When I said last week that our defence was suspect with Smalling and Jones in defence some folks no gree. At least Jones has even been trying. See what happened immediately he went off.

Our best defenders still remain Bailly and Rojo. Sadly they are both out. Lindelof still has a lot to learn. I just hope we can come back from this.

Get your facts right on the Dubai Palm Islands bro. There are 3 islands in total. Only one is fully completed. The other 2 are still under construction. And it took close to 10 years to finish that one.

Secondly, you can't tell a private developer how quickly he should complete his structure. You don't supervise his budget now. Haba, na so e easy?

Guy, trust me, a port is the least of what Edo state needs for development. Edo state has a great and distinct heritage that they should be milking for tourism opportunities. The state government needs to open their eyes and be more creative. Waiting for FG is a long thing. My two cents.

As long there's a port, the Federal government should fund it and make it standard. We have to drive to Lagos or Calabar to claim goods when there's port in our backyard. Even the south east n co will benefit from it. Too much tribalism in the country.

So the FG that has not built the rail is the one you want to come and expand the port in Edo? You better laugh well in Swahili.

My point is, if the FG were to decide to do the right thing, building a port would probably still not be the right option. A fast rail system would be a better option because it would serve multiple purposes.

Even the federal government will weigh it's options before investing funds in building a seaport.

You mentioned Edo state for instance. How far is Edo state from Lagos? Which would be better, building a railway line that can be used to deliver cargo from the Lagos port to Edo state and its environs or building a port in Edo state. These are factors you consider in developmental planning. Rivers State is also not too far from Edo state.

Massive, functional ports in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar with a good rail network should probably be enough for the federal government. States like Delta, Edo etc can then be allowed to run smaller ports.

Yes, we know there is looting with projects like this, but even Dubai palm island wasn't built in less than 20 years. The project started in 2001 and isn't fully completed yet. You can frown at the looting, but it doesn't mean we should disregard the entire project. Mind you, most of that project is privately financed.

Seriously dude? How long do you think it takes to build a city? The Dubai that you see today started as a project in 1974. And they are not done yet. They are currently working on another project called the Universe, that will take 15-20 years to build.

Who won't allow it? There are many seaports on the American coastlines, but not all of them are equal in terms of commercial viability. There are several other factors that contribute to that including but not limited to level of economic activity, industrialization and access to key commercial cities. Even the size of the port will determine what kind of ships can berth there.

It is quite unfair to say Lukaku is only good at tap ins. That means you didn't follow him at West From or Everton. Lukaku scores with both feet and his head, from outside and inside the box. He even takes on defenders before scoring too.

The problem is with the service. Lukaku flourishes when he receives the ball over the top, or when he runs unto a through to bear down on the opposing goal with power and pace and pick his spot. So far, what I've been seeing is teammates putting the ball to his feet or sending long balls for him to flick on. Pogba is someone whose range of passing would favour Lukaku. I thought Matic had that range too, but he hasn't shown it consistently.

Mourinho didn't set the team up to defend today. The players just didn't show up, and the biggest culprit is Mkhitaryn. He has been below par in the last 3-4 games. Can't complete passes often, can't take on players, he has just been mediocre in that no.10 position. He is supposed to be the creative player to unlock opposing defences the way De Bruyne is doing at Citeh. We're really missing Pogba.

He claimed 16 in 1993 when he was probably 21/22. So in effect he played in the league even when he was under 20. (According to your submission, he only increased his age by 4-5years.

That trend still goes on today. Many of these guys played principal's cup, Shell cup and other competitions as secondary school students and were already being scouted from that level. Immediately they are through with sec. sch they join local clubs and within a couple of years they are playing in the first team. But they reduce their ages in case of national team selection. Many of them as you know never further their education. Some don't even finish sec sch.

Remember the case of Fortune Chukwudi? He joined Sharks at 18, even though he later claimed U17 seven years later. So to say there are no players U20 in the league is a fallacy. There is a boy who played for MFM this season that is claiming 16. But he is probably more like 19. However, he plays in the first team.

Lastly, if Obanta United trained on your school field, then you schooled in Ijebu-Ode I guess. Well, so did I back in the early 90's.

It is your assertion that you must be above 20 be for you can play in the local league that I don't agree with. So, tell me, how old was Kanu in 1992 when he played for Nationale. Back then some said he was already 27 and had been playing in the league for more than 5 years. So did Kanu retire at age 45?

Also, seeing you are a Blues fan, is Diego Costa really 29?

Again, I say that it is a fallacy. Most Nigerian youths finish secondary school at 17-18. And I know some who went straight from secondary school to playing in the league. This is because they were already playing for small academies even while in secondary school. To say there are no 18 or 19 year old's in our league is a great and false generalization. They may not be many, but to say "none"? Haba.

The only thing is that the 19 year old will probably be claiming 16.

I'm not holding brief for Omeruo, but the bolded is a fallacy. Lukaku is 24. Pogba is 23. Does Omeruo look a day older than any of them? But forget footballers. Why do we also doubt musicians and actors. Will a younger age make them any better or give them an advantage? That's my point.

No. Those calling her out have never had to share a meter or NEPA line with others. The truth is sharing a meter or power line with another tenant is a recipe for disaster. He can very well decide not to pay. I once told NEPA officials to disconnect me and pack their cables away because I was no longer interested in their services. I kept getting heavy estimated bills even when I had a meter, and the power supply was very poor. It paid me to power myself and regulate how I use electricity than pay heavily for a service I wasn't getting. The arrogance of the NEPA officials was the most annoying.

After my threats, the marketer chilled out and was willing to discuss a way forward. I've moved on from there now. But the power is still shitty everywhere.

In Nigeria, no matter what age you say you are, people will never believe you; especially when you are a public figure. Be you a footballer, musician, actor, politician, whatever. Everybody is perceived to be lying about their age, even if it gives you no comparative advantage whatsoever.
