perceived as a "criminal".

It is always amusing how folks like you who claim to be liberal tend to be condescending towards people who hold a more conservative opinion to issues. Always quick to ridicule their level of intelligence and what not. I thought being liberal also had to do with being open to divergent views even if you don't totally agree? Must your view point always be the correct and more intelligent one? Maybe you are not so liberal after all.

This life is not fair bro
While I get your point, a lot of things are overpriced in Nigeria; especially basic things that we attach some pseudo class to in this country. When you compare prices here with those abroad sometimes, you just wonder.

However, the business owners are not entirely to blame. The cost of running their establishment makes it that way. Power supply is one key factor. Nigeria is a difficult place to live in and do business.

We are talking about reaching the last four or last eight at least. You don't have to be a superpower for that, just get a lighter group. The ranking already shows we are no powerhouse but games like these should be won to improve our ranking so as to steal a more favourable group. The game against Argentina is also one to at least avoid defeat
Last 8 should probably be the initial target so we can surpass our previous records. Anything after that would be considered a bonus. Nobody in the world would be predicting that Nigeria can make the last four..., except very optimistic Nigerians.

Beating Argentina on Tuesday or avoiding defeat can not be used to judge how well we will do at the Mundial. The team make-up can change drastically between now and the final 23 in June. We've seen that happen before. I remember us loosing games scandalously on the way to France 98 only to beat Spain in our first game and then top our group after another win against Bulgaria. Until the tournament starts proper, everything is conjecture. We've seen World Cup winning teams crashing out in the first round.

Nigerians should manage their expectations to avoid unnecessary frustrations next year. Let's support the team and wish them the best.

The left full back is Ola Aina, a Chelsea product; a boy making his full debut after switching allegiance from England to Nigeria. Of course he is bound to be nervous as he seeks to impress. Even Leon Balogun and Ekong, the two half castes had not too memorable debuts. Now they are more confident after several games.

We are still not ready for the world cup..Honestly if team like Algeria are holding us down i.e we can not beat them easily, we should forget about making impact in Russia.
Argentina barely made it to the world cup. Same with Portugal. They both had to win their last group games to avoid playoffs. Italy is not sure yet. Neither is Australia. Holland missed out totally. So did the USA. Yet teams like Iceland, Panama, Iran, Saudi Arabia qualified from their regions.

The dynamics of qualifiers where you have roughly 5 days to prepare for each game are different from a tournament you have at least 3 weeks of camping to prepare for.

That said, no matter how well prepared we are for the World Cup it would take a lot for us to get to the last 8 or beyond. The type of teams we get in our group could mean a first round exit. Nigeria is not exactly a powerhouse in world football no matter how patriotic we want to be. We have the potential to be, but that is only if we get our football development right at youth level.

Let's not get our hopes up too high. Just cheer the team on for as long as they are in the tournament. Miracles do happen.
